Netatmo Thermostat

Nice app with good functionality and features. Easy to use and good, sensible design. Allows a quick switch from work schedule to home office. One thing missing is an option to clone the whole timetable to a new one and just change what's necessary (copying from one day to othes inside the same timetable is possible). Instead you have to set it up from scratch. Also I'd prefer an option to set the temperature by typing instead of pressing -/+ in half degree steps. From 18 to 25 takes some time;)

I've been suing Netatmo Thermostat for over 3 years. Best one out there if you want zero hustle and reliable. Worth the money. However, the app is too complicated especially the heating schedules. A pain to configure, hence the 4*. Maybe on the next version the developers will do focus panels.

Has performed brilliantly, especially returning home to a house heated for our return but not before. Also a genuine DIY fit. We'll impressed.

Good app however on the main screen the buttons for "frost guard" and "away" are directly over the place where a right handed person could use their thumb to swipe "home" on a android phone (using Galaxy S10). I have repeatedly mistakenly selected these buttons only to realise some time later that my heating hasn't come on.

The comunication between the valves, the relay and the app is extremely laggy/slow. Often, the valve cannot reach the relay. Too often calibration failed. Batteries come empty or close to empty out of the box. Et caetera...

Been using this for over a year, and found it good. But recently, when you make an override change on the phone for that day, and set the time it will last until, it completely ignores it and does what it wants. Also, it hasn't evolved like others - just does exactly the same thing as it ever did. I've a feeling they will stop developing it and we'll end up with an old app and device (whereas a thermostat should last ten years plus)

Exactly what I wanted. The thermostat looks great and works perfect together with 2 additional valves. The Android app is intuitive and easy to setup. It is very convenient to define heating schedules. Also I like the heating graphs and the monthly summary that I receive. All in all it is a great system that seems to fulfill all the requirements that defined it. Great product!

It's a competent app, but it's a complex system and the user journey is initially frustrating. What is not apparent with the app, is that *by default*, without asking you, it configures the thermostat to govern the temperature in the entire home based on it's individual temperature regardless of whether the temperature in the rooms is below their scheduled target points. If the thermostat is "warm enough" it will ignore any requests from rooms that are not at their temperature point. To achieve individual room heating, within the app you need to change operating mode to "Priority: Comfort" instead of "Priority: ECO". This is one example of many in which the user documentation is incomplete and annoyingly fragmented across the app, user guide, and website. It sorely needs a user journey QA session involving a *real world* user, not an in-house developer or tester who already knows the system. Persevere with it and you can achieve the smart multi-zone system you are hoping for.

Very good thermostat. It is reliable, never crashes or freeze. The app is very good and easy to use. The thermostat's connectivity may be lost when the base and the thermostat are placed in the farthest opposite corners of a 107 square meters house and/or the thermostat is near an electronic equipment, but after changing the position in the same room, as advised in the manual, everything's fine. To sum it up, I'm a Happy netatmo thermostat user.

App is useful., but with Irritating "news" = random ads. Just got anotherad, early enough to wake me up in the morning. But when the batteries on the thermostat went down, it didn't send a notification, just an email - after they failed, no 'batteries low' warning. P.S. just noticed 'news' is a separate button, disabled, let's see how we get on.

Very happy with this system, which adds smart central heating features to our old-fashioned radiator system (Danfoss), which is run from communal a heating source. Easy to install and set up. The system is very effective at regulating heat. The app is well-designed and I love the graphing system for seeing how the heat regulation is working. Great app for an already great product. I only rate 4 stars out of five because the graphs could be improved. Also, I would like to have a monthly view with the whole month data as a single value (right now, you have only week values, not the whole month). I know that there is the monthly energy savings report, but real time graph / month would bemore helpful. Another problem is the inability to control individual valve's operating modes...

The app would benefit from better automation, like automatically going to away mode when leaving house. It's not possible to set temperature in landscape mode, it keeps showing graph instead while in landscape which is a major inconvenience for me. There are in app advertisements for company's products. Otherwise the app is well designed and quite reliable.

An easy to use app at it's most basic, but a little bit more difficult to set up schedules. Always connected, never had a problem so far - also works well with our amazon dot. Best of all, I can remotely see when my wife has turned the heating up, so I can then turn it back down without her knowing. 😁

The app is very easy to use and I installed the thermostat myself very easily in around 40 mins including pairing. I have had a Tado thermostat that was much more expensive than this and it failed just after the warranty ran out. This Netatmo thermostat does the same job for a much better price. The application is very user friendly. Great product and great app to control it.

Turned out to be the ideal solution for us, since the house doesn't have the proper wiring installation for the thermostat to deal with the relay and boiler. Also, integration with Alexa was a pretty straightforward. Did get some instability with the relay wifi connection at first, later solved by addressing the wifi coverage in the spot. Excellent solution, will consider the radiator plugs in the future!

I like the multiple shedule possibility but it sad that the temperature set are define in each schedule. So if I want to change my comfort temperature in one room I have to go trough each schedule. The communication is sometime not stable with the valve. As improvement: I would like to be able to activate a temperature set (comfort, night...)in one clic or with voice like a temporary manuel boost but for full house.

Installed at 13 match 2022 and at 28 march the batteries used, from the original package, were flat. Is it supposed to be this way? Switching batteries every 3 weeks is not what I expected. The overall funktion is ok, graphs could be more informative and easy to read. They are very jumpy when zooming in and out. Nice design. Looking forward to see how this product preforms long term.

I spend more time trying to reconnect with the WiFi than the thing actually works, Absolutely dreadful!

Edit: After "factory reset" and complete re-install of the product, it's working fine again: accurate and stable temperature inside the room. One thing I still don't like is the true temp setting. If you add an offset to match another termometer, once its applied you cannot see anymore the offset you applied in case you want to remove it some days later.

After doing an app update it only works reliably on wifi (ie on LAN). When using phone data remotely, the first connection (after turning off wifi) works (ie alters relay), but on subsequent attempts it often says that it cannot connect to the relay... The fault is intermittant but & happens more often than not and sometimes impossible to reconnect until conntcting on LAN at.least once. Present since applying Nov update and does not relate to phone signal, etc. Came back to a cold house.

Still one star... Thermostat starts overheating since a while now, passing the set temperature without turning off. Which is very dangerous seen I have one in the newborn baby room. Moreover it neglects the set program and randomly changes the temp, so the whole system starts heating and the above issue arises. It still is missing a geofence, interface isnt very intuitive. In short, you can see this comes from France... Design over functions

Has been fantastic for saving energy when we're away, but making sure house is warm when we get back. And its all variable from wherever we are.

simple and easy... but lacks some expert settings, like type of heating- floor, ceiling heating , heat loss of the house, type of house like passive , low energy , normal... because my netatmo switch on even when is sunny outside and then it overheats...
