Wikipedia: Nastaʿlīq (also anglicized as Nastaleeq; in Persian: نستعلیق nastaʿlīq) is one of the main calligraphic hands used in writing the Perso-Arabic script, and traditionally the predominant style in Persian calligraphy.[1] It was developed in Iran in the 8th and 9th centuries.[citation needed] It is sometimes used to write Arabic-language text (where it is known as Taʿliq[citation needed] and is mainly used for titles and headings), but its use has always been more popular in the Persian, Turkic, and South Asian spheres of influence. Nastaʿlīq has extensively been (and still is) practiced in Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan for written poetry and as a form of art. However, it is harder to read than Naskh.A less elaborate version of Nastaʿlīq serves as the preferred style for writing Persian, Kashmiri, Punjabi and Urdu, and it is often used alongside Naskh for Pashto. Nastaʿlīq was historically used for writing Ottoman Turkish, where it was known as tâlik[2] (not to be confused with a totally different Persian style, also called taʿliq; to distinguish the two, Ottomans referred to the latter as ta'liq-i qadim = old ta'liq).Nastaʿlīq is the core script of the post-Sassanid Persian writing tradition, and is equally important in the areas under its cultural influence. The languages of Afghanistan (Dari, Uzbek, Turkmen, etc.), Pakistan (Punjabi, Urdu, Kashmiri, Saraiki, etc.), India (Urdu, Kashmiri, Rekhta), and the Turkic Uyghur language of the Chinese province of Xinjiang, rely on Nastaʿlīq. Under the name taʿliq (lit. “suspending [script]”), it was also beloved by Ottoman calligraphers who developed the Diwani (divanî) and Ruqah (rık’a) styles from it.Nastaʿlīq is amongst the most fluid calligraphy styles for the Arabic alphabet. It has short verticals with no serifs, and long horizontal strokes. It is written using a piece of trimmed reed with a tip of 5–10 mm (0.20–0.39 in), called "qalam" ("pen", in Arabic and Persian "قلم"), and carbon ink, named "davat". The nib of a qalam is usually split in the middle to facilitate ink absorption.Two important forms of Nastaʿlīq panels are Chalipa and Siah-Masq. A Chalipa ("cross", in Persian) panel usually consists of four diagonal hemistiches (half-lines) of poetry, clearly signifying a moral, ethical or poetic concept. Siah-Masq ("inked drill") panels, however, communicate via composition and form, rather than content. In Siah-Masq, repeating a few letters or words (sometimes even one) virtually inks the whole panel. The content is thus of less significance and not clearly accessible.

App is good. Please upgrade this and add fonts style option.
It is good to use the app and type nastaliq. Would be perfect if could be used when messaging.
Easy to use, but why words always get underlined automatically when written or pasted.? I dont know the solution to this problem.
To facing a problem in Nastaliq, I uninstalled it and again reinstalled, during this practice my previous typed data is disappeared from Nastaliq. How I can recover it??
Should have the ability to display Nastaleeq font on the keyboard instead of openi g a new app where nastaleeq can be written.

with out key board how i can write down please show the key board.I am not a expert and know vry littl about the use of computer ,but i want to write in urdu NASTALEEQ .It is beauty full and you can express your self in your national language .More over any body can write, poetry ,article and Theseus ,even you can type a book also .IT WAS MY PLEASURE if i write all this in Urdu,but any how sooner are latter i will do it with your help.I hope that ones i started to to do this i will do it.

It is not Nastaleek font it is rather Naskh. Nastaleeq is like Newspapers are written in.

this software is available BUT it does not work for many words e.g., محمد۔ کھینچئے ۔ such words cannot be wrptten.so there is need for further work to improve.
Can you make it work with Android Office e.g Office Suite or Polaris. So that nastalique urdu fonts appear in the office suite.

We want to write in any chat window, don't want to copy and paste in any chat window. It should write within default keyboard.

To Me, Font Update is not good for Urdu writing compare to previous full version v1.2, Maybe You Should Separate Persian Font, but Urdu looks very bad in this Font
Thanks guys you did correct all the mistakes i was complaining of , now i can write بھ without mistakes گ is also better now , thanks guys giving 5 stars right away. Urdu is connected to the history of india and i love it as much i love hindi punjabi and english :)
I have an older version that is better than new. Any new addition you made to make font better,in my opinion, made the font worst.
I have installed rabia urdu keyboard and i have also installed urdu nastaleeq keyboard and installed multiling o keyboard Why? Nastaleeq keyboard is not appearing in my mobile language setting. (2) In typing text it is not appearing as my default keyboard. (3) Why it is not shown as text nastaleeq urdu.
It looks like a Independent online web- based keyboard. Its output should be a JPG image for proper display on the opposite side (your chatting mate). There are so many cases like this on the Internet. Sorry but you didn't do anything special..
