NEO.emu Free

This emulation software is unlike any I have seen before, you unzip the file as normal and keep the zipped file afterwards and launch game with the zipped file. It was a first for me but not breaking copy right laws I own Metal slug as a full arcade machine. Still feels better on that but cost wise this is a good stand in.

I've figured out how the emulator works and I also feel how everyone feel very angry about not being able to play games. So first of all get the neo geo bios and uses the name rooms for neo geo. It's very important, not to change the name of file. You'll need to make a folder named Neo Geo roms and touch the section for folders in phone. Nobody wants to teach easy way getting the Neo Geo to work on a android phone. To save space put the roms in a memory card. Hopefully, you will finally have peace of mind.

So far I haven't had problems running any of the ROMs I've tried. My only problem is the controls seem unresponsive at times on my Samsung Galaxy 2, even after trying to adjust them by changing the setting. That aside it's still a pretty good app.

Amazing app! It took me a bit to figure out the steps but now I've got it working on my phone + android box. Added a controller and boom finally got the neo geo I always wanted as a kid. Make sure you get the right bios.zip and file. Put it in the same folder on main drive as the ROMs. Thanks to the developer...this app is freaking amazing!!!

Totally undeserved low mark on the Play Store! This is a great NeoGeo emulator that works (if you know how to get bios and rom files) better than Mame4Droid, since it doesn't heat up my phone and the emulation is without a hitch(meaning you don't have to use frameskip and other tricks to run the games like in Mame4Droid). The downside is it can't play the last few produced NeoGeo games like Metal Slug 5, Samurai Shodown 5, Kof2003 and Svc Chaos, but every other NeoGeo game works like a charm. This is by far the best NG emulator on the Play Store!

Took a while to get started... But now it works fine. I didn't create a separate rom map though.... I downloaded neo geo bios and mame4all and put the neogeo roms in mames rom map. Mame plays almost all roms but for some reason mame 0.37 won't play the neogeo roms but I found out neo emu detects the roms in mame map...strange but it works. Not all of the roms but at least samurai showdown2, last blade2, metals slug2 and a few more.. like having arcade Hall in the palm of my hand.. Super excited 5stars+

This app is awesome, it let me run all of neo geo games on full speed, just like play an arcade in your pocket. 1 star because I hate SNK nowdays

I really love this app and not having to buy a MVS or a neo geo itself. Except do you think you can add a setting so you can select a game while you started up a game( its a thing the MVS can do). If you can add that then that would be great. But apart from that it is cool.

To the people saying "It doesn't see my games" you have to select them for the first time. After that they will be in your game list. To the "where can I get the games" people, it is illegal to provide information on this. Some quick googling will help you out.

Brilliant! Some people here moaning they cannot get it to work etc. Read the instructions CAREFULLY on the developers website! Get the ROM's from within a recent MAME set, and also take your BIOS file from there also and install ROM#s and BIOS in the same folder. Should then work fine! Plays almost all Neo-Neo games perfectly (compatibility list is on the developers website). Some great options - quite an advanced emu. Also supports external controllers (including my Wikipad). Mapping is limited (unless using the Wikipad mapping) within the emulator so you can map only to the analog stick and not D Pad. This is also the case in the Megadrive and PC Engine free emulators from this developer but has been fixed for the PAID versions. So I assume more advanced controller options will be in the PAID version of this app. For a free app this is AMAZING!!! UPDATE: can now be mapped to the D pad with Wikipad.

I am actually very willing to buy the full app the only thing that is stopping me is i cant figure out how to get my joystick to do 8 way movements with your app. If you can explain or send a link i would be very appreciative. I am using the steel series xl

I can't run any KOF game after '99 properly without it missing sound or going to an error screen. Please fix this for later Neo Geo roms.

i love this, my only problom (and now, im not sure if this is with the game, but if it IS with the emulator, PLEASE fix it its annoying the FU*K out of me.) whenever i try to play metal slug 3, if i try to turn around while spamming the shoot button, the game softlcks and i have to restart. its SO ANNOYING!!!!!!if you could find a way to fix this i would greatly appriciate it and give 5 stars best free mobile neo emulator ive used

The app keeps telling me that it cannot find the Roms but I can't find the ROM folder to store them in, if I. I will change the rateing when I get it working

Yes, u have to create a folder...yes u have to put neogeo.zip and roms in that folder , but u do NOT have to even use this app. Go into ur file manager , press on the rom, if u have the latest mame emulator, it will ask if u want to open that app to use for the rom. If u wanna just use mame , that is the simplest way to get non compatible neo geo games to BE compatible. Its like allowing mame to reach potential it doubted itself on initially...wink wink.

Sounds disappear after a few minutes, please look into it, playing KOF 2002. Neodroid doesn't have this bug, but they don't have multiplayer functionality like this app. It would be great if you could fix it.

Runs many excellent games at full speed with controller, I'm using an ipega 9037 pad and this works rather well with this app

The king of fighter 2001 is not working on my xperia zr so plz fix it and I will give 5 🌟

This emulator crashed on Samurai Shodown V Special, but managed to play the original Samurai Shodown, had me confused as to whether I'd put a Capcom CPS ROM in by mistake.

When opening app, nothing works. I see the menu, but the screen is unresponsive

I love this emulator but however in some games which are made in the 2000's it sort of fails including the king of fighters 2002 and the SVC:chaos can i get some help? Or do i wait until they update the app to make those roms compatible

Every time I try to open a compatible game it cannot get through the file checking process. Always says the game is in compatible.

I download neo.emu & kof 2002 but stil not working on my phone. when I open neo.emu geting error like chek rom it is in directory. So plz advice me how to play it.

After downloading 6 compatibles games from the approve list, i gave up, couldn't make it to work, I couldn't open none of the games." Zip room not found".

Best app ever. I love how the filter settings make my screen sharp and clear. This is a must have for NeoGeo fans.

The joystick in the game needs to improve.. And must add an download option where we can easily download the roms.otherwise this app is one of the best app I've ever installed. Thanks for making such a good app

Works well for a few games but not compatible with most of them. Please do something about it.
