Can't find the smart zapper from 5cm away. Can't pair. Useless.
Can't pair with my devices..Bad quality
Required for the One For All Smart Zapper remote. Also requires UEI Quickset Services SDK. Doesn't work at all. Won't connect to the Smart Zapper, making both useless.
It works fine for my IR Blaster most of the time. But I only use it to turn on my surround sound system that is in a cupboard. Google Home integration would be nice.
Unable to find some makes in index despite them appearing in the on line compatibility checker. Running android 6 yet no remote appears, just remains on setup screen.
App consistently loses connectivity with IR unit. Unit not the problem its 100% the app
App used to work, now just stalls on loading screen. Tried reinstalling, no dice.
TV is not listed (Avera) but audio receiver is. Also does not connect well.
I just got my Nevo hardware and it connected ok, controls tv ok, but nothing but sadness when trying to control my Roku 3. I really wish IR blasters would just stay in phones, got spoiled with my Note 4, now looking for to solutions for the upcoming Note 7. Probably have to keep on looking. UPDATE: Note 7 will not connect with Nevo hardware. Returning Hardware unless it connects.
Whilst this worked initially, it was flaky at best. After some updates to Android, the software will no longer connect from my Nexus 5 at all and a reinstall does not help. The phone app works from the tablet (Hudl 2) but the tablet app does not. No ongoing updates and a poor app make the device comparatively useless.
I tested two of these devices out of the box and the blue tooth did not work on the samsung or iphone. Disappointing waste of time. Poor quailty hardware and judging from the comments the software is not much better. I would avoid this cheap product as it is nothing but trouble.
Pretty neat device. It connects over bluetooth, which means every time you disconnect, you have to manually pair it again, pressing the pair button on the device. I'd rather have one that connects over WiFi so I don't have to pair it every time I want to use it. Kinda defeats the purpose of a remote control.
I wasted my money of the Rca NEVO product. I will be attempting a return as it is a fancy paper weight. No wonder Best Buy had them on clearance. App won't connect to the remote. So the device is useless
Horrible product and support page is a 404 error page. I could not get it to connect to any phones or tablets.
This is a waste of money you shouldn't have to keep reconnecting you phone to this portal that 9/10 have troubles connecting in the first place its way to cumbersome I would rather spend $10 on a cheap universal remote why? because it is simply more CONVENIENT
Doesn't work. Never syncs. Has never worked. Not once. Complete waste of time and if you bought the ir bridge for 45$ say good bye to that money cause it's now a paper weight.
...... Which are now useless. The app was never great TBH. But with a few tweaks, it was usable. But please note that the app DOES NOT WORK AT ALL WITH MARSHMALLOW. App last updated in 2014. Not acceptable at all. Come on, get your finger out and get it working FFS!
Connected to my S6 Edge but says I need to get a bridge for the S7 Edge, please make this work with my device and I can give a better rating.
Support is useless, tell you to do the same every time when the software is just a pile of crap, I'm now on android marshmallow and don't even connect to it anymore, it's going in the bin, no updates should be ashamed, used to like one for all products, certainly won't be buying from them again, stay clear
I've have an S6 and that isn't even compatible... It won't find it over Bluetooth. Worked with my tablet but that's not what I bought it to use with.
Bought a OFA Smart Zapper which requires the NEVO app for it to function and the app wont even launch. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no joy. Can I set this up any other way or was it a total waste of time and money?
Now working on my Galaxy S7 after updating UEI quickset services, great bit of kit!
Tried 4 android devices. None could connect with nevo portal. Failure!
The only thing that I fined annoying is with Android phones it's habits using the back button on the phone instead of the back button on the app which end up cancelling out the app completely and you have to re open the app each time you us the back on the phone instead of the app
Totally useless no updates totally abandoned by manufacturer
Device is not found on nexus 6 but works with nexus 5? Really poor internal Bluetooth device. The hardware is obsolete already
Fantastic app for a maximum of control for all my entertainment system. Would be even better if there was a backup and transfer function to avoid setting up same devices on multiple phones/ipads. Previously, there was a TV guide included which seems dropped. Hopefully, this is coming back again. Overall, a great value for money with fantastic features.
