NBC15 Weather Authority

About a week ago, I was getting daily push alerts. I tried shutting them off, but the app would just turn them back on. Ended up shutting off all notifications which kind of defeats the purpose, but I would still get a seemingly random recording from Charlie. Nothing else. Reached out for help. No response. Uninstaller and am trying channel 3, which uses the exact same app.

This app is garbage. Most times its completely unresponsive and requires an entire phone reset, not even just force closing the app. The audio usually nonexistent or so quiet you cant hear it. The location feature never actually "finds" your location but will instead sit frozen until you close the app. I would rate it at 0 stars if possible.. Helen Keller would do better at devoping an app.

App has gotten terrible to use. Both me and my wife's phone it will not open it all try to open it and it crashes and closes out I've tried deleting it and re-adding it and still had issues I even did a factory reset on my phone to see if it had to do with my phone and it still has issues since many reports to the place and they don't respond glad I'm not paying for it it would be a waste of money to spend money on an app you can't use

Over time this app has gotten significantly worse to the point it just freezes and has become unusable. I went to my cellphone provider thinking it was my phone messing up but it isn't, it's the poor quality of this app and what it has become. Its too bad because nbc15 weather was very accurate for my area.

I love hearing the notification. And, I keep my phone on silent and still get it. Extremely accurate as far as when the weather is in my area! Very pleased with the format, accuracy, and the love that is put into this! Thank you!!!!

Honestly the best weather app I've ever used. It is ad supported, but they're never intrusive or do anything to try and get you to accidentally click on them. Though I wish I could pay a small fee to buy the app so I can get rid of the ads.

Terrible app! DOES NOT WORK! I click to look at it or watch a video ot sends and NOTHING. It just spins spins. Super annoying. Too bad. I am a traveling nurse and would love if this was functional to be aware of travel conditions.

I've been using thus app for 5 yrs. As of recently it's not running properly. It won't load for 5-10 min after clicking icon. I've deleted it and then reinstalled the app and still getting the same results.

first of all the alerts are really lound. tried turning the voice off but it didn't work. I don't need Charle Shortino talking to me with alerts when there is no bad weather predicted or around me or within 100 miles!@@ that is why I took it off my phone. if you don't mind a loud guy's voice talking out of phone at all hours of the day then this apps for you not me!!!!!

It produces what appears to be an accurate weather forecast, but I choose not to stare for 3-5 seconds at the screen advertising the TV station each time I open it.

Has been extremely helpful, especially showing recent lightning strikes on the radar display. It has really helped to keep us safe!

Most annoying trait of this app is it does not work between 9pm amd 6 am, home page opens but can't open other tabs. Also never stays in follow me, or other locations, always defaults to home.

Get weather bug. Everytime they have an weather update its a freaking video with commercial. Its a weather app just put out the info in a text form. I don't need to see your weather man babble on and on and on.

What the heck? I downloaded three weather apps for three different Madison news stations and they all are using this same app shell and tons of ads. Even the same ads. And none of them offer a paid option to turn off the ads.

The audio on their videos is extremely quiet. Usually I can barely here it when I turn the volume all the way up, today I could only here faint murmurs.

Your app is not helpful, it's annoying. Pointless to have an app that you cannot navigate because it is çonstantly frozen. I'll be looking for another app to get my weather.

What performance improvements? worked fine for the 1st day, now just displays half a screen and doesn't respond to anything else. alerts seem to work but nothing else.

I maybe don't know how to use it. I thought it would be my local weather and coverage for bad weather like you have on TV when bad storms are in our area.

I never rate apps, but this one deserves a shout out. Gives me one hour of radar history and five hours of forecast. Loads fast and minimal ads, just a banner at the bottom.

I like the app but would love it if the high/low for the day showed on the widget. It's nice to be able to glance quickly.

Ive allways wanted the app but my rca voyager tablet wasnt optimesd for it then when i got a amazon fire tablet the amazon app store didnt have the app so i had to get it from google play store and i enjoy the app just because i always watched nbc 15 news growing up so having the app is great so thanks for great app

Was great for a while then it started freezing on me. I couldn't switch to the hourly or radar couldn't even scroll the page down to read the rest of the stats

I just downloaded it and it gives better info than Accu weather or the weather channel app for my area. Plus I love how it gives % of precip for every hour.

This app is the best for anything for any alert in the Madison area or anywhere like Every location just like mine. And the best location Right in West Madison near Middleton on the other side of the beltline.

Nothing like an app making you watch an ad before it gives you the information about a tornado. It's more ads than information.

The weather is great but this thing woke me up at 3:45 am to let me know that. Needless to say, I uninstalled it. and yes, I only got notifications for severe storms.

This app only works sometimes. I have to constantly uninstall and reinstall just to get the days weather. What a pain.

It crashed when you try to use it. Uninstalled & reinstalled it I will give it another chance to work right.

Radar/satellite especially helpful for the immediate and short term outlook.
