Updated the app page appears but when click on a storey it just freezes. Uninstalled app and reinstalled but just the same. Going to uninstall again and give up on app till they put it right. Waste of time. I give up app constantly crashes tablet and goes back to tablet home page, tried reinstalling a number of times just the same. Must have been designed by a two year old. No other apps have a problem on my tablet so it must be a fault in the app somewhere.

Just lately I've been tapping on the notifications I've been receiving, new stories, but when the app opens its just buffering and the article doesn't open. I'm hoping that this problem will be resolved soon. It's frustrating.

Was a good app till recently, since an update it is so slow to update the stories on opening. Over a minute on 2 android devices. Reinstalled and still the same.

Jesus. What the hell have you done with the latest update? Freezes for ages and when it decides to move, can't open the comments. Surely its not possible to be that incompetent

** UPDATE** When are you going to fix this app? This app has always been terrible. Upwards of 90% of the time try to open a notification and it just hangs, a white screen. Open the app itself and even then, some articles don't open. A white screen again. Not as bad as via notifications, but still bad. There was a major update last week, foolishly i hoped it would fix the problem. How wrong was I. You really need to ditch this whole app and start again. I'm fed up with the damn white screen!

Some of the news is weeks old, plus the reader's comments often don't load.

After update went even slower than it was, might get yesterday's news today....

Since the update this week I have a problem reading the comments. It will state 12 comments for example and when I click on the article after reading it the comments at the bottom say 0 . Back to main page and states 12 again happened many times. Was fine before update .

App keeps going off when you click on a news item. Only started happening since upgrade though.

I've given this app one star as it is impossible to give it zero. Since the update in February it has been impossible to post comments. It has been fine up to that update, as far as the comments are concerned it is a shambles now with the number of comments jumping around. Feedback falls on deaf ears as subsequent updates have failed to resolve the issues. Deleted the app now .

This app has been playing up for day very slow and sometimes crashing, I would wait until chronicle gets it sorted out, adding to this tried again crashed again, when is this going to be fixed, it has now been going on for weeks. I would advise anyone to wait until it is fixed.

I like the app, easy to use with options to chose what you want to see. However, I don't need a notification for every single new story posted. It would be better to only send notifications for breaking news or something very important. I get more notifications from this app than any other app on my phone...

The app overall is excellent with lots of different features available about the news but unfortunately everyday for the past week l have encountered problem's with the apps live blogs, for example, I was looking at the latest NUFC news live blog and when it comes on it says unable to refresh and connect every time. Please can you fix this

Preferred it when Newcastle United & Sunderland were separate sections. I also think that the so-called Sports Writers (with one exception) would benefit from a course in Journalism, which includes English grammar and spelling and attention to accuracy. Their 'cut & paste' articles frequently border on the ludicrous.

Excellent app! Lots of notifications though, which is both very good but also slightly annoying at times. But, I've never been better informed about everything that's going on in our region, the app looks great and it's easy to use!

Hard to find the headlines, some content is on there for weeks.

Like the nostalgia feature Covered Sutton dwellings but when I went back to it I couldn't find it.??

Get plent of notification,s but have to find updates as old news comes up first. Latest updates takes awhile as you go through Katy Collins page scroll down to find out what the updates are then you get 3/4 bits of the the update of the price you select . Still better than Google news though it's full of advertisement very little content

Used to be a good app giving good quality local news. Now just lazy journalism regurgitating old news and rarely checks the factual accuracy of what it prints. Far too obsessed with reporting on TV shows and personalities. Part of the Mirror Group and is developing into an inferior version of the Mirror. Needs to get back to decent reporting and serving the local community in a much more professional way. Has gone from a decent on line paper to what locals now refer to as the Evening Comical

MUST add area for notification. That way we will not receive 30 to 50 per day, outrageous! I understand you need to make money, but too many notifications you lose users! ... Not enough you also added a 'hang on'? ... thing when shutting it down. Got it?

Disappointing, I keep being dropped out of the app in the middle of reading an article. This can happen every 5-10 minutes or so.

It's what you need and it's to hand, I would recommend this app to all who may be interested in North East topics. There are many ongoing blogs giving important info about weather, road problems and TOON problems😁😁. Keep it up.

Repetitive news articles poorly written and apparently every week we going to have terrible weather conditions, which never happens. A frankly below average rag.
