I bought 2 of the Kickstarter Clairy, and only just moved into my new house to use them. Set up was easy enough, but I can't update the firmware for either of the planters no matter what I try so for now it just keeps telling me to update and then I get a message that says there's an error so I can't update afterall. I like the planters though, and the fans work so we'll see over time if my air quality stays consistent/improves.
We initially really enjoyed our clairy until the app stop connecting with my Clairy and couldn't sign on just like other reviews here. Reached out on their Instagram and got no response. It was a good concept with a really bad customer and IT support. They changed the company's name, redesigned the product and basically left the old users of Clairy to figured out problems on our own.
My Clairy was working fine for about 6 months but recently it no longer connects to my Wi-Fi network. Tried everything, e.g. resetting the device, removing my profile and starting over. The updates to the app haven't helped at all.
This app runs the coolest plant pot that is also an air freshener. It takes in the CO2 and puts out Oxygen with a fan AND measures the air quality of the room, even remotely by using my phone! love
Can't even connect and they don't even let you hear a sample to see if you'll like it. Stupid.
Doesn't work at all. Never connected to my Clairy, just waiting all the time. EDIT: After 2 app updates still doesn't work at all. 3 phones, different brand and models, no luck. Regarding the developer response, I did contact support many times, providing my phone details, answering questions, sending print screens. What else should I do? EDIT 2: After the last update it worked on one of my devices, which allowed me to initially configure it, now it can be used on all devices. It is buggy tho, lacks features and has template glitches. EDIT 3: It worked only for 2 weeks, after that it never worked again on any device, even after the latest update.
Edit 2020: The app crashing has been fixed and the timers now work. The sensor is more stable, as it was wildly swinging from poor to perfect. But the problem is that the device losses connection every one to three months. It just stops responding and requires a reset. After more than 2 years of use I can attest the ability to filter air is limited. If you really want to filter air get a HEPA filter. If you just want a fancy pot with a not so quiet PC fan then buy this.
Do not trust this company or buy any of its product, they are dishonest and deceiving, stay away or you will regret it.
I'm pretty satisfied with this app. The app was always the weakness for me, I always loved my clairy pot itself. There seems to have been a lot of work put into the app and it shows.
I had to use another phone to set up the Clairy, ma after that, I can use the app it with mine (OnePlus One). The fan status command/update is very slow, but that's not a big problem. And the new app design it's modern and sleek, a pleasure to view
The app is 1000% better. Great, modern UI. Very responsive team. I'm now one happy customer. Thanks for listening.
I want so badly to say great things about my Clairy but I cannot get it to connect after hours of frustration - including the fact that the Clairy website has no content to help troubleshoot - nothing. I followed all the app suggestions to get the connection to work - many times. All fail. What good is a new firmware if you cannot connect to the planter to install the firmware? I am sorry Clairy, this has been a disappointment. When friends visit and are interested in the planter, I unfortunately cannot endorse the solution. If the app does not work, then all I have is a planter with a faint fan noise - what's the benefit of that?
I have been trying for months to synchronis the app with the pot finally today after a software update it worked, my indoor air tells me it's healthy. Left door open for ten minutes and now tells me it's unhealthy?? I live in the rural area, not much traffic ect so seeing that supprised me, sadly no information about what to do to improve it, keep my doors closed I suppose.
Measurements and controls for the Clairy pots. Setup can be glitchy, and the historical data screen doesn't automatically load data when opened, but it's getting better.
So at the beginning when I first got clairy, the app worked fine, but now I can't get any data. Is it because I haven't been actively checking in on the app?
Beautiful Italian craftsmanship meets average app design. Honestly I don't care about the app. I don't need to see a graph of the temperature in my house. The device works. It's beautiful. I use the timer for on and off. The rest of the app is a bit ropey tbh but as I say - who cares.
I can no longer get a direct connection via the app, both before and after connecting to the clairy AP. Unusable, with unhelpful messages. --reply/fix I'm pretty sure the app didn't work anymore because there was data stored by the previous version of the app that the new version of the app could not handle. What I did to solve it was delete the app's cache.
Update: After last update app is working again as before. Fails to maintain connection when sending credentials. Resetting only works once in a while, otherwise no wifu signal at all. Before the updates it worked fine.
This app now works and also connects great with Clairy. I look forward to any further features if any.
Need more specifics for air quality, need more instructions or smartness on when fans should turn on. Good looking pot.
Recent app updates have completely solved the connectivity issues we've battled since receiving our Clairy. We love how the pot looks, and our snake plant is growing like crazy! Now that the app works we are satisfied with our purchase!
Luckily I've missed the worst of the early versions and connectivity issues. Mine has worked fine and the app is generally reliable. There are still refinements and improvements that need to be made, and the app really needs some built-in help to explain some of the less intuitive UI elements.
The hardware and idea for the clairy is great. 5/5. I am not a huge fan of the app. It took several attempts to get the clairy info to "save". Kept erroring out at the last step. 3/5.

Works fine for me. A lot of negative reviews but mine set up without much issue and now connects every time.
App does not sync with the pot. The product itself dries out the plant. Very disappointing.
Tried for close to an hour now to connect app to my clairy premium, but no luck... first few times it said that my wifi credentials must be incorrect (they were correct), now it just keeps on "checking if clairy is online"... This is very dissapointing, could have found cheaper air purifying plant pots without app for sure out there... Update: since december I have been in contact regarding the app issue, no reply since January and still no fix .. very bad support from Clairy!
