Communication between my phone & computer can be fussy at times requiring me to reconnect my computer Wi-Fi a few times before it finally sticks & stays connected. Setting up the proxy settings on my computer wasn't overly complicated. I greatly appreciate the newer versions allowing users to personalize their password now too.
Great app! I'm on a grandfathered unlimited plan and my normal tether is limited to unusable speeds and this works way better. It even works with wifi sharing. Exactly what I needed to sync up my S7 to my s21. 2 quick notes for others. Proxy option works ok but it works best when you use the app on both devices and it connects with VPN (key logo in notification bar). Make sure to set the app to unrestricted battery mode and check both mobile data options to avoid disconnects.
I've been using the app for a few months now and it works great. The only thing I notice it doesn't do is share the phone's data with a Roku player, I also notice that I can't use it to connect to my job's intranet from outside the network or connect to my VPN I'm guessing because of the proxy server settings. Team, is there any way to make it do any of these things? Overall I like it & I do recommend
Works really well. My use case is using a computer in a car while my phone is on a dashboard connected to WiFi in a nearby building. Unlike NetShare+, this app uses a fixed network name and password, so I don't have to reconfigure my settings apart from enabling proxy.
Very easy to setup. I followed the instructions for windows pc by tapping the question mark. It took 5 minutes. Once you change the port setting disconnect then reconnect to get it working! This app is the only thing that works for me!
Allowed me to use internet on my PC from my phone connected to public WiFi lol a tad slow but I won't judge the app for that, I am using the free version anyway. 4 stars because nothing is perfect and can always be improved, but it is a solid app.
Before downloading I watched the video thoroughly to get step by step instructions on the proxy and port settings. If you have problems starting the app and it doesn't work!, "you" didn't follow directions keyword ...(you). Props to the developer of this fine app my unlimited plan is due tomorrow I have already used 113 GB and have four phones running off of that plan today no problem!! And that's cuz of this apps capabilities once again great job developing the app
I bought the pro version and it worked once for me and then the 2 devices wouldn't connect I tried Uninstaller and reinstalling which was useless. I tried contacting the developers but their website was gone or the wrong url posted. Needless to say I am not happy with the app
Woohoo an amazing 🤩 app so useful. My AT&T provider want to charge me for a hotspot, instead I have purchased to license and I'm well connected. I recommend this platform for your hotspot need and take the upgrade to support the developers who have developed this platform. I'm a user who have find a solution to is problem.
I live in the sticks. I need my hotspot. Capped my data. Know my phone has the same data stream its just the phone companies being greedy. Obligated to circumnavigate because its not right. This app got it done and easily. Not just a good app but good karma for helping people bypass unjust data policies. Thank you team. Will be going pro.
It forces me to select wifi to work. What's the point? I want my laptop to tether off my phone's data, NOT wifi connection that my phone can connect to. This is just a redundant intermediary. I might as well have my laptop connect to the wifi directly without the need of my phone and this useless app. I does not tether off of phone carrier data ...only wifi. Pointless. I'm glad I didn't purchase the full version, since it doesn't tether data.
This looked promising as it connected two Android phones successfully, but I found it doesn't seem to want to connect my Android phone (Samsung S20 UW) to a Tivo Stream 4K device. I've entered the proxy (192.168.49.1) and port (8282) settings several times with no luck. I see a "Connected - No Internet" status message. The developer has a Facebook page that is filled with testimonials for some random investment advisors and little new from the developer about the app. Broken links and unanswered questions & comments on this Google Play page for the Netshare App suggest that the developer has "no real interest" in doing much more than collecting $10 bills from users. Well, finally got it to work, I'm still a novice at some of these things. Seems to work nicely thus far .... UPDATE - Well I got a new phone and NetShare no longer works for me. What happens is, when I try to connect NetShare, the phone gives me the option to turn on wifi. If I do, NetShare won't connect. If I don't, NetShare also won't connect. Anyone have any remedies ?
Will not work alone has to piggy back off of PD net. Don't like how hard it is and how lousy it functions now since the phone has went to Android 12 4.0 app is still only running in Android 11 keeps cutting on and off this is a hassle when you're trying to download. You lose your download and have to start all over.
Extremely helpful when I needed to transfer information from my old phone while living off grid. Kept me from having to switch the sim back and forth for three hours. Thank you for making this and saving me tons of stress and energy. Also instructions were very clear, this could be set up by a banana.
Very good app. But connectivity ends as soon as the primary device screen turns off and it reconnects when the screen is on in primary device. Any solution for this..
An outstanding app for sharing your mobile data with other devices, or using your device's WiFi connection to configure a repeater. This app is streamlined, has an intuitive UI, and does exactly what the dev states it does. If you give this app a bad review, it is simply because you don't know what you're doing. Don't blame the dev for your lack of knowledge. Five stars...
Works perfectly, as long as you set up the VPN on your remote machine. On MacOS this is in Network Settings > Advanced and you need to set up a proxy for http and HTTPS traffic at least. I haven't reached the usage limit of free version yet though
Paid the $9.99 upgrade fee. Nice work around for disabled hotspot on T-Mobile. Works great on Galaxy Fold 3 running Android 12!! Make sure to set Netshare notifications on silent. Will beep all the time if you don't. THANKS to the developer for fast reply on this.
Paid for software that doesn't work consistently and tries to get you to buy twice. Uses peer to peer networking with vpn tunnels. Excellent idea, horrible execution. When it works, it works great, when it doesnt, there's no troubleshooting or tips, it just won't work. I tries uninstalling and reinstalling just to find out they wanted for me to pay for it again.
Works 100%. I had a little trouble figuring out exactly how to get it to work. And I'm sure other people will too. But I can't type my exact solution here so my only advice is to seriously keep trying. I almost gave up and wouldn't have my free hotspot if I did. Also, I hate that it stops working whenever my phone screen is off. I try to have my phone screen on as long as possible but sometimes it just catches me off guard, you know? Please find a way to fix this, for five stars.
Very easy to use but far from simple. I use this app as much as i use my phone. . A premium version is available (which i need to pay homage too) I use the 100% free version and i cant imagine how much better the paid will be.. They absolutely upgraded my network game with this one.. Im definetely gonna show support and spend some money on the paid app . A must have tool for me! Download it and see for urself!
This app worked perfectly for several months, but now it keeps disconnecting on the other ends of my devices. It will say no internet connection even though my data is high speed and my service is strong.
Perfect app for streaming videos, play games, YouTube, just name it. I watch everything at 1080p | 4k. Best app ever without root privileges. Great when I am on the go don't miss NBA | NFL | MBL I get to watch it all no buffering sweet. 🤛🏽👌
Tricked me. I bought an app and they are charging a usage fee now . Might as well enable my carrier it's not a lot of data they allow. Cancelling and looking for another.
I can see the SSID on the smart TV but it won't connect. The app forces me to connect to my Wi-Fi in order to transmit my signal but transmits with a different SSID . I put in the password but it won't connect. Does not Wi-Fi tether with my 4G LTE signal. I'm not sure if this is a true tethering. Or just uses your Wi-Fi signal to Wi-Fi tether
This app is amazing! It's perfect and exactly what I needed when all the other apps failed. Once I manually configured the steps, I had absolutely not issues accessing the network. Be prepared to customize it to your liking, some apps will have minor kinks and issues to workout, however this app is still top notch and I'm so happy to have found it. I have been able share my network with my secondary phone and laptop. Thank God for the creator of this app, it's simple and quick to startup!
