NESN

I want to use and like this app but sadly cannot. Aside from all the streaming issues and inability to login easily with my network provider, it's now reverting me to a broken forgot password URL from the native app. NESN, you can do better for all of New England.

I appreciate they FINALLY added Chromecast support, but it's useless because the streaming freezes after 5 seconds consistently. The new app looks slick, but doesn't work. Wish all the B's games were on NBC Sports Boston instead. That app works terrific. NESN IS THE WORST! Haven't been able to watch one Bruins game all year because of this HORRIBLE app. What an incompetent company.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Since the new app came out I haven't been able to watch one single game B's on my phone, even sitting in my living room 20mins outside of Boston. Functionality barely exists: most of the time, pressing on a button or icon does nothing. Worst sports app I've used to date, I'm paying for a service I can't use.

It's always something with this app. Not sure why NESN can't figure it out. If you are watching a game do not exit it. For some reason you can never watch live after the 2nd period of a game. You can tap and tap, but it just refuses to do anything. So sick of missing large portions of games because of this trash app.

One of the most unreliable and unstable apps I've ever had the displeasure of trying to use. Crashes and freezes constantly and that's if it even makes it past the "unknown error" to play anything to begin with.

Although the app has come a long way, it still freezes up and takes forever to load on a Note 20 ultra. I'm not sure what's up, but I just want to watch the Bruins and only use the app occasionally. Maybe it's a server issue? To much traffic?

Worst app ever. Doesn't even have the Red Sox schedule to import to my calendar! It's obvious that NESN is in financial trouble. Cheap boring app.

Please fix this app! It is so unreliable that makes for a miserable experience. There is significant lag and often the content won't even load. Today the app just shuts down if you try and watch anything at all. You have the potential to have a great app, please don't squander it.

Crashes every time I try to watch the bruins game. If it doesn't crash, I get in a stuck in a loop of logging in. Nesn has been in a steady decline of quality ever since they got rid of Don Orsillo and this app has kept up the trend.

Edit 4: Useless. Barely works now. Edit 3: App updated and it's still useless for Chromecast. At least it plays in the app now, but it won't play connected. Edit 2: 3 weeks later. Chromecast connects but STILL can't get the game to actually play. Please fix. It's great that I can watch the Bruins games on the go. It's great they finally are Chromecast compatible. However, the Chromecast feature is very unreliable half the time. Can't connect, or when it does connect, it doesn't play.

LOL, it's so sad I have to laugh. With so much competition for sports, it sad that fans from the greatest sports town America can't even watch a hockey game because the NESN app has to be, without a doubt, the worst TV viewing app ever created.

I use to love this app it made it so I could watch the Bruins play almost anywhere I was came in very hand when I was in college. However just recently the app is worthless I try to play anything on it and it crashes over an over again.

POS, crashed in the middle of a game and since then all I get is a message that says unknown error occurred. Come on NESN, get your act together and fix this app.

They ruined what was once my favorite app. It used to work smooth every time, anywhere and casting was simple. Now they force you to log in with google or facebook, even when you're going to sign in with your TV provider (which doesn't work with Xfinity 95% of the time), which then doesn't work most of the time. When the video finally plays, it stops after a few seconds. So disappointed in the decisions being made.

Awful streaming experience. Constant buffering, sometimes won't play at all. Honestly embarrassing performance for 2021, especially since YouTube TV isn't available as a streaming option anymore. I would only recommend using this app because there are few streaming alternatives. Edit: I've noticed that my issues seem limited to when I'm using the Chromecast option to watch on a tv. There are far fewer playback issues when watching on my phone screen, but it's almost unwatchable via chromecast.

The app constantly freezes, lags and gets pixelated, or won't let me watch the content that I click on. I've contacted NESN on social media, and although they've read my messages, I've yet to get a response. You have a nice new logo, maybe it's time to do the same with your app? *Bonus - As of now you need a Roku or Apple TV to use the app. So if you've got a "regular ol' smart tv", you're SOL.

This was one of my favorite apps before the new designers overhauled it & made it incredibly frustrating to use. Unlike the YES app, which the same developers also made, NESN chose not to have an Android TV app, so even though I have smart TVs, I either need a cable box or Roku player to watch NESN. Whether its fighting with cable companies/YouTube TV or replacing a great app with something unusable, leave it to NESN to disappoint their fans. Stop making it so difficult for us to watch our teams. I can't wait for MLB to end the home blackouts.

The app s**ks. NESN does not have enough bandwidth to load and sign in. What good is the app, if during peak times such as baseball playoffs and Sunday football, there are too many users to get connected. The only time I've been successful with the app is at non-peak times, like early mornings. Come on NESN. Get with the program.

I would give it a zero. All the money NESN has and there is always an error message. after selecting fios as cable provider. Have a Samsung phone. Verizon network and never works. NESN needs to hire qualified and educated technicians to update and maintain this app if you want to complete with real companies like ESPN to have a quality app to be able to watch Red Sox and Bruins. along with all of NESN's programs. Without consistent failure. Would not recommend this to anyone. So Sad

If you're living in New Hampshire, I have news for you. You don't actually live in New England. At least that's what this app thinks. Have you logged out and back in with the same credentials and location data as the last time you sat on your couch in good ol' Not Old Hampshire? Sweet, you still can't watch the Red Sox blow a lead or watch the Bruins continue to be an extremely average team. SWEEEEEET CAROLIIIIIINE BUM BUM BUM. This app is no good, NO GOOD!

Very bad streaming if it even works Edit: 9 months later. Still very hit or miss. Usually can't even get it to play during a Bruins game.

Literal trash lately crashes mid stream then won't let you watch even after uninstalling and reinstall still says oh sorry an unexpected error has occurred fix your app its almost playoff time ffs

Just a terrible all around experience. I don't know who decided to change the original app but they should be fired. Update: App is still hot garbage

This app used to work good. All of a sudden I can only get nesn plus no matter which channel I press

This is the slowest-loading app I've ever seen: 5 minutes to start, if it starts at all. It frequently stops for no apparent reason as well. When it's functioning properly the video is crisp and the content is fine. The performance needs to be much better if the app is to be useful.

Always buffer blur and now suddenly keeps crashing. I completely wiped my tablet and still the only app crashing. So frustrating.

Doesn't remotely function anymore after update. Hit stream it pulls up location settings then freezes. Every time.

This app is terrible, It consistently crashes whenever I try and watch a game. I'd be better off listening to the radio

Used to be great app but ever since the new login was asked for, the app hasnt worked. Tried uninstalling and even deleting the cache but still wont play AT ALL. Using andriod PLZ fix.

Just total garbage, went from working, but having to log in all the time to now just shutting off trying to watch the game... highlights only? Go pound sand
