Does no one know how to find, display, browse, and open existing network shares and files as easily as free VideoLAN? This does nothing.
Great, but sometimes it doesn't find devices on the network
Could not find shared folders at all.
share network folder downloading like computer not sure about share content of Android to others
Sorry but it not working with smb 2.0
can't connect
Will not connect
Where to put credentials?
Bookmarking network folders doesn't work. Unreasonable to enter from scratch again for connecting to the network folder. Lack of going to parent folder button in network connection. Lack of media thumbnails. Can't directly play videos but need to download the whole big video file by other app to play. Unthoughtful app design anyway.
On my S6 this would have gotten 5 stars. However, it can't write to the SD card on my S8 so I have to copy stuff to the internal storage and then move it to the SD card with another app. Apart from that very good.
this app used to work but now it can't find my server. will not take direct ip address either, server firewall disabled, no difference in subnet, no router isolation. still giving 2 stars because it let's me move device files
Super it's working....
The only samba client on playstore, that works over internet (not just lan). You have to just put in wan_ip:port.
I used to work well. After update it quit working. Too bad , good app gone bad.
Used to work really well. Now it won't load any network shares. Completely broken.
This app is great. Works good with VLC for videos. My server is 14.04 with samba from the repo. I would buy an ad free version.
Staggeringly slow and unreliable, IF it finds the share (which also takes forever) works out quicker to shut phone down, remove the battery, take out the memory card, boot the pc, copy the file, Shut down the pc replace memory card battery and reboot phone was still ALOT quicker than copying an 11MB file, shame cos it could have been useful.
This would be a lot nicer to use if the font size wasn't so unnecessarily huge which obscures the filenames.
Impossible chose folder from phone and simple upload to server...
You can't actually connect to a network with the free version, waste of time!!!!
Its very good for using sharing
This is the first app that i tried that open file server
No option to show admin shares or manually navigate
didn't manage to reach net paces
Basic version is now annoying. Each time you open to view a file, it auto plays an loud annoying ad at full volume. it will unmute device. This doesn't just happen on startup. NO! it's each file you want to view over the SMB/Windows Network. I don't know why they started to do that, but it's very annoying and I won't pay to stop it, I'll just uninstall it and not recomend it. it was one thin to prevent MP3 and JPGs viewing and download, it's another to push a loud full screen video! I'm sure someone's bound to come along and do something similar without the annoying adds. It's just accessing a smb client, native to Linux users.
Previous versions had ability to display directory of images as thumbnails. Gone from current version. Much less useful without it.
The app stupidly assumes small IP address space, so it fails just like most of the other dumb SMB implementations on phones. Worthless app.
Worked well on my Galaxy S3, but doesn't work at all on my S6
Rate 5 stars cz its awsm
Amazing! The only app, that can process soft links on cifs server filesystem and allow to copy more than one file at once!!
