Great overall but a few small quibbles. I like to use Naviki as an aid when playing Turf as it allows me to see routes and shortcuts that the Turf app doesn't. However i find it moderately annoying that different turf zone markers appear and disappear at different zoom levels (to each other that is). There's no apparent logic for this. As a result I've occasionally missed some zones or needed to double back.
Fab app, has opened up a whole new world for me. Love the fact that the app steers you away from main roads, I've discovered roads and routes I didn't know existed even though I've lived in the same place for 30 years! Also love the round trip button. Just set the distance you want to go and it comes up with lots of options for you. Thanks Naviki 😺
Problems registering, not sure what the problem is. Paid for the US map, yet only a small region is detailed with roads and trails. Maybe it takes time to download? But I have waited for awhile. Maybe I'm not understanding how things work? Nothing beyond my current position. There's other small things that seem clunky to me. I'm not that picky but i wouldn't recommend this app when there are several other similar apps that work better, have better options, better user experience, etc.
Can't find the option to use metric units instead of feet/miles. Perhaps the app is using the locale of the phone. Still stupid, there are amercans who would use the metric system as well, so why not include the option in the app to adjust this? EDIT: so apparently you can set the measurement system if you have a naviki account. I don't want one. This setting should not depend on this.
Overall a great little app. One star deducted because I just purchased the Activities and Successes add-on and it's not working properly. My four rides on this app are saved to my account (cloud icon) and are included in the 28 day and 365 day activity log. However, the All Time log only shows the rides on the map but not in the data ie. All Time is missing some rides in the data, even though it seems to have captured them on the map. This is not ideal.
no free trial? not buying then. need to test routing on a real ride through the city before parting with cash. gimme 25 miles free (like tomtom does) and then I'll know if it's worth the money. the competition is good, so no reaason to pay for another unless your product is proven. developer response does not resolve the problem. i dont ride routes, i ride to destinations changing route as i feel.
Having had feedback from Anna to my recent review , I installed and tried this application again hoping that I should be able give it a better score. Sadly , after trying out the free version many times , I can not give this application more than 1* ! The reason ? I gave in a destination which is in my town and I know that it is exactly 1.6 kilometres when riding a bike or walking. The application took me round an outer town circuit of 6.8 kilometres !! Not prepared to risk the paid version !
Don't know what changed, but even setting it to metric seems impossible now (and no, there is no 'more > my profile'). Routes that it gave always were a bit half arsed (often weird loops to get to target distance, even tried to send me on a no-bikes-allowed 80kph motorway, lots of closed of roads) but it at least gave you a starting point. Now I have to do maths to even use it for that
I was very happy with this app for 4 months, then I decided to buy offline maps. Now I lost money for nothing. The offline maps download for ages, and I have a very good internet conneciton, please do not blame my connection. When I go to offline maps the app hangs and is very slow and cannot be used. I changed the app and am using another now.
good app but issues to solve : 1° Mountain bikes only! we were on city bikes (thin tires) for a 3 days trip and badly damaged a tire because naviki lead us many times to gravel / forest roads only adapted to moutain bikes (broad tires). naviki should have an option for city vs mountain bikes. 2° Road update issues > twice naviki lead us to private roads.. closed since then.. big detour 3° App screen becoming blank when recalculating/no network. Lost for several seconds. dangerous in traffic
Works very well. Voice directions can be tense and difficult to understand in densly built up areas and many short crossings and bends. Here better look at the screen than listening to navigation voice. Finds fine bike routs!
Naviki is a good application that allows you to create cycling routes and to be guided via GPS. The "round trip" option is great. There are some problems with the "Racing Bike" option which makes us pass in the dirt roads or in the street in one direction... It is also unfortunate that there is no translation into French. Thk's
Update: tried selution mentioned in comment. Didn't work. I also have a filing it interferes with the GPS function in Google maps. Download this app just for the abc contest. After a week and a half it stopped registering my rout
Terrible app, completely drained my battery from 100% to 0% on a 40 min ride. Gps navigation could not keep up with the speed of the cycling and the voice navigation kept breaking up and getting stuck. Will be expecting a refund.
Bit weird the way one has to record to get all the goodies like turn by turn and large screen...requires an Iternet connection to accomplish record too. And I don't know if it's going to the SD card or overloading my RAM.
Very helpfully for short or long routes. but the Update today is bad. there are no Shops Restaurant schools etc more shown on the maps. I like to have the old Version back!
Pretty but routes are not for cyclists. I've used a lot of cycling route apps so wanted to try this. 40 mile route included roads that were gated with no access, paths with steps, farmyards with no access and major A roads carrying huge trucks. Never again.
Very accurate bike specific routes on back roads, side streets, and bike paths. This useful app has worked well getting me from point A to point B from Colorado to Italy. Highly recommended!
It is an easy and useful app for cycling. It has really help me with my trainings. The free version is good. I love the screen while I am riding.
UPDATE: Weird, unusable navigation route search options, sadface. There's in-app purchases, but it took reaching out to the developers to find a way to buy out of ads.
Surprisingly good. I did not expect too much first, but was surprised that it is using cycle routes mainly - much better than Google maps. So I bought the leisure version, and turn by turn navigation. So far, satisfied, keep up the good work. I give 4 stars for the expensive price. To buy all features would cost around £25 or more which is way too expensive. I spent £6.5 fair enough, yet not cheap vs other apps in play store.
