Have used all day while flying the skydive plane. No issues. Only one big I found was it does not like to switch to night mode. But I have an older android tablet which that might be the issue. I have to install it and re install for it to correct it self. Other then that. It is not as detailed as the USA maps but it works when I fly for Search and rescue.
Worked fine for 6 months. Last chart update broke it... blank sectionals. Waited for new chart cycle today and updated charts and same issue. Says completed updating in about 3 minutes which is inconceivable. Uninstalled and started fresh, selections for maps were still there through uninstall so same issue. No maps. Paid annual subscription but now unusable. Development seems stalled, no features added in 8 months+. UI is not efficient for actual pic in-flight use. I've waited too long, jumping ship. It's unusable now anyhow and I had to fall back to using avare during a recent x-country.
Great app during the trial version, when i purchased it, it didnt open and kept saying my subscription had expired. I have tried to contact the support team with no success. No way to get a refund either. I dont know if anyone else has experienced this, but tread cautiously before paying up. Its an amazing app, i hope support will get back to me and clear this mess.
V4.0 will not load help file on samsung s7 or nexus 10 tablet, otherwise seems fairly easy to use. I like the idea of 3d synthetic vision which is missing from my current app, droidefb. Update: as of 7/2/19 I've not received any response to an email I sent the authors about several bugs I found in the program. At this point it's totally useless on my Samsung S7 due to unending crashes. Too bad, it looked like it had potential, but, the authors do not appear to give a damn about providing support.
This was my preferred app, but the latest 4.0 update crashes immediately upon launching. I tried clearing cache and data, but still doesn't work. Same behavior on both my older Tab S2 tablet and my newer OnePlus 6T phone. If you're going to abandon the app, then please just ABANDON it! Or, even better, donate it to the community. But don't sabotage it with whatever this version was supposed to be!
When I got a new phone and exceeded the device limits that apply to this app I couldn't use it on my new phone. I notified Naviator of my problem, after business hours on Friday, and got my problem resolved by early Saturday morning! Outstanding customer service! And it's a great app that I've used for years. Highly recommend.
I've used this app for several years and been happy with it until recently. A few months ago it started crashing when I turn on night mode. I've submitted the logs several times and a support ticket. There has been no response. I have to uninstall it and do a fresh install to get the app to open.
Began using Naviator years ago when transitioning from paper to electronic VFR sectional maps. This was truly revolutionary considering that Naviator had been stable and trustworthy, substantially complementing the yoke mounted Garmin Aero 550. Unfortunately, Naviator developed a nasty habit of bailing without notice, sometimes unable to restart for hours or days, never able to determine cause, remedy, or workaround. Naviator has noteworthy features, but am meanwhile testing other alternatives.
Using Naviator 3 years on Motorola and Sumsung phones. Works perfectly. Inflight rubber band for course changes is fabulous. Never suceeded in transferring user waypoints to a new phone. Cheap for the features. version 4.0 update stopped working. removed and installed 3.91 apk from website, now working again. UPDATE 4/20 all functions working with Samsung S8 android 9 but lost saved user waypoints and aerial view dark when zoomed in. Still a 5 for me.
Kept crashing consistently (across devices) whenever I tried tap on a tab. Bought subscription and email support multiple times, but received no response. This seemed very promising, especially with synthetic vision, but the app now seems abandoned.
Like others have said, they take your money but don't provide support anymore. Buggy and not that great of features. I prefer other free apps over this one. Too bad, I was really hoping it would integrate nicely with my Stratux.
Very nice app, I have not used it in flight yet, but it appears to make my old Garmin obsolete.. I have one big problem so far.. this app does not have VFR sectional maps for UAE and middle East region. Is there a way for me to purchase them and add them to this app. I would like to buy this app if I can have access to VER maps. Thanks
nice app for basic navigation. dont expect Forflight, you get what you pay for and that means this little app is a good deal. most advances features did not realy function. but the basic GPS maps and route info are great.
Works great on my Nexus 7 (2013) with a bluetooth GPS antenna. ADSB with my Eaco UAT really helps in some of the more congested areas. Glad it's made for Android instead of being ported from an IOS platform.
The last thing I want to do in the ccckpit is to have to enter a login and password to make something work. Especially if other things are going wrong at the same time. Complete fail.
Great app. Intuitive. No support at all. Forum unreachable, emails not answered. Looks like the company has abandoned the app. You buy as is.
Developers have not made any update since 2017. I think if they add a few features (as best gliding ratio) it would compete against premium navigation apps.
I didn't tested it in the air yet, only on the ground. It sems to offer everything you'll ever need for an ultralight, for a fair price.
Worked fine till the time i dint buy it(life time outside US).... showing subscription expired after purchase from day 1. No support even after repeated mail... When i checked the reviews.. same issue is being faced by many users.... This app needs a costumer support cell, please don't waste your 1000 indian rupees you will neither get services nor money back..
Deleted older version after it kept locking me out. Paid for new version and it works much better so far. Need to update my phone I think.
Navigator works well on my phone and my tablet while flying. And for the price for year is nice.
Just closes immediately after the terms and conditions page. Can't get into the app
I've been using this for a few years now. The features available, and the ease of use are awesome. You can't go wrong.
Updates load quickly, and it's easy to use. Great value for the price
Works very well with almost no glitches. Particularly happy with Flightbox interaction.
I love this app however i bought the full subscription and it still says subscription valid until oct 8 ihave wrote an email stating this please help
I have been using naviator for over 7 years and like it. Recently, I flew with three other apps and compared all things related to use in the cockpit. Naviator still came out on top. I would like to see a few more features added to naviator and chage the way a few things work. However, the other apps I tried were either missing some important features or were really clunky and not user friendly.
