First I loved it but I changed love to like because we need to pay for long navigation
Is the best GPS navigation system I use
Purchased this app. Now asking me to pay again to continue using it. Complete rubbish!
It keeps loosing GPS signal. I keep getting a red message regularly "GPS signal lost" Recently it started to take me of the main road at main intersections saying I should turn left or right and then it puts me back on the initial road. Not happy at all. For 42£ I was aspecting no problems. I think I will ask for my money back.
I've used many other Navigation apps on a iPhone and Android. I've used Tom Tom which is pathetic and I've also used Sygic (both paid). neither out done the Navigon app which I've used before long ago. I mean it is by Garmin one of the top leading Navigation engines. Garmin been around for years with stand alone navigation devices so I just knew that Navigon would be the choice of navi app to go with! EASY 5 STARS*****!! Turn by turn right on time with accuracy!!
Overall the best smartphone sat nav out there and I have tried them all. Unfortunately this is also the most expensive! The reason this app wins out is the voice guidance which is hands down far superior to any other app. The voice gives timely and extremely clear instructions, which includes road names, all in a very natural non-robotic manner. The choice of three different routes is good, as are the pleasant day and night modes. There are only a few areas that cause me to grumble. Firstly the POIs on the map are tiny and impossible to see. Another issue is the route options. We are given three but before we have zoomed in and started to choose which route to take the app quickly chooses for us and proceeds to navigation. There needs to be an indefinite delay whilst we decide which of the three routes to take. Also, the old iPhone app gave a turn by turn text summary of the route yet that fairly essential feature is missing here. Finally, the price. There is a whopping 35% off currently in a flash sale and yet the app still costs £42!! When there are decent free of charge sat nav apps out there you are never going to sell this to the newer generations for that kind of money. This app shouldn't be more than £40 in the first place, let alone with 35% knocked off. In a flash sale you should be charging £25 tops and even then most will still go for Google, Waze or Here We Go purely because they cost absolutely nothing and whats more they get the job done. Work on your pricing guys and address the few shortcomings of this great app.
I was very excited to try this as I have been a Garmin user for many years. However, this seems to be missing some of the basic functionality that my hardware GPS device has. I cannot seem to have customisable displays of speed, arrival time, etc on the side of the screen. I can't find how to display a text summary of the route. I cannot find a way of displaying an overview map of the entire route. The choice of voices isn't as good as on a physical device. The interface isn't anywhere near as clean and easy to operate whilst in the car. I can't see any easy access to OSGB map references. If anything I would expect more from a piece of software that is able to take advantage of a modern tablet, but unfortunately not. This is a real shame as Garmin devices are light-year's ahead of Tom Tom etc.
The view on the map is far too narrow in landscape mode (how you normally use it on smartphone I suppose). There is only half of the screen height used for the map and the rest its spoiled with information bars... Please hide the Android bar and make the app bars transparent or much smaller like on Windows version. I'm owning a license already on Windows but this way I'm not prepared to pay for the Android one... it is a shame for an otherwise extremely nice app!! I would for sure recommend it if the screen issue was solved.
atleast let current owners of navigon roll over to this version, even if its for a small $5 fee...
Maps failed to download multiple times. Would get to 100% and stay there, requests to download the same again after exit and re open. Plain old fashioned doesn't work.
Its ok but needs improvement to warrant the £42 sale price, never mind the £70 normal price, you're better of getting a PND. If you must go software and willing to pay choose Sygic or TomTom and this is from a Garmin user.
I have bought Navigon because of my compatible HUD but I can not connect them. I don't know what the problem is. I have owned in the past the same software and HUD but on a different mobile phone and ewerithing functioned...????
I couldnt get the app to download the maps. Waste of time.
I paid over almost £100 for this app and its all upgrades and suddenly now when I installed it afer some time using the same account the app is asking me to buy it again. Can you please explain me this?
All of a sudden im being charged £3.99. I did not sign up for this. I paid in full.. already
waze is by far a better. Dont waste your time with this app
Better but not there yet.
Doesn't work with Oreo
The best navigation app !
It is SOO Amazing for Navgion
App says it cannot obtain GPS signal once pressed on car icon, however shows position on map correctly and position data, elevation also correctly, but can't calculate route to destination. Device OnePlus 3T, android 7.1. Also it seems program has no ability to import custom routes or POI's. Buggy and not useful.
Oh dear, used to have a PND by NAVIGON which,in my opinion used to be the RR ,so when I got a decent Samsung thought I'd give the app a try,but it's turned into a Trabbant The ETA is rubbish which you may be able to live with, but the traffic information is truly awful. It shows the same traffic hold ups in the same place everyday and it says the M1 J24 is permanently closed which it hasn't been for at least 18 Months which affects me as it trys to take me J25 coming from the South. So if you want to still have the best looking and easy to use Sat Navs feel free but I wouldn't recommend it. As an aside I do around 65000 miles a year so need a fairly accurate Sat Nav
Very disappointing for a premium app. Keeps jumping off the road you are travelling and thinks you've turned round etc. Driving down motorway and starts jumping onto roads next to the road you are on. Very poor. Going back to trusted and free Google maps.
I bought the iOS version and when i changed my phone they told me i can not use my license that i already purchased from them, they want me to buy a new one, very unprofessional, they lost my business, i dont want to use their app anymore...
For some reason even after paying quite a bit for any app i am being told my subscription is expired. Why do I have to purchase a subscription for an app i purchased for nearly $50. Aside from being significantly outdated compared to other navigation apps i now need to re-purchase this app. Terrible!
Can't believe. An app that has the offer to be free for 7 days, but not works at all! Can't even open for the first time, though I tried several times, even in the app manager to set all access it needs. I use a Samsung s7 edge. Android 7.0
I buy it full last year (Europe version) and it is OK. Search mode is not so intuitive (default is using data and in roaming is painful) but if you manage to find the right way to search addresses (by selecting country/city/street) it is very useful.
Used to be a good app when i first purchased it a few years ago. Went to use it today and some update along the way turned the app i purchased into a pay to use app. Im pretty sure this is a breach of the developer agreement.
