NemID nøgleapp

The NemID code app supplements the existing NemID code card enabling you to use NemID directly on your smartphone and tablet.

The NemID code app supports your access to online banking, borger.dk, sundhed.dk and all other websites where you would use your NemID code card.

The app is, after initiation, accessed with a four-digit code or fingerprint recognition.

For security reasons the NemID code app can not be run on rooted smartphones and tablets.

The Danish banks and the Danish public sector are responsible for the NemID code app.

The NemID code app is developed by e-nettet A/S. Nets A/S supplies the infrastructure.

I wasted a whole bunch of my codes trying to get this to work, but when it got to the part where I set a PIN, I couldn't press any of the numbers. I suspect an incompatibility issue with Samsung. It didn't even show up in my list of apps where I could control what can appear on top, and any time I switched screens (e.g. to go to my web app for help), it logged me out again. This app is unusable as is for my OS.

Starting with today, out of the blue it became completely useless: request would show up (little key icon), I'd open the app and whenever I'd enter my pin I'd get: 'There's no internet connection' error, though there clearly was internet connection. Tried many times throughout the day on both wifi and mobile nw, the same result. In the end I decided to reinstall it - now when I want to set ip up after opening it and pressing the start button, I get: 'An error has occurred. Try again later.'

Was working well, but s base few days when I try to login (probably after I set up the mitid?) is not working anymore. I get the following message (without any expanations what it means or how to do it): "An error has occurred NFC is disabled. Enable NFC in settings and try again."

I guess it works as intended, but just like what everybody else notes I can almost agree on. 1: SafetyNet is way too easy to bypass, there are so many more effective ways of checking for root access (Go to fora on XDA or wherever) 2: The app seems sluggish most 3: To improve the speed/ease of usage, let the user be taken directly to the screen of accept/reject and let the accept be the pin/fingerprint instead of having to swipe. 4: close the app as soon as the accept/reject has been received 5: Implement the usage of other biometrics such as Iris from Samsung and/or FaceID from Apple. 6: Send the request as soon as password has been accepted via NemAdgang instead of having to press "send"

Works fine most of the time, but I wish, it was possible to approve or deny using a regular button or some other feature other than swiping, this is not always working. Also, please remove the Close option, this is unnecessary. Just close the app, that would be a more user-friendly option. Thank you.

App has never worked, and I really don't understand why this app is not capable of receiving a new password, or being part of a confirmation process to set one up, rather than sending it through the post in 3-4 days. Reply to comment. Not the code card, but the new password - by post - I have bank and other systems that can reset a password with fingerprint confirmation, security questions, listed telephone, email. Posting a temporary password is pretty archaic and totally daft

The swipe feature to approve an authentication request is frankly stupid and seems to operate with a mind of its own! When not stuck in a purposeless limbo, (sometimes) it works as the developers intended - swipes and accepts the authentication. At other times it just rebounds and declines an authentication request. Why this cannot have been done with simple click button (when access to the app is authenticated multiple times via a code/biometric signature) is beyond my limited understanding!

I like this app very much, after "upgrading" Google Pixel 2 XL to Androide Q, it sadly tells me that "The device is not supported !", that is a major pain, so back to the card, hope it is fixed very soon ! Above is from April, below mid August ! I upgraded again today, 4 months later. GUESS WHAT i still does not work, what is going on ALL the other nemID apps i use works fine now. this is what happens with monopoly, they do not care, as in why can i even install this app, when it is incompatible

Compared to other authorisation apps it's very clicky, i.e complicated for such a relatively simple thing. And with the latest version(s) biometric login does not work after a while. You have to reinstall the app but that only fixes it for a short time. Cumbersome to say the least...

Does what it needs to, but the servers are often really slow, and the interface and prompts are "lacking" at best, at least it uses simple ways to confirm besides still being implemented absurdly bad in some places, like for online shopping, it's atrociously annoying to use. i'd use another authenticator if I legally could.

Not updated to work for S10. Using the card I keep getting punked on to use this, but my phone isn't even supported, last update is almost a year ago now. Still no update, do you realise that the CURRENT latest android version is 10? 11 is the up and coming... It's great that you have updated for android version released in 2014. But that doesn't really help me.

Update: i understand. it doesn.t always fail, the steps are: 1 I have an active messanger overlay. 2. I open nemid app try to press proceed/agree 3. I get the notification to close the active overlays, i do that. 4 The error is still present. I close the app from settings, i still have the error 5 I restart nemid, still have the error. Feels like the error is stuck in a loopty loop :o 6 after an undocumented time the app works again even if the overlay app is started but not present as overlay

Okay app and easy to use. The app doesn't always come with the notification, so you have to manually open the app to approve. In the end, it would be nice if the "close app" button actually closed the app, instead of just minimizing it, so you have to close it later again.

Doesn't work. Lingers on just the logo when you open it, with no buttons or anything else to do but force stopping the app. One star is misleading, zero stars for zero functionality. Edit: I'm not the one needing to contact support. I wasn't the one who made an app that doesn't work dude.

When I get a pop-up saying it doesn't work with active overlays, i then turn off my overlay, it works, but the pop-up is still there and makes it hard to see what I am doing. Please make the pop go away once the active overlay is off.

Every time I try to set it up, my details are processed and I put in the pin, but every time comes up with an error that too long time has passed, despite during it right away. Not ideal for somebody living abroad, who's running out of pins

Mar. V. Jan 3, 2022

Very laggy app. Can almost never use it because it always says that I have some kind of active overlays. Even though every program is closed on my phone except for this nemid app. Doesn't even allow me to update it

This app does not work for mobile browsers. After accepting the swipe, the connection does not seem to be made to the browser and you have to log in again. Extremely frustrating.

No more hazzle with NemID card. Works just fine, and I can easily make a purchase on my phone, and switch over to this app and approve it. I don't know how come other people are saying otherwise. I've used this app on a Samsung Galaxy S7 and OnePlus 7 pro without any issues.

Ore. D. Mar 17, 2019

Few applications made me so angry and frustrated as this one. It always asks fore a new code and it never gets activated - i.e. it behaves like a scam app. Once it wrote that it does not work 'for security reasons', but that message did not appear again.

Eri. D. Nov 5, 2020

App doesn't work. Contacted support several times and they were very unhelpful. Was told to uninstall and reinstall until it worked which has been quite a waste of my time and my NemID keys. Do not reccomend this at all.

Dan. S. Feb 1, 2021

Another exaple of amateur coding by people working under a publicly mandated monopoly. There are so many autheticator apps and systems out there that are both more reliable, userfriendly, intuitve and safer than this. But ofcourse they had to go and invent their own wheel full of flaws - despicable!

Ole. D. Jan 4, 2021

Still cannot use biometrics for Pixel 4XL (face unlock) but it worked fine with the previous model (fingerprint). Other than that, the app is nice and easy to use.

Mar. D. Sep 21, 2021

The app worked great, until recently. It now refuses run on my device (running LineageOS) for "security reasons" (I assume this is caused by SafetyNet failing). There should at the very least be a "I know what I'm doing"-override, for people who prefer to have control over their devices

Mic. T. Dec 23, 2019

Takes 5 seconds to start on a modern phone. EDIT: Why do you copy-paste an answer that doesn't relate to the issue? If that's how you write code it's certainly not secure, but it obviously explains the poor performance!

xfg. Oct 16, 2019

Device no supported due to security reasons, device is not rooted (was some time ago) instead of just "security reasons" give us some info about the problem so we can fix it if it's on our side Edit The device was completely formatted and therefore not rooted, device is one plus 5 with the latest official OTA update.

Ond. B. Nov 22, 2018

Great app when it works. One annoying thing is that you show a no internet connection as a generic error message even though the issue is on your end.
