NCP Mobile

So far it has been a good experience. It is hard to remember to scan all of the things you buy. I had to set an alarm for the evening so I wouldn't forget. Pro tip of your buying from Amazon most items won't have barcode that this application can Scan. That's not to say everything doesn't. Most will have an Amazon one especially if it was sold and shipped by Amazon. On items that there selling for a third party they most likely just put there's on top just peal it off and you have the barcode.

The app is easy to use if the amounts are in there. If you have to input the prices it is a long process. It has taken me a long time but ive finally gotten enough points for a $25 reward of some sort...i typically only submit the required 1 trip per week to keep the points coming as it started to take up a lot of time for what seemed to be a small reward. Doing the one trip a week and surveys seems to be worth the time and effort for the rewards available.

I love the NCP Mobile App! I had the home scanner but switched to the app because I kept having lots of problems transmitting the home scanner. I didn't think I would like it as much as the home scanner but I love it so much more than I thought possible!! No problems at all & much, much easier to use....each trip is transmitted instantly even when I have too weak a signal to make a phone call & my rewards are really stacking up. I can scan any trip no matter where I am, no more waiting to home.

Update!! I now been using this app for 4 months or so and honestly, it's a great app that actually pays!! "IF" you take the time to record/scan your shopping trips!! Which I'm personally TERRIBLE at!! I could make more $ than I have, it's just investing the few minute's to record your trip. It's pretty much like self scanning your shopping trips twice. Which is worth it if you have the time.There's also survey opportunities etc. Pretty good app I'd say!! Thank you for the opportunity!! 🙂😁

Fun and Easy. I spent little time adding information for the transactions. I can do this anytime only takes a few seconds. I'm really impressed on how easy it was from creating an account to adding my first shopping item. I recommend it for anyone trying to keep up with technology or just trying to earn cash back for there shopping.

Slightly slower entry compared to the hand scanner as it collects more detailed information about the shopping trip. That aside, it is easier to read the bar code! Would really like to see an "Edit/Correct Receipt Item" feature added for when the wrong line price is input. This would make it at least 4.5 stars!

I have used this app for almost a year. It's super easy to navigate. I've won 2 $10 gift cards and have actually been able to use them!😍 I wish it had an option to scan my receipt instead of individual items. Also if there could be an option to submit purchases from small local shoppets and/or gas stations. You have to use it in a certain amount of time until they expire (like 3months or something like that). Maybe add a featute I could purchase to keep the points for unlimited time🤩🎉

They recently changed the spin to win icon to something other than a little circle with an arrow which made a whole lot of sense because you're spinning something. This makes it harder to identify this icon at a glance. Also, every once in awhile if I have a shopping trip that includes a great number of items the keypad will freeze up and I can't enter prices or choose options or anything. I have to exit the app and re-enter and pick up from where I left off. This is only happened a few times.

I love this app and I'm super satisfied with the points and rewards I receive. The only drawbacks I can think of is needing to input the price at most of the stores. Some (like Walmart) prices are already in system and it makes scanning more convenient and easier to accomplish more often. When will the option for two different payment types be available? I thought it was supposed to come out at beginning of new year?

The new update will make it easier to use with more information. I just wish it were more interactive. I'd like to be able to link a question I might have to a certain shopping trip. Also would like to have the store's name that I selected shown on the screen when I go to scan to make sure I didn't accidentally select another store with my inaccurate fingers.

I had a redeem issue which required the help of customer support. Email support was responsive and I ultimately had to call in to get the issue resolved. It was and very quickly. I'm happy to say I am now able to redeem and have indeed received my gift card. I highly recommend this outstanding app and even better customer service! Thank you NCP!

App works ok for most for scanning most purchases. It is very limited on selection of choices when it cant scan. If it's not food, then just give up. I've ordered a bunch of tools and plumbing supplies, and the closest option was either flowers or gasoline. Because there are no #s on aldi products, nothing scans and there is no way to enter any products beyond produce. Amazon warehouse products have letters in their barcodes, so they never scan & cant be entered because it doesn't allow letters.

I have again uninstalled and reinstalled this app in order for me to be able to submit a scanned purchase correctly and again it does not allow you to choose what form of payment if you choose anything other than cash. I was able to do it just now when I went and bought one of those pens and just started pushing all over and it took it. So yeah that's how it's working.

We've been a NCP Panelist family for a very long time. Each new app or app update is fraught with bugs and glitches that do get worked out. This newest version, the camera scanner times out way to fast to scan a bunch of products. Also it the barcode is huge, it can get scanned up to 3 feet away. I've scanned one item 4 times accidentally. Other than that this is a much better app than when first started off with NCP's actual scanner almost 17 years ago.

App is easy to use, but confusing whether store sale or store coupon, as both come off receipt the same way. That may be a me problem. But if You have the price first on the last page of questions, we should enter the price first. I always do, working down the page, and get irritated when I have to go back and do it at the end. And try to keep your receipts short. Scanning items when you spent $100 takes forever.

This app is amazing! All you receive is points for gift cards for your shopping trips and if you want to answer there long surveys for points or an entry (which you'll never win) with very little points. It takes months and months to become one of the "Elite Members." I've had issues with how they take our shopping trips, which if you make lets say 5 a day, they have this magical wheel thats supposed to give you points, they count it as 1, kinda messed up. Good luck getting past 10%!!!

Beneficial if you shop weekly. It doesgive you points towards gift cards that are easily redeemable. However, it is a time consuming app since you have to scan each individual item or group of items (ie kool-aid packets, yougart) produce and certain Meats are another challenge as the usually don't scan so you have to go deeper into the app to "assign" what the items are.

After my handheld scanner broke they talked me into getting the mobile app. So far it's been all right. It's a little easier than using the handheld scanner since I always have this with me. But there is no longer an option to say no purchases made this week and the only way to do that is emailing them by Friday to make sure that it counts. It looks like an older version of this app had that option but then they took it away. I'm not really sure why but they should really add it back.

I have been a member since July 19th 2021 and everything has been absolutely fantastic. It's easy to scan and enter your information, it's easy to take surveys when they are available, you get regular updates about service times or issues and payouts are easy Plus on time. The only negative thing I have to say is in order to redeem a payout you have to have a phone number registered but the only way to change the phone number is to call them and I wish you could just change it in the app

Fun, and SUPER EASY to earn points for gift cards to several places... Your choice, just look at the diverse options of stores and pick. Also, just simply scan the items on your receipt or your store shopping experiences even from shopping online, and you'll get points every week plus you'll get chances to enter into sweepstakes and even choose to spend some of your points on the items of your choice that you want to be in the drawing for. Super fun and easy

This app is very touchy and has a tendency to skip ahead before it should. There no clear or easy way to go back a step when such a thing happens or you have a finger error. This problem still exists. It has not been fixed. If you touch the wrong store, it's very difficult to correct.

First time trying to use the app I took the time to scan each individual item one of them said it was the wrong barcode even though I scanned the barcode so it could not have been wrong and it was the next to the last thing to scan before I was through and I could not go forward or back every move I Make I am in absolute misery I am in a lot of pain every day so shopping is hard enough but then to use an app and take time and energy (I'm 78) and nothing went through...

Update 3/20/22 still difficult to remember to scan items every timei I've gone to these store for something... Lol good solid working app though, don't have any major issues with scans or uploading information. Points add up really quickly. Surveys are an added bonus on top of scans so that's a cool perk cause you easily gain more points even quicker!

I've been using this app for about 6 months. This is a honest review. So far I'm very happy with this app. I've tried other apps and I have accounts with other apps just like this one. I will say it's one of my top 3 go to for playing games and making a little side cash. Surprisingly the adds on this app are not bad and not as long. Also customer service is awesome. I had a small issue when I started using the app. I sent them an email and with in a hour everything was great!

Has gotten better over time but need some improvements. The last price entered should remain for the next item. This would be very helpful for Dollar store entry. I dislike retyping 1.00 for 30 items in a row. I guess they don't like my suggestion. Over a year later there's still no improvement. I'm dropping my rateing by 1.

Scan purchaes to earn points for gifts. The app works much better than the old tool we used to use. It is also nice that each scan is transmitted immediately. With the tool it would only be once a week and often mine wouldn't transmit. I lost points. This app works much better

It's OK, but you scan the barcodes on the products, not the receipt. Which takes a LONG time. THEN you enter the reciept by hand and make sure everything adds up. I haven't used this app in months. I found a very similar app, also by NCP, and asked if you scanned the reciept or the barcode, but never got a responce.

Not worth the effort! Majority of surveys do not function properly, making it impossible to complete. When attempting to submit scanned purchases frequently received error messages that it couldn't be submitted. Several attempts were made to use points earned, never received any type of acknowledgment as to why they couldn't be redeemed. Received notification from NCP that because I was not an "active panelist" that my account would be closed.

New phone. Upgrade. App keeps shutting down. Never had this issue on my very old out of date device. Even worse now. Works less than 10% of the time. Already uninstalled and reinstalled. Back to the old device on wifi.
