Describe my experience? Well, okay, I tried two different email addresses, and the gmail option (I'm NOT linking my Facebook to some sketchy, third-rate app), and, each time, got an error message saying "unable to register. Please try again." After 7-8 attempts, force-stopping and clearing the app's data twice during the process, I gave up. The only thing nearby about this app is the uninstall button - thankfully. Might I suggest you never bother to get that close to the app, yourself?

I used to be on Nearby in 2013. It was better running then, but even then it has the same bug issue of crashing pic uploads and view. Even the voice message in Inbox doesn't work right now. I haven't been able to upload a profile pic and I downloaded the app yesterday. This issue should have been fixed but the same issue keeps coming back. The ONLY REASON I stay is because the people who also use the app are awesome. But the app's usability and graphic design are absolutely awful!!!

MOST GLITCHY, UNRELIABLE APP I HAVE EVER SEEN! Voice-mails don't work. Video cam doesn't work. One day the pictures stopped working. It didn't safe my profile information. Even the block button didn't work! And you can't imagine how frustrating that was! I had it for a week before I Uninstalled it. O, and I almost forgot to mention that the app is sometimes down for days at a time. I was hoping the issues was being fixed but instead there were even more issues then before!

Why is this app even on Play Store? It's no longer available to login or use to any user. I was a member for several years. The app gradually lost its functionalities and then almost all of its members. It was once a good app, but the developer stopped communicating and caring altogether for members. In what appears to be the end of Nearby, the developer terminated the app without notice, like the flick of a switch, and many people lost good friends. Shameful conduct. One star is too many!

Warning: DO NOT INSTALL I installed this app to hopefully meet some friends in the area, but there's absolutely nobody in the area. So I decide to deactive my account. This function does not work! On top of that, the only messages I have recieved are spam. Also, ads pop up constantly, some of the other functions within the app will not work, and the app itself slows down my phone.

This App is really a different one. Here strangers can chat without exchanging Contact Info. The App often looses control as at times the uploads stop happening etc. At times even the App stops working. We should have had an option to make chat rooms. Some Lille changes can make it a Super App like FB. I always liked the concept of the App. Admin should work on it to make it better.

Downloaded the app and went to register. Tried with the automatic Google button and didn't work. Tried a second time by manually typing in my email wouldn't work. Probably a scam to collect your email...I'm expecting to be spammed now. Thanks

Broken glitchy garbage. Seems like more of a high school students class programming project rather than a finished app to charge for. Delete account button does not work. Unable to delete my uploaded files. A waste of time. Lots of features for filtering, but not many people on and none of the filters work.

it is a pretty slow site, not a lot of individuals. everyone on there is miles and miles away, like different countries (weird its called nearby). and on top of that this app wont let you deactivate. red flag. everyone there is way older than me, it makes things awkward. dont get the app unless you want to be stuck on a boring app.

I love and hate this app at the same time. I love the potential of this app...what it could do for people, the community. I hate that we live at a time where we have this potential and yet no one seems to use it. So the star loss of this app (or failure of 5, depending on your view), is more because of the use of it in the world, as opposed to anything the developers are doing. I have ideas, but I'll articulate it to them whence time aligns. Great app!

Unable to upload pic on profile. Does not work properly and give you an opportunity to correct the problem. It deleted a message to me and unable to recover. The nearby option doesn't work properly on the phone and going blank without any reason whereas the online option reflects people.

Since last 10 days, I have observed that pictures and images are not visible on my android phone. Earlier I used to see DP and pictorial messages also. But I can't see that and even pictures are not visible on Desktop Version. Please address this issue.

After recent update no picture even dp is there. Everything just vanished!! Uninstalled again reinstalled but in vain!!!!! Should not have opted for update. When incoming msg arrives why don't you alert the recipient with a tone or blinking of LED? THANKS A LOT.

This app has so much bugs and complications... This developer must have grabbed the course from the street. I can't block someone, I still see the people and receive messages. I get non stop pop-up from messages which I already have read. This app is freaking terrible bad, I really don't know who made this. But this developer need to get back to school. And I've been using this app for 4 hours. Don't install it. Even the app meetme has better results than this app.

Horrible app. Under settings choose only to allow people within 250 miles to contact you, and it still allows people from 12000 miles to contact you. Try to deactivate your account and it won't allow that to happen either. Just another bogus app where horny guys are looking to post dick pics.

How to delete the multiple messages at one shot, it's really difficult to delete one by one. Dear developer please update you codes and UI. Please update the overall app interface and performance. Otherwise it's ok ok app you can use.

I tried to deactivate my account and it wouldn't let me, it never saved my information and people can easily find you, I wouldn't recommend this app for safety reasons. If you're going to keep this app, add more safety stuff and fix the account bugs.

Useless. I just installed tte app for the first time. Cannot create a new account. Capcha screen flashes for 2 seconds and then an error message. Clearly just a broken, poorly developed app. If the login is broken, what's the rest of the app like?

Ignores your parameters somewhat - when you set it to 5 mil - & when you say pictures requires. A bunch of people start messaging instantly, before you even have a picture, worldwide, even though it's called Nearby. Great thought though!

Pictures won't upload, confusing layout/ poor usability, and even though deactivation is easy to find (I appreciate this!), it won't deactivate when I click the "deactivate" button.

App wasn't very interesting. Can't delete or deactivate the account. No option is available to delete and the deactivate want do anything when you press it. Many bugs as well.

This app is the worst I have ever seen. It still has problems from well over a year ago. Edit on April 29, 2022. I decided to try this app again. Nothing has changed, you still can't progress past the login screen.

Why do I keep receiving messages even though I have deactivated the app. What sort of a app is this, doesn't get deleted as well. This app is showing my profile pic without my prior permission. I thought it was for making decent friends, but I got 32 msgs in a row, all indecent msgs. Worst app.

It seems that the developers have stopped support for this app. No response to the message send. Not able to login since last 6 months. If the developers are not interested to respond kinldy remove the app from the app Store.

After many years of friendships built, nearby ripped it from us without warning. Those friendships are gone forever. Brian stopped caring. He stopped fixing problems. We were all thinking it was another update bug. Wikipedia says the site is shut down. That's it.
