NBKC Mobile Banking

The only problem I have is with the terrible image taking. I have to guess how the final image will end up as I can't focus exactly on a check but must back up a considerable distance & widen out the shot in hopes that a usable image will result. Previous banking apps required a near perfect composition & resulted in an ez 1 time shot unlike this one which requires several per side. Fortunately the bank is very lenient with my pictures & almost always accepts what I think are generally awful pix

I love nbkc but I am NOT a fan of this new mandatory password expiration feature. Every website and app is now taking the ability to control my own security away from me. Do you have any idea how many passwords I have to change constantly? It's exhausting and getting to be out of control. And you can't use the same password ever again. I left U.S. bank for this exact reason. Isn't life already stressful enough? My password my choice!

This place has been the worse banking experience ever. Im always afraid to use my bank card because it declines ever transaction big or small. Transferring money is such a headache. It never shows my actual amount of money in the app or in my linked accounts. Thousands of dollars in the difference. It feels like they hold your money hostage. Happily closing out this account. 1 star is too good but i dont have a real choice here.

I was able to open a checking account and received my debit card and I set up direct deposit at work and I tried to log in on payday to see my check. My account had been closed and I had no idea and then when I called to ask why I was told that they took a second look at it and that was all they said. I am really upset about it and I let them know by writing this review.

Decent app with decent performance. Really needs the ability to use your phone's flash / light when photographing checks for deposit.

Despite uninstalling and reinstalling, the app was not able to process my login information either on the primary landing page or the pop-up window that appears in light of an error, when it begins to process and times out for whatever reason or endlessly loads. UPDATE: Managed to gain access after speaking with a customer service representative. However, the features do lag. There were a number of RDC issues with the mobile deposit feature. Not an overall smooth experience yet.

Love banking at NBKC. Great customer service. They just updated the app and it looks good.

I've received nothing but fast, polite, and very helpful service since opening my account. The customer service is great and this bank has nearly everything you could ask for. The only thing missing is overdraft protection for debit card transactions (they currently only have it for checks). I do wish there was a way to see more of the budgeting tools from the app but other than that, no complaints.

One of the best simply designed banking apps I ever used with a ton of great features.

Layout is nice. Need a secured card for new members.

Hate the phone voice access code. Incredibly unhappy. Someone who does not use this invented this stupid method.

I've never had a problem with the app, or the bank. Granted, my banking needs are pretty basic but the app does everything I need, including the occasional check deposit. My only gripe is with the list of partner ATMs that supposedly accept cash deposits; I've tried 3 different ones and have never been able to deposit cash; I always have to get a money order and then do check deposit.

Needs an authenticator app as an additional 2FA option. Great app.

This apps notifications are outdated. Push notifications for debit card purchases and deposits are vital. This doesn't seem to do that. Have to go in to the app to see charges and deposits. Doesn't alert you about them. Disappointing a bit. Hope it gets revised soon.

Great online Bank that brings the personal touch of a local bank. Interface is simple and welcoming. A human been in the U.S. actually picks up the phone when you call, and they follow on the resolution if the call is after hours. I definitely recommend them. My only issue is that they are not part of the Zell network, but I still give them 5 stars.

Alerts are extremely tedious to set up, no option for push notifications, SMS alerts have almost no detail in them, and you have to input your delivery method on every single alert rather than being able to choose from a list of verified methods. Most importantly, there is no verification performed on delivery methods. Please address this!

The most basic function of a banking app should be to notify you when you get a deposit or there's a transaction and this app DOESN'T DO THAT so I'm getting a new bank. Also the linked account feature is horrible. It doesn't update the balance from the account and doesn't let you update it.

I love the bank and people just getting tired of not being able to log into the app! I can log in online just fine but not on the App consistently. I deposit checks regularly and you can ONLY do it on the App! Please get this fixed or I'll be forced to move on.

Literally can't download this app and this seems to be the only way one can get the debit card for a new account so I'll need to go with another bank. EDIT: account was disabled bc I was too ill to respond to phone calls from bank "offering" assistance with app (they REALLY want these 1-star reviews removed). When I contacted them via chat they refused to return my funds unless I called them. They hung up on me 1st call. They cancelled my account 2nd call. Word limit prevents full details.

Update: Login errors were resolved about a week after I reported them. App works great and I can take care of everything I need to with it. Definitely some responsive developers here-- thank you! Original review: Can't log in. Thought this was supposed to be fixed with the last update.

This app has turned into something great. I mean, it was really, really good before but now it's great. With all the functionality you want and need the app both looks and performs great -- and NBKC is a great bank! Couldn't be happier with my experience!

I was able to reinstall the app, and it seems to be working fine at the moment. The app does not automatically log you out when it is minimized or after the screen is locked. Some people may like that, but it seems less secure to me.

I terribly hard to get money into the bank. I've gone to nearly every atm in town, and none of them accept cash. I am used to things like Zelle for instance to transfer money around, and I can't use that. I was able to get my mom to write me a check which I deposited through the app. But who still writes checks? Kind of outdated as a online banking app.

Bogus I can't deposit a check, it can't take a pic as it hangs while rotating, I have installed the app on two different phones,uninstalled and reinstalled after switching off the phones but nothing.. Total waste.. May probably close the account

Was not initially able to deposit checks - NBKC resolved the issue by updating some information in my online banking profile. App could be improved by indicating that missing profile information was the cause of the issue, rather than just spinning a wheel. Otherwise, app seems to do what one would expect or need from online banking.
