It's a nice app as far as the visuals go, but the app can't handle bigger books, even epubs. It crashes if you try to pan too many pages from the scroller, or if you pan ahead the text shifts off centre towards the right. Please please fix these glitches.
The app is great but it would be better if there should be a separate option of annotations saving so that we could than export it to as txt or in Evernote,Although if our book would be deleted by some reason from phone our annotations would be secure and save. There could be also an option to link annotations to drive ,docs or on our device app etc.It would be a great help overall app is good
I like the clean UI. But no option to import books in bulk is a deal breaker for me. It's a tedious process if you have thousands of books in your library. And also the page turning animation is jenky, it give me headache as the change is too sudden. Bottom control menu is clipped with android navigation gesture button, that's bother me too much.
It is perfect. The only thing that I think would be nicer is if we could import custom fonts.
A bit slow and footnotes are not displayed correctly
I love how simple it is. I'm switching to this epub reader now because I really like how it looks, it's pleasing to the eye. Just some suggestions... 1) improve the dark background color, make it actually the color black and the text white. It would be nice to use it at night. [or just dark mode] 2) Edit the title and book cover. ㅤㅤㅤㅤ I'm looking forward to the improvements of this app
I've enjoyed this app for months, with my only complaint then, that there is no option to highlight and look up a word in a dictionary. However, for the last few weeks, I've been unable to transfer books via wifi. There is the option to add a book via a url, but I can only do so with 1 book at a time but that just takes too long. The wifi transfer was perfect but since it stopped working, and I read thru all the books, I'm going to have to look for another app.
It's a pretty decent app. The only two things I'd like to point out are that when you try to import more than 1 book, it only shows one and then it doesn't let you import the others saying that they're already in the app and that it would be nice to have a progress percentage for read pages.
So far this is the only android epub app I've found that correctly handles large blocks of code when reading technical books, which is the one thing i absolutely needed from an app. App otherwise has a decent number of features, though not as full featured as others. Tends to buffer a bit when rendering books, but that's an acceptable tradeoff for me given its handling of code blocks.
Absolutely love this app. everything i was looking for in one app! I will recommend this to all my cousins. Its so useful. I would be nice to have monthly subscriptions though.
Very nice for all platforms. Excellent 👍. Only missing translation and notes here in Android (using for learning languages).
Beside Play Books (“buggy” for Windows), it is the only cross-platform cloud solution that can be used offline (+ sync) natively. The reader, while not as rich as Moon+ Reader, is good enough for casual use. If the subscription plan scares you, they also offer a “perpetual” license.
I have used many epub readers but by far this is the best 👍
I love how minimal this app is. It's clutter free and easy to navigate. Anyone who wants a simple yet functional reading tool, try this one. I absolutely love it. Their 'search' tool is very good. We can directly see meaning of words without struggling.
Love everything except dark mode, it's not white on black but rather more of a Grey. Also when using dark mode for technical books most of the fallout boxes with code or tips are white on Grey and impossible to read! If they fixed this or better yet let you customize these colors I'd give it 5 stars!
I think this app is perfect for what is offering. Its lightweight with a nice interface and makes it very easy to adjust the character size, line height as well as background feel. I love it !!!
it's good, but I just want for it to have like a percentage to see where I stopped so I can update it on Goodreads, also sometimes I import books in bulk, and it only shows 1, or when I created categories and added books it either showed some or none at all, also why have the cloud symbol on every book it kinda ruins the look
It's a good ebook reader, love the continuous scrolling and the cloud sync, the themes they have are great too (I use the night/dark theme as a default) I do wish that I could organize my books manually or by author. Aside from that great reader!
Expensive. You either have to sub or pay 50 dollars for a lifetime license. Also tries to force you to use there cloud service rather than allowing us to use one of the 4 major competitors. They also only give you a meager 10gig. I have a 100gig collection with lots of comics etc which I why I use Google Drive to store my ebooks and they offer 100 gig for 2 dollars. So why would I ever use your unproven and expensive cloud service over there's? I wouldn't.
Love the UI and the feature. But I can't move to other section if I already add the book. So I must close the app and launch it again to read the book. I will give you 5 star if you can fix this problem in the future update. Overall it's very good! :) Update V.3.6.4 (13 March 2020) It's fixed and I love it! As I promise, I will rate 5 star!
Don't know why it has only 3 stars because I think this app performs two functions which are not found in any app in the store 1. Upload side-loaded books and use it for cross-platform reading - Web, Android, iOS 2. Continuous Scrolling Kindle doesn't support feature # 1, Google Play Books doesn't have feature # 2. Can improve: Add more fonts. Ability to widen the margins on web version. Add dictionary support
Good alternative to the (current version) pocketbook reader app my only complaint is the lack of categories for some people, sizing options for sizing in the reader mode and more options for sorting the books (sort by, last added and size)
Is not clear how to upload books and the reading is not fully customisable and unfortunately the option of "Read aloud" is not there, so the voices that I have purchased in Acapela are not useful here. We would love when your add this feature, at least to the premium user. And other thing, is to see the percentage (%) of the advance of the book, of my reading, not just the pages of de epub, please add that.
Parsing is quite bad, there are some unnecessary gaps between apostrophes and the like. Tried both the windows and the Android for syncing, it works, but rendering is really bad. Need to be improved.
Can't read connected drive on chromebook. only options for finding books is cloud, wifi or sd card - which doesn't find the usb ports. can't scan local drives for books. doesn't specify what it's storing on the international server.
Great app, very clean design and it's a pleasure to read on. Has all the settings that you could ever need. the only thing I would like is if you could edit the names of the books.
I kinda love the feel of this app but there are 2 major problems that make me use other apps. 1. Not having an inbuilt dictionary for word look ups. 2.maybe a Dark mode will be sweet for the entire app as it's just too much white.
Great choice for reading epub files, easy to use. I have tried several epub readers and this is the one I like the most, it can run on my phone and laptop.
This app along with Pocketbook are my fave book apps. Now, here are reasons why I can't only use this app for books. It's perfect for reading. I have no qualms with the actual reading part using this app, it's the organizing of my books I'm having issues with. I want to be able to organize them myself on the shelf, and edit the author/title information and it would even be great if I could add the name of the series so everything organized nice and neat. I know it's such a small detail but yea
