Wikipedia: Nepali (नेपाली) or Nepalese is an Indo-Aryan language. It is the official language and de facto lingua franca of Nepal and is also spoken in India, Bhutan and Burma. Nepali has official status in the Indian state of Sikkim and in West Bengal's Darjeeling district.[4] Nepali developed in proximity to a number of Indo-Aryan languages, most notably the Pahari languages and Magahi, and shows Sanskrit influences. However, owing to Nepal's geographical area, it has also been influenced by Tibeto-Burman. Nepali is mainly differentiated from Central Pahari, both in grammar and vocabulary, by Tibeto-Burman idioms owing to close contact with the respective language group. Nepali language shares 40% lexical similarity with Bengali language. British Resident at Kathmandu Brian Houghton Hodgson has observed that it is, in eight-tenths of its vocables, substantially Hindi.[5]
Historically, the language was first called the Khas language (Khas kurā), then Gorkhali or Gurkhali (language of the Gorkha Kingdom) before the term Nepali was coined. Other names include Parbatiya ("mountain language", identified with the Parbatiya people of Nepal) and Dzongkha Lhotshammikha ("Southern Language", spoken by the Lhotshampa people of Bhutan).[6]

Finally got this in my sensation after the ICS Update. मलाई सारै मन पर्यो। ॐ. Still lacking with some features like u see in the word पर्यो"। .♥ must have app for every nepali android users. The other best part if this app is it doesn't require internet permission so no risk of information exchange between phone and dev. जय नेपाल जय नेपाली. धन्यवाद।
I love this app. To use this app you have to have a phone or tablet pc that has built in Nepali language... such as galaxy s3 4 or which has android 4.2 it just not adding language...just adding Nepali dictionary for multilanguage keyboard... This works if you can read Nepali on your device and if you have multilanguage keyboard installed... Hope everything is clear now and enjoy using it... यो नेपाली मैले मेरै ट्याबबाट यो एप प्रयोग गरेर टाइप गरेकोहुँ.
अझै राम्रो हुने समभावना छ। म अंगरेजी भाषामा भन्ने छु : like it takes a lot of time to search for words to a novice like me. So i'd like to suggest you to keep it in alphabetic order which would help in faster word input? Other thing that i would like to add is that when i try to type English words in Nepali i want the liberty to choose which alphabet would reduce to it's smaller format? For example 'सोफटवेर' which doesn't sound quite right. I shall add two more stars when the same update is given to us.
Installed it but couldn't find the nepali font.I see different languages,when I hold Spacebar but I could not find Nepali font ,mine is Nexus 7 and I find that this plugin does not work in Nexus 7. I installed Nepali plugin please tell me if I am missing something. if I find Nepali font in that space bar when I hold it, I will rate it 5 stars

अझैपनि अपडेट गन्े ठाऊ छ।alphabet arrangement Milena.same type lai ekai thau ma rakhnu paryo.jastai ा ,ि,ो eautai category ma rakhe sajilo hunthyo.such letters are mixed with other alphabet.so 4 star.5 after next update.
