With a Netool.io handheld network analyzer you can detect ethernet protocols and analyze them.

The Fluke Linkrunner AT2000 that I use, tends to picks up other stacks and switch port info in the same closet. Very frustrating! The Netool, does a lot better job!
DO NOT BUY THIS TOOL never worked properly with me not easy to comunicate with your devices useless i bought it since 8 months a go i was able to use is 3 times hardly took me about 30 minutes just to connect to my phone and now its not even work
Great app that requires the use of the network.io device. Together, they provide valuable network information and tools.
Flakey will not connect to netool device without lots of tries. Not really that good an app

small, compact. The amount of information given back is nice. Only complaint is how long it takes. Connection to the device take a while to review the information on the port. Beats Linksprinter in ease of forwarding information. Build quality of the device could be way better. My power button on the hardware looks like its been through hell and back before I even opened the box. Charging supply looks like paint was thrown on the leads. Hoping for a new firmware update that irons out quick connection to the Netool. Also hoping for a newer model with POE...
A device I want to like, but it does almost nothing in terms of identifying protocols traversing or devices on your network, analyzing anything is out of the question too. It doesn't even have Nmap or similar functionality (does it show bootp server IP-No, does it show DHCP server IP- No, does it show ANY ports-No) All the screens of data you get are only the ones presented in Google Play, so look at those to see if there's anything you're needing. I've had the device since mid DEC 2016 and I've found it useful zero times. My tablet connects to Ethernet and does everything I need quickly and efficiently, including Nmap functions and capturing packets. The only help this device could possibly give me is a Vlan ID on the fly. Also updating firmware was NOT easy and most of the time I don't get a green connection light no matter whose network Im on or how I press the power button. Honestly, it too little information costing too much and giving too much trouble.

Android app does not reliably detect the tool but after working with their support on a recent hardware issue, I found them to be very responsive and they treated me better than I deserved. This will get there. A real stand-up company. Thank you.
