Netvue - Home Security Done Smart

Unfortunately, many moments captured thanks to "motion detection" are actually NOT saved on video in the cloud. There is a "hole" in the timeline, and the video just jumps over it, missing several minutes. This destroys the whole usefulness of this device since these holes happen mostly around motion detected moments.

Right now 4/13/22 can't open app. Worked fine earlier. I get white home screen, nothing else. I'm getting notifications but when I click on them to try to see something it won't open. I'm paid up for a year on the 1 camera I have set up in my cat shelter. I rescue cats & this worked perfectly for the 1st week. But I've had to reinstall every other day & keep reconnecting & resetting! This is getting me mad. This app is garbage when I need it to open it doesn't 5/24/22.

Mobile app keeps is taking longer to generate my listings when I edit a listing. Then it takes me to the beginning of my listings after editing. This is frustrating when you have more items to edit. Also would be nice if it offered discounted shipping for buyer and sellers. And being able to promote more than 10 items a day and offering Smart pricing down to $5 floor minimum.

This app was working great until this horrible update. The camera freezes. I cannot check on my Furry babies. The panning does not work. When I touch to move the camera it freezes and no real time video is provided. Fix it or give us our money back.

4 days of continuous issues rendering the camera practically unusable .Re-installed the app & all works pretty well and then when I tried to format card it refused to mount. Now unusable again. Continously wrong error messages throughout to add to the confusion during set up Edit. It has actually got several more errors.No play back at times. Fast response from customer service but issue not resolved.They later contacted me to ask me to leave a positive review in exchange for free onl storage.

Undo whatever was done to push notifications and playback. App used to be awesome at notifying when motion was detected 75 to 100 feet away. Now it does good to notify you if it detects anything 2 feet away from it with the sensitivity turned all the way up. Playback used the load in a few seconds. Now it takes so long that if you needed to see what was outside, you better open it up the day before so it'll be loaded in time

Very disappointed with this app. I don't like that the app deletes the pictures at midnight. I go to sleep at 11 pm so I don't see any pictures that it captures from 11 to midnight. We had an incident last night at 11:46 pm but the pictures are gone so we couldn’t see if the camera caught the person.

The app is ok, it seems to function most of the time. Although I haven't had to update it yet which seems to be when the app breaks (judging by other reviews) so we'll have to see. I do have some gripes though. Trying to view footage stored on the SD card just doesn't work as it loads infinitely. Also the app will continue to use the microphone even after you switch to other apps. You will have to force close the app to prevent this. I want to believe this is just a bug but who knows.

This was a good app that worked well. Since the last update a stupid advertising banner has appeared above the camera selection panels and the app crashes seconds after selecting a camera. This happens on both my Samsung phone and tablet. This needs to be fixed as I now have two cameras that might as well be scrap!! How could you get it so wrong?! Update. Ad Banner now removed and app no longer crashes on my devices. Back to being a good and useful app. Thanks!

Jan 5, 2022 version 5.21.5 broke the app. Now when you click on a camera, or anywhere really, the app freezes up. I've closed and reopened many times and same thing. This was working as normal yesterday, then the app updated and now it doesn't work. It's completely useless. I've emailed them, but don't expect a reply based on prior experience. FIX THE APP.

Truly dreadful app, DON'T BUY A NETVUE CAMERA!! Hardware seems good but app is very unstable, constantly crashes and closes. Setup was painful and difficult with constant app crashes, I discovered it was related to 5Ghz wifi in the end bit instead of useful feedback the app just crashes and closes. A camera is only going to be as good as software that accesses it, it can be the very best hardware in the world but if the software doesn't allow you to use it then all the hard work is wasted.

Initially positive, then not. I checked the reviews for this product many other similar products. I ordered 4 mini orb cameras, carefully choose where to set them, downloaded the app to my tablet and phone and had my broadband split to allow 2.4ghz. Rather disappointed as there was zero connection and tried for 3hrs. I even moved the router to the same room as the cameras and it made no difference. No one was available on the phone or online for support. Returned the cameras. Disappointed.

Will not let me use smart AI to set to human only recognition without a subscription but this was not a requirement noted on Amazon. Now the motion sensor goes off all night due to car lights reflection passing by the windows. Please fix

Updated Review: After uninstalling and reinstalling several times, the app now magically works. It is still as unresponsive as it was prior to its most recent update, but this camera is all I have until I order something better. So, I'm stuck with it for now. 60% of the time I open the app, it's in a constant state of loading, so I have to clear it out and reopen it. Even then, it still doesn't work. Just..Fix it. Please.

AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT TO KEEP BUYING SD CARDS As usual the update breaks the device. No longer able to access the sd card in either camera. Making the cameras useless. I don't believe 6 decent SanDisk cards have failed at the same time on the same day and are now rendered unreadable in a PC after 1 year.. Attempted to contact customer services using Live Chat and no reply. DIRE 6 destroyed SanDisk cards every time you update. It can't be anything other than the update causing it

February update: video only loads on wifi now. Progress of a sort but not super helpful if I'm away from home... which is sort of the point. The Jan 5 update flat out broke the app. Everything freezes or crashes. Want to get some help or report it to them? Can't because their "contact" feature crashes the app too.

Running this app on Lenovo's P11 tablet managing two netvue miniOrbs. The app is easy to use and remote management and rotation of the orb works good. The app even has live customer support.. Motion detection could be more sensitive but overall a good product.

1-14-22 All of a sudden the app will not open after the last update, it just crashes. I can't access any of my 5 devices, how do I fix it? With the latest update, everything started working again, thanks. It was working fine until the last update, now the app says no internet connection. All other apps have no issues and I have a good internet connection. Please fix, I now have 4 useless cameras.

App is poor. Although aesthetically reasonably good, though why the name needs to be on each picture and potentially hide pictorial information - goodness knows. Limited control over cameras, when an update / firmware is released; this can render your camera(s) totally useless. Though after 3 years, it seems like the cameras start to fail regularly. App also freezes frequently. Foolishly bought a new camera. This does not acknowledge its own QR code😡

It took awhile, but today (2/28)'s update finally fixed push notifs! Functioning properly on Android 12 (S20+). I continue to subtract 2 stars for: lacking the ability to customize the order my 5 cams appear in, and for the ads I keep getting above my cam list no matter how many times I click "see less often."

Great app and divice is superior to the competition. I'm sad because my divice was and is broken badly for some reason I really wish I still had it because I really need one like this. I recommend it to anyone who needs security of anything.

I bough 4 cameras from netvue. When the app manages to find the camera (which it often does not) it locks up when it tries to bind the camera to the account. The resetting and other fixes recommended do not work. I had also bought cameras from Amazon and they are up and running on their app with no problem so I know that it is a problem with this app.

App crashes when I try to select either one of my 2 cameras. What's the point of having them when they're not even working. Seems like a complete waste of money. I have a much older Wansview camera that works much better that these do with no issues.
