NBC Sports Gold

I use it primarily to watch motorcross and supercross on my phone. It seems to have an impressive collection of events. The videos are high quality. The app is easy to navigate. There are some frustrating quality of life issues; If I pause a video on my phone, I cant unpause it. Hitting play will play the next fraction of a second and then it's paused again. I have to exit and restart the video. The menu for typing in your password to login covers the password box so youre typing blind.

Ok, got it to watch supercross. The issue I have is they do not edit commercial breaks out on replay. So there is five minutes of a screen telling you there on a break when you watching it. Its not live and there is no fast forward button so I feel it could be added easy but is not a feature. In addition if you miss when it starts you can not pause or start it from the beginning in live coverage. I paid for the season so I thought they would put a little more work into the app.

I like the site and its attributes, but when watching live or playback it tends to not stream to the end of the program. Then you have to start the playback from the beginning and fast forward to where you were forced to leave off. Also, recently a closed caption has been added to the play backs and there is no option to turn it off. it blocks a bit of the screen.

I dont understand exactly what people are complaining about unless they are using the app exclusively. The subscription always works for me. i usually either connect a notebook to my tv and use the website or the roku app both via wifi , so if you are only going to use the app with limited bandwidth on your mobile device it may not be for you. I like no commercials and extra coverage you won't see on tv. If I could make one request it would be an xbox app so i didn't have to connect notebook.

Purchased the EPL package and its a poor experience. (1) Its delayed - despite the premium alerts from scores come a full 30-60 seconds before showing on video, ruining the experience. (2) There are still ads - despite the premium there is still a huge banner ad taking up screen space that I should not have to see. (3) The user experience is poor - for example, if i see a game listed in the NBC Sports app listed as gold, it forces me to open a different app to watch. Overall, NOT WORTH IT

I did the free trial and cancelled a few hours after the trial deadline. No phone number to call and customer service through email was awful. No refund or partial money back at all. The app isn't worth it. The popular games are on TV and even if you are interested in a game not on TV you have to pick one game to watch since they all go on at once. The trial was a scam to keep this NBC gold a float.

Buggy on Android, to be generous. For the premium that NBC charges for access they have had garbage apps for years. It crashes at launch half the time, freezes, gets caught in ad loops. I'm astonished they release this app from testing, let alone let it go for years without fixing these problems. I really only use it for the cycling season and every year I'm frustrated. I can't get it to run on my phone (GS9+), I've cancelled my renewal and won't be back

Scam: I paid for a year subscription ($45.99) and I cannot even watch a single NFL game without paying more $$$ by purchasing a cable network, which I was trying to away from doing. I can sign into the app but it does not allow any viewing w/o the support of a network. I'm so tired of the misinformation and $$$ rolling out the pockets just to watch a few sports games. I cannot wait to cancel my subscription. When I initially purchased this app I was able to cast/watch motocross.🤷

The $50 price for a season of EPL isn't too bad, especially if your favorite team isn't on NBCSN on matchday. The gripe that I have with the app is the lack of picture quality of the stream. It's pretty poor. Doesn't seem to be 1080p on roku. Cellphone is maxed out at 420p. And neither seem to be 60fps. I've encountered many instances where the picture becomes extremely distorted for several minutes at a time. Fyi, I have 100Mbps internet speed at home.

I have this app ONLY for the figure skating pass. I constantly have trouble loading events. Sometimes, I can see the events just fine. But, most of the time they won't even show up on the feed. I wanted to watch an event live right now. However, no event will even load. All I get is pro motocross. I have been watching most of the events on YouTube just because according to the app, there is no content to watch. It is extremely frustrating.

Aside the fact that this is strong arm robbery. The app doesn't work properly. And if I'm paying for so I can watch games, I should be able to watch the game anytime I want. If it was on TV, I could record it and watch it from the beginning if I missed 20 mins. This app only has a live stream and replay, so if I miss the start, I either have to wait 2 hours or miss some of the game. NBC needs to stop nickel and diming people and just put the games on regular cable. No way you make more through this failing app than through advertisements

NBC Gold has what I want for my sports viewing. It allows me to stream my favorite sporting events (cycling and soccer) over the internet on my computer or cast from my phone. I don't have to have a TV provider, it is commercial free, and it includes on-line demand replays all the way back to start of the subscription period. I can rarely watch live programming when events are originally broadcast so the replays are especially important. It is refreshing to be liberated from the NFL and NBA!

I select games that I paid for an entire season and all I get is a Black screen. No games. The only thing that works is the Gold Rush channel which shows the featured 10 am game on NBC Sports, but it does cut aways to show you the goals from other games. This is getting very annoying and in all honesty isn't worth the aggravation. The app works fine on streaming devices like Roku or Amazon Fire TV, but the Mobile app is terrible.

I hate this app and subscription. Completely useless. Icenetwork had its issues but this is just horrible. Way too expensive to not get to see anything but Junior and Senior levels. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching them, but really enjoy watching the lower levels. Now I can't! Additionally, the app is so user UNfriendly. Waste of time and money. I'm not paying for anu o th her sport but figure skating so it is a PITA to see all the other sports lumped in. Save your money and watch it on YouTube instead.

I dont have cable, and I work a lot so I thought by paying 50$ i'd be able to watch soccer mobile or at home, and it'd be simple. I was wrong. This app doesn't support chromecast. This app doesnt have every game. The best part is it asks you to log in with your cable account which I dont have and is why i bought this app to begin with. Ive literally used this app twice since I bought it. plus the UI is bulky and unintuitive. Id say this app is literally a money grab offering services that other providers have the good sense to offer for free. I'm truly dissapointed.

terrible app. if sign in fails on the attempts you have to solve one of those pesky image captchas where it's pick the 3 bikes and the refreshes with more until there are none. forgot password sends you an email where the link doesn't work but instead takes you to the live and upcoming page. videos often won't play and just request you sign in again. error bang on media player doesn't do anything when you click on it, so you can't tell what it means. emailed support multiple timeswithoutresponse

Last year I thought about getting this but was put off by negative reviews. Looking back, I think most of them were complaining about not getting the content for free. I personally feel that being able to watch ANY Premier League game I want is way beyond what should be expected of a cable subscription. I have thoroughly enjoyed the app/membership and find the extra content fantastic. Five stars.

Glitches constantly. Most of the time when I'm on the app it wont show me the Premier League games which I paid to see. And the web browser sends me to the app when I'm on the web browser because the app doesnt work. The only way to watch certain games in the US now that they took away Plus and it is a broken mess. And this is year three of this terrible thing and they still cant be bothered to get it right for 50 dollars a year...

This app is great. Use it for Supercross and Motocross. 2019 will be my 3rd year for the motocross but this is the first year for Supercross to be through NBC Sports instead of FS1. We'll see how it works. For the app specifically, i wish there was a 10 second or so fast forward/rewind button kind of like youtube has. That would be my only request for app improvement.

Replays can chug. Lots of lag. Also, currently all the replays are missing. Can't access the Tour de France, nor the Vuelta, not the Tour Down Under. All the content I paid to see I cannot access via the app But it IS available on the website. Not at all helpful when you want to watch the races on the big screen. It's sad that they have a monopoly on cycling in the US because they don't show all the races and the access to what little they do show is not consistent. Very disappointing

i would give this app a 5 if it gad one change. For my phone this app does Not allow the video to be full screen. Besides being annoying and hard to see race times and other information posted it makes the play bar to small to control. The small play bar is to small to skip commentary and the time when commercials are being aired.
