The app is fine. It does what it offers. I switched devices and it was a simple matter of using my login and the app didn't skip a beat. Records my rides. It isn't always accurate when I start moving so I have to manually hit record most of the time. One warning: It is MANDATORY to run this app ALWAYSin the background. No chance to opp out of it. It's a battery hog. So be aware!

It's a good concept, but the app can not tell the difference between driving your car vs. riding the light rail. Plus if you drive a company car during the day you have to go in the app and select not my trip on every single recorded trip. After some time I just gave up but I'm supposedly still getting a discount. I'm sure a device that plugs in your car is much more accurate and probably would result in a greater discount.

While the app is easy to use, it doesn't record my trips properly. I drive a total of roughly 60 miles total, every day, to and from work. (30 there, 30 back) and it seems to only calculate a mile or two of it. So far I've only used it for two days. Definitely needs fixing, not sure if it's because I'm in the mountains and sometimes we lose reception.

Inaccurate and poorly designed. The app doesn't allow me to remove myself as driver for trips often. I rarely drive because of travel for work and the app will not always let me remove trips. This left me with hundreds of miles for which I was a passenger many weeks. I contacted support about this (twice) and received no reply. Last week I switched to a new phone and didn't install the app. I'm still showing over 300 miles for time when I didn't even have the app around. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Steaming hot garbage. Kills my data and my battery. Although Google follows me everywhere and maintains a database of my every move, it's not the same when my insurance company does it. Will be changing my plan to remove this. The app itself struggles to maintain connection. In auto mode, it misses most of my rides. It often cuts rides in half or splits them into smaller trips. Would not recommend.

Hard brake events are often tallied incorrectly. For example, there are 2 such events showing in the logs for one day, yet the sum total for that day is 4. On other days, the app doubles the hard brake count at one time, i.e. it shows two separate events one after the other but they have the same exact time which makes no sense. This doubling of events is causing a negative impact on my dashboard metrics.

doesnt always work, sometimes trips show up and other times trips are missing. or it doesnt start reading for a while so the trip seems shorter than it actually was. if app doesnt work well then it cannot accurately determine discounts what good does it do us if not. a plug in device would be better.

First thing wrong is that you have to use the app for 6 months before you get your permanent discount. Second thing is that the app always has a live notification in the tray, two in fact, and you can't get rid of them. There are a lot of other things wrong, like if you stop your car for a while but don't exit, it thinks you're idling in traffic. It's a poorly conceived app.

The idea of the app is great, but I don't believe it collects enough information or offers enough options for the driver. I also feel the hard stops and fast acceleration algorithm is inaccurate. I am fairly new to the app so I'm not sure if it will actually save money or not, I guess that's the desired results in the end.

Terrible. You can go in a store and leave the phone in the car and it considers you idling. Since when was sitting at a long red light considered a driving hazard? I don't idle in traffic. We just happen to have long red lights. Doesn't even account for speeding. And night driving? In my town there are no cars on the road at night...very very safe. Terrible app.

I think it does a pretty good job in what it is supposed to do. However the main issue I have is if drop my phone it sometimes counts as a major event when nothing happened. Sometimes I place my phone in the wrong spot and I'm driving safely and it falls and it didn't even slam the brake or anything and then its recorded on the app I did 😒. But other than that it's good.

If I could give it 0 stars I would! The app logs idle time when I am parked! Claims I am driving on roads that I'm not driving on, and logs hard break and hard accelerations at complete random! I had 4 in one trip and none of them were in areas that would make sense like getting going or coming to a stop sign. This app is complete garbage!!

This app has been nothing but a headache. You have to jump through hoops just to use the app. The app doesn't even work properly. CS has no clue how to troubleshoot and they leave you hanging! They can't even troubleshoot when LexisNexis troubleshoots to them. It's honestly ridiculous! Worst app I have ever experienced. Major bugs!! Beware.

The app is a mess, no question about it. Thanks to Nationwide's customer service, we got my issues sorted out, and I finally got the discount applied over six months after I finished the program. I have to rate the app low because of the headaches, but the end result was good.

Very finicky app. Requires a lot standard phone settings to be altered such as power savings which competitor products don't require. Took 4 different install and setting adjustments to successfully download and actually record trips. Incorrectly accounts "hard breaking" and "idle time" data as well.

Not good if you can pool alot. It assumed if you go somewhere then you always go there and you need to correct almost instantly otherwise it looks you in. Also any moderate acceleration indicates bad driving, which means you should avoid getting on via short on ramps. So that means avoid Pennsylvania highways. It should really only count hard breaking.

First week it picked up 70+ miles I didn't drive. Since then, doesn't always pick up all the miles, i.e. drive to work is 15 miles, it picks up 13. It doesn't always pick up all the time, either. Haven't received notifications yet. App is okay.
