NETGEAR WiFi Analytics

I remember when this app first came out and it was the best of its kind, but since there have been no updates it has been left in time. This app needs some critical interface updates and a graphics change because it doesn't look modern in the slightest. Yes, the features are still useful, however the visual experience is sub par. NETGEAR have most certainly swept this app under a rug, which is extremely poor customer service. Please update this app and update it's user interface.

App said it wasn't compatible with my version of Android. And I have the latest version so Netgear needs to get on the ball. Second, the app was slow and clunky. Lastly it didn't even work properly. It ended up being a useless app for me. It never shows my signal strength as changing nor does the signal or channel graphs function at all.

Awful app. Very cluttered and confusing design. Many functions seem to just hang and do nothing with no indication that anything is working or scanning. The WiFi channel scan ONLY shows the WiFi AP that you're connected to, despite other networks in range.

I downloaded the app because I just purchased a new Wi-Fi booster and the instructions say that I need this app. When I tried to open the app, it says that it doesn't work with this version of the operating system on my Android phone. It says that it needs an older version of the operating system on my phone There is no update to the Netgear Wi-Fi analytic software so that it will work. That means that all the money I just spent on this Wi-Fi booster was wasted. I am very unhappy right now.

Used to detect an intermittent wifi router problem using an old phone. Upgraded to Android 12 phone. It just spins. Tried installing the newer app, but that wasn't so useful.

Netgear has trouble with any connection. Constantly. However they are in the business of connecting. Acceptable. They make decent products and if you own one this app can be convenient, but it's not a necessity. It works well for me but have witnessed others have problems with same app.

Nice that Netgear provides a free app. I wish it worked. I joined my network, no matter where I went inside or out, ithe app gave the same reading, -39db. The wifi indicator on my phone was more accurate. I just ran speed tests in browser to see how range affected speed.

This was once an excellent app, but lack of maintenance thorough multiple updates of Android OS has led to multiple app crashes and diminished functionality. Depending on which screen is open, I have between 15 seconds and 2 minutes of use before crashing. Android 9 on a Oneplus 6T.

has not been updated since 2014. netgear products and their apps are absolutely garbage. Go on any of their help forums and you'll see that people are not being helped, and just what kind of hell awaits you if you purchase anything netgear. My netgear wifi V3 extender is constantly dropping it's connection to any devices, not the router, just the devices. it's doesn't matter what router or network nor configuration nor hard resetting, it will constantly drop the connestion every few seconds.

No instructions on how to use. I wanted an app that measured the signal on my network and kept a record so I can prove to the ISP the signal drops just long enough to cause problems with working from home. If it is capable is anyone's guess. I have 3 stars because it seems to do something.

It's a good app for finding which channel is fast and which is slow and it helps to check which channel you are in and shows the speed according to distance of router and the device. So I love it. I am really sorry for all those who had bad experiences using this app. For your info I'm using Huawei Y5 lite 2017.. Hopefully it might help..

Program worked as described. Definately helped to make adjustments to expedite speed. Whereas I was at 77% & after I made recomended changes now entire housei on a channel that gives me 100% wifi anywhere in the house. So COOL !!!

Advising the best channel is very helpful, but it would be more helpful if you were to provide the means to change to that channel, is this doable! otherwise a good app, clear and concise.

I found this app very helpful. I'd definitely recommend it if you want to know where you signal needs help. My only problem is the text size of the app is tiny so I struggled to read it properly but that's fairly minor.

Even though the app indicates that it won't work on anything newer than Android 4.0 just be patient. Close the offending message and watch the screen. Worked for me and I was able to get the information I needed. Really, it worked very well.

Doesn't work. Does nothing. Scanning for wifi networks just spins on "loading" and nothing ever happens. Nothing on any other tabs does anything. I'm running android updated to may 2020 and ALL my hardware is Netgear (cable modem, wifi router, extender)

I'm just another annoyed customer. Just about every web page advertising new Netgear stuff says to get this app. But my Samsung S8 says it's out of date. Try it anyway, the app can't find my Netgear Nighthawk M2. Very useless, and really rude of the Netgear people.

The app has not been updated to work with newer Android versions so I'm not able to do anything with the app, yet the Netgear Wifi Extender tells me I need to download this app in order to manage the extender.

Typical Netgear junk. I tried it and it couldnt find any networks even though I was logged on to one. Netgear designs stuff then walks away with no support. My Nighthawk told me to try this app. Total waste of time. Glad I am switching to Surfboard routers

Very Good in helping me know some of the problems that comes up from time to time .also knowing the channels around me in my neighbourhood and the state of my whole Wifi system .siginal speed and strenght .yes for VERY GOOD

it may not look like much but the ability to save rooms and last scan data lets you get a very good understanding of coverage without having to make lots of notes.

The app is old and it won't work on new phone systems. Like A22 5G it keeps saying it is only for older phones only. It's a great app but i can use it. It's a really great to use.

I got a warning when I downloaded this app saying it's old and might not work properly with the later version of android. It keeps forgetting readings taken for each room and the edited room names. This app needs updating as it shows the last update to be 2014
