In the "about us," it would help if you explained what the app is and maybe how it works. I understand what it is supposed to do, however, I'm struggling with setting it up. Having an example/tutorial that shows what to do and what other apps you may need need to lead to it functioning completely. I am a bit technologically impaired, as others may be as well. You cannot copy the GitHub link that's there and when I found it, it was the desk top version of an Android ran program with links that are of course to big probably not necessary when you have the app, but still no way to understand it's functionability. I really love what you have here I can't seem to find any other app similar to the way you intend yours to be, all in one straight forward networking tool. I really want to make it work
It's very good works perfectly. Apart from UI and problem with protobuf everything is alright. Here is my 2cents: - Add a search ablity to search across the captured packet ( both capturing and historical ones) - Add a way to block common analytics domain or group them in one. User should be able to long press on row and add the domain to list that needs to be grouped...
This is by far the best app I have seen in a while. For a developer like me it makes debugging many apps easier. And also to see what the apps I've installed are sending and receiving more easily for privacy concerned people like me. One suggestion I would give you is to add amoled black theme to save power as well as being easier on the eyes. Also keep on improving this app by adding realtime filtering by content by regex.
Great App, makes analyzing http traffic for app's simple and easy. By far the best I've encountered on the app store. This might be out of scope but an awesome feature would be able to capture packet for review / modification before it is sent or received. Something similar to burp suite.
Great App for inspecting SSL traffic. I would love an option easier sharing of recorded traffic (e.g. sharing as txt or zip file). Also it doesn't seem to check if SSL certificate is actually installed after certificate has been removed. This results in only http traffic being captured
According to the license agreement, the captured data can be collected by them, I wonder what for? That data is sensitive. Collecting telemetry is one thing, but this is on a whole new level!
The app indeed does work fine, but is there a way for it to work in root-only mode? I mean, I want to run another VPN app and run SSL Capture on top of it to inspect the packets, but this is (currently) not possible. I can run tcpdump as superuser and inspect EVERYTHING (including traffic from any VPN app), but I can't decrypt SSL traffic.
Works OK but no way to export captured packet. Also stores captured packet inefficiently in separate folder and files for every request. Good for small captures.
It's a useful app. I'd like to see more improvements on UI and data saving. The gripped data should have an option to be decompressed.
This is best packet capture on play store it does not interfere with connection and privately captures all data passing through would like it to see them add captures to unsecure non ssl data also then it be my first download everytime !!!
Seems to do ok on http/1.0 & http/1.1 parsing but doesn't parse http/2.0 which is a bit limiting. UI is very limited, compared to something like Wireshark, for looking at IP, TCP, etc packet headers. In other words, if you want a http proxy for legacy servers π
Got a scary message about installing SSL certificate, and the phone didn't let me install it. If there is a way to allow this without that certificate, that would be better to allow the users to test this without extra installs. It asked to install from Settings, I downloaded one from Digicert, but the install option on the app is giving that message, the install will not proceed from the app.
Currently fine with the way it is now, app is super fine and it captured everything i needed! One thing i hate is i cant upload screenshot to the server! it says invalid. guess i'll stay with ads
Have to agree with some comments here. dangerous that theyll collect your data. the app does its job but i also noticed after i installed this that i have been getting 1 or 2 spams every day.
It only capture data from web browsers. Cannot capture from instagram and other apps nd these app cannot start. Android Nougat. Rooted. When i used burp suite i faced this same problem. Why this happening? How can i solve?
the app does exactly what it says, but has too many ads. the amount of ads is unrealistic and is annoying
Good, but I'm not satisfied because the captured data is only formatted (text / hex), please add more, because there are some http requests that can't be read in text / hex format
It would be awesome if the app allowed you to format html body text and such. That would make it much more readable.
After clicking "Request" it says "failed to request permission. Making it completely useless for me. Running Android 9.
I was very impressed by this app. I was troubleshooting an issue for weeks and this app helped me determine the cause of the issue within minutes. Love it!
Thus app what iam looking for many other apps. Inportant things is this apps can capture body not only header, many apps only capture header.
Hello. Now with Android 11 the Root Certificate can't be installed,so the app is not working. Any info much appreciated.
it works perfectly on Galaxy Note 4 (Android 6.0.1) But on Galaxy grand prime pro (android 7.1.1) it does not decrypt anything. and all captures are shown encrypted
Can't open, crashes every time. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it still won't work.
It works like a charm, many thanks. I got url that I need from app that some apps cannot capture.
Thanks for your help
Did work even after installing the ca manually, made my phone very slow!!
Very nice. Just one little suggestion. Maybe the text "SSL" can be replaced with "TLS" :)
Perfect.. Suggest, add port no. automaticaly when i copy a source Donβt know !!γγ why i need to type port manually after copy .. Really Love You PKG Cpt
Worked like a charm. I found the IP server and ports a particular game I play uses. With that I was able to allow access through our firewall at work so I can play there. Thank you!
