If upgrading from the previous app, you might have to uninstall instead for this app to work correctly. At least, that was my experience. Also, I'm not sure why they only give you the option to login with Facebook and not your showclix account like previously. It seems a step backwards especially since people had to register with that account for certain panels and then not immediately have that access since you cannot sign in to your NYCC account as of this review. However, still kinda useful.
This app has gotten A LOT better in the past few years. Whereas before it was unusable and pretty useless, now, it's actually pretty good. Bur, there are still guests and exhibitors missing from the app. Regardless, I will definitely be using this on the day of (doesn't have too much use outside of the actual days of NYCC, though).
Can favorite artist alley, exhibitors and panels, but you cant organize them in any way. They just fill into 1 giant list. My list is long and I'm only there one day, for someone there the whole weekend it'll be ridiculous. List is a pull out from the right about half with of screen, but cant fill screen fir easy reading. Worst though are the maps. The resolution is so poor I cant read the booth number unless Im so zoomed in I can only see 4 booths, so basically you cant use it to find your way.
No option to save booth favorites, bad quality maps that are blurry unless you zoom in so close you can only see 5% of the map. Certain parts I click on have errors leading to wrong pages. Also it's less than a week from the con and still seems incomplete. Old app was astronomically better.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache/data, and logged out and in in every conceivable way and the app still refuses to do anything more than just sync my favorites. No nycc XP info or lottery info updating, just a screen saying to log in. Clearly something is wrong with the app...
I truly wish this had more information. Comic con is usually a mess for people the first time around. If this had more information about panels, and how to register for certain events, we could all virtually line up that way it won't be such a mess 😂 showed up 2 hours early to panel couldn't get inside. What use would a 15 min notification do me?! If you scan everyones ticket there should be a live count of how many people and how early you should be getting there.
The app is garbage. Just go to the website and use that. It won't install. If you can install it, it crashes your phone or freezes it.
Can't add exhibitors, guests, or artist alley to your favorites. Seems like the app gets worse each year.
Pointless app. Can't really do anything except view people and the lists aren't comprehensive.
Most features aren't functional, keeps telling you to log in as your are logged in. Update: now works with newest update.
Horrible app. Not updated and missing information on lotteries and nycc xp, even after they tell us to redownload it.
Even with the update you can't do anything. Tells you to log in when you're already logged in. Can't look up any necessary information.
I like the format of the app, but there's so many comic guest that are listed on the website that are not listed in the app.
Lotteries not working, xp not working and never received my lottery email for panel my buddy won for us. Horrible year, horrible app.
Worked great years past. But now the app isn't updating?? Still showing information from 2 years ago? Any fix for this
Once again the app disappoints. The website has much more information. No artist alley? Useless app.
Lottery wins don't show, massive downgrade from previous app when it comes to ease of building your schedule for the week
I can not see everything on this app, my android device does not show everything my iPad shows and that's frustrating
Connection issues, lottery doesn't work, hard to read the timelines, and freezes
Buggy and unreliable. Keeps asking me to log in when I have already multiple times.
It was cool and doesn't in 2019 but Comic-Con is 2 weeks away they haven't updated it
App crashes as soon as i open it after this update Uninstalled then reinstalled so now it opens
Can't do anything as it tells you to log in to your showclix when you are already logged in to showclix...
Why has there been no update for 2021 despite the convention being three weeks away?
doesn't update guest schedules and lottery section NEVER worked.

Why make things better when you can make them worse? Last year's version was A LOT better. You can't save much. Only autographs and photo ops. No option to save vendors or Artists. The app is sort of pointless. It's a glorified map. Oh yeah the maps suck. Edit: So you can save Exhibitors and Artists now. Thank you. Still need some work on the map.
