*** It needs to have an audio alert not just the icon appearing at top of mobile screen which can be easily missed if not watching phone. *** Works OK & useful for extra online safeguard.
Not fit for purpose. View some pointless graphs? tick! Natwest branding? smashed it! Nice colours? got it! Download historic transactions so they can be used in a spreadsheet for accounting purposes? umm. didn't think of that one. Do businesses need to account for their spending? surely that's optional. And boring. Pretty colours! things that move!
Probably the worst app I've ever used. Crashes on almost every login. If you're ever lucky enough to actually get into the app the keyboard ends up covering half of the information on screen with no way of getting rid of it... And then it crashes. I don't understand how this passes as a legitimate app - that said, the whole Clearspend website is almost totally unusable so hardly surprising. I'll be cancelling my NatWest Business credit card because of this awful service. Avoid!!
Very user unfriendly (as was its predecessor) now totally unusable as I'm going round in circles with the app telling me to update and Google play not having an updated version! Difficult to know who's to blame
As with previous comments given, I am being told that I am using a version of ClearSpend that is no longer supported and should upgrade...however, there is no upgrade available! Please sort asap!
rubbish app doesnt let you download csv files, which are a basic requirement. really pathetic coming from a so called major bank.
Like very many of the reviews, "something went wrong" pops up every time you try to download a statement. This is literally the only function I want from this app. I note Natwest responding to these reviews with the same word for word response about emailing in for support. Can't you just make it work for everyone rather than just those that email in?
This is a truly horrible app. A mess visually and inpenetrable navigation. There's no way for me to see transactions without opening a PDF within the app, which then won't download. Surely not developed by the people who make the very good Natwest banking app. I preferred the old school CardsOnline website. Rather basic in looks, but it actually worked.
I can't even open the app. It keeps telling me that the version I have is no longer supported and I need to update the app but there is no update to do so it's basically just sending me round in circles. Let us attach the card to the main banking app, it would be so much easier.
Pointless if you have no phone signal. So if you live in an area with flaky or no phone signal don't bother. They insist on sending a text message to your phone EVERY time you log on. The fact your on the app shows that you have a connection to the Internet so why not send the code via twitter, WhatsApp, messenger or the like?? So to add to original review in February nothing has been done still no access to my account when at work. If you have no phone signal forget it its useless
Cannot see any transactions at all. Installed and reinstalled but no joy. Totally opposite to the Natwest Banking app which is very user friendly. What is the point of an app if I cannot see the ongoing transactions? Needs to be sorted ASAP.
The app constantly crashes whenever I go to view transactions on each users cards. The only way I can view it is by going on the desktop site. What's the point in having an app if you can't use it?!
Very poor from a National Bank. The name of the app itself is appropriately inappropriate, there is nothing clear about the format/layout of this app, whoever designed it clearly doesn't have a Natwest business credit card! It consistently fails and locks up and trying to find relevant info is painful, it's all there, but finding it is frustrating. The alternative is cards online website, which is so dated. Come on Natwest, you are a National Bank!
Apparently my installed version of the app is now out of date and the app requires me to upgrade. However, according to the Play store, I am using the latest version of the app and there isn't a newer version to download. Great! 😡
This is one of the worst finance apps I use - the log-in is poor and often locks me out (for example the fingerprint log-in doesn't work); the user interface is appalling, and the actual tools fairly useless.
App doesn't send email to complete registration. It's also completely rediculous to have a seperate app for a credit card. Why not have it all together in the NatWest business banking App?
Not very clear spend.. Home screen says I owe one amount and the pie chart says another. Also i can't see payments that I've made to the account. Home screen icons look like you should be able to click on them for further options but they do nothing. (Home screen is pointless) We struggle on..
Still not working says its out of date,has anyone got it to work yet,I've removed and reinstalled but still won't work
The app won't let me log in! It keeps saying I'm not using the latest version and to update! There was no update so I reinstalled the app and same problem. Sort this out NatWest. This was a poor app to start with but at least I could view my spending, now I can't do anything!
Says app needs an update.. however this update does not exist. How do I check the balance and pay the bill?
Terrible app why cant the businesses credit card for natwest be on the the standard Natwest app all of my other accounts are on it but i have to use this terrible app that makes no sence once you have logged in, it doesnt give yiu a clear end of month payment like other banking apps and every 90 days it makes you change your password that turns into a fiasco every time. I really dislike this app.

Truly awful. Support line inundated. On hold for half an hour and gave up. App is next to useless. Can't download statement copies and the website won't let me log in. Not good enough. Why did you decommission cards online, at least it worked. Going back to paper postal statements.
Poorly designed and not easy to use. Has very little functionality. Checking your card payments is not intuitive and you can do very little else.
Downloaded, registered - worked once; not worked since... simply won't open - suspect Natwest doesn't actually test anything before release. Tried this a second time as NatWest are removing credit card info from a functioning app to a still non-functioning one. Note to self - must find new bank that aren't muppets...
Nightmare this app, constantly keeps crashing and now I can not get on it
Now won't open... was working fine. Now I get a message telling me I'm using a version that's no longer supported and to upgrade to the latest app version. This is despite me having uninstalled and downloaded the app again... edit and now it shows me it can be updated in the app store, which I've done and it now works. Not exactly a seamless update. Come on sort it out or everyone will have the same runaround.
