Net Tools (AdS)
This release contains ads to help the developpement of the tool kit. If you clic on an ad it will disable ads for the current session.If you want a version version without ads please take a look at the paid version.
With the menu button you can :

* Trace route (special implementation because MTR and classic is not possible on non rooted phone)
* TCP Port Tester (with fast port selection)
* TCP Port scanner(with fast port selection) The scan is cancelable with back button Configurable timeout
* UDP Flood
* WHOIS request (with the possibility to choose the whois server), Recursive 5 deep max
* WOL, Wake on LAN
In the future it will support :
* TCP test Server (maybe Netcat like)
* Network properties
* Port live view scan
* Network scan
* More configurable things for existing tool

This app comes in handy when you want confirm local ip addresses for the net

Some of the tools are nice, but the trave route tool doesn't give you any information about any of the hops, not even the IP. It will count them, but I'm not even sure it does that right when on a cellular connection.

Only 3 stars due to lack of custom settings for color or readability and for lack of some more basic info on the screens, like netbios names on the network sweep. But nice app.
I have the same version on my laptop.. still trying to figure out how to use. Other than that five stars.
I was looking for a tool to help verify that Ethernet over USB worked when wifi was enabled. This worked perfectly. Very, very cool.
I use net tools 5 on my computer. Is this the same? Were is the instruction Manuel? I know how to use net tools 5 on my computer. But DO NOT know how on android.
Great tools, but ping did not work on me using hox... Need update

Ping sweep... Couldnt you have made the good and nil responses just a little more different than KO & OK. ? Maybe you dont use your own program?

Great app. Needs some work on the UI, but still.
It's a great app for testing a network and it's pcs. It would be nice if the port scan was defaulted with more ports (5900 for VNC). I would also like it a lot better if there was a ping sweep option.
This is a good tool but Portscan TCP is flaky. Sometimes open ports are detected and other times not. Netstat is inaccurate but that appears to be a problem either with my ROM (Liberty 1.5) or BusyBox as I get the same output from a terminal session. Overall, best I've found so far. Thanks for the app!
After trying out all of the availabe network tools apps,this one is clearly the best. The developer is very responsive too. I had one issue regarding a form field on my Transformer tablet. I emailed him and it was fixed the next day!!! Well worth donating for the ad-free version.
Odd -- I've been using this for years (geez, my review of it was in 2011), and suddenly its traceroute isn't working as of last night. Another net tool is working fine). I'd hate to lose it... The name really sums it up -- a SAK of net-related tools. For anybody who does any network admin, it's a must-have.
