Found some iron works because of site. Map decent but wouldn't resize so I had to screen shot and then enlarge. I really need a bigger screen than my phone.
Downloaded and deleted within 10 minutes. App has info on only a small percentage of National Forests.
The site is excellent but a little slow
I uninstalled this app, its worthless. I use "Visitor Map"
It's easy to use and will answer the majority of your questions or tell what contact you need to get your questions answered
just started useing ; ask me in 6 months ,then I can evaluate objectively.
Very informative. There is more to do than I thought here.
Could not bring up app
So Much Information about our Nation's National Forests
Great app to use
Doesn't include Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest
Informative
Not a helpful app at all. I can get the exact same information from Google and pull up the exact same maps through my phone's standard map app. Doesn't cover trails or any pertinent information. Also requires you to download for each forest just to give you the same world map. The only thing this app really does is show you the location of ranger stations without having to search for them. Don't waste your time.
Not very many places yet. Checked several in Washington state and Montana. None available. Requires far too many permissions to install. Needs to be updated for current android versions.
Of course leave it to the government to contract a company to make a really crappy app.
No NF in my home state of GA. I would consider reinstalling this if Chattahoochee NF was included.
Only provides for very few locations.
The app sounds very promising, but version 1.2 on android is not usable - javascript errors from startup and can't do anything. Please fix it. Same after reinstalling.
Sucks, doesn't have my Prescott national forest
Only 3 stars until you have full map coverage of the Tongass Nat'l Forest
Should I have to download the app first before usage? Is this an official app?
Not ready for prime time. It did not recognize my connection to the internet and so they missed out on someone taking their survey. Lot of text but not enough info about fees, facilities, or hours of operation. Plenty of room for improvement.
Disappointed. Not very many listed. Several that im planning to go to are not on the list. Nantahala, Chattahoochee, etc. The map does list these as national forests. Please update
Nantahala (Appalachian Trail), Talladega (Pinhoti Trail), and William Bankhead National Forests are all left out, not to mention just about all of the Southeast. I am uninstalling. Will reinstall if this is ever fixed.
It's f-ing stooped you have to us two fingers to more the map around
Great layout and interface. But it only has a handful of national forests. Manistee-Huron isn't in it, nor are the ones near DC. Can't tell how they included some and not others. The ones that have info just seem to have general descriptions, not enough info to do any trip planning. Should at least link to detailed info online.
Good idea,.. terrible implementation, there are several forests, some VERY BIG, that are not even included in the data base.
You don't even have the Huron National Forest in Michigan
Crashes all the time and largely seems to be links to web pages that aren't mobile optimized anyway.
