The New Living Translation was founded on the most recent scholarship in the theory of translation, with the goal of communicating the meaning of the ancient Bible texts as accurately as possible to the modern reader.
It seeks to preserve the freshness and readability of the original paraphrase while providing the accuracy and reliability of a translation prepared by a team of 90 biblical scholars.
Quality of Translation:
The translators took on the challenge of producing a text that would have the same impact in the life of today's readers as the original text had for the original readers. The method employed to reach this goal in the New Living Translation, was to translate entire thoughts (instead of just words) into natural, everyday English. Therefore the NLT is a thought for thought, rather than word for word (literal) translation. As a result, it is easy to read and understand, while correctly conveying the original meaning of text.

Audio stopped working completely. Emailed developer about 5 times and never received any response.
Easy to use and interesting voices. Would love for my Sunday school class to have this. Makes reading through the bible easy.
This is a very good bible app but they need to add some foot notes

I have been looking for a LONG TIME to find a Bible that I could understand easily. This. IS. IT. It's very easy to understand and the narrator has a nice voice. It makes it hard to put the book down. Very excited that I can finally read the Bible and understand it! Thank you!
Starts up reading aloud at random times, like 4:44 a.m., then again 20 minutes later, etc. Uninstalled.
I love this app. Being able to choose a background that resembles an actual books is awesome!

Easy to understand. It is a translation unlike the original Living Bible. The app will read the text for you. I think it is well written and I have not had a single problem with the software.
