News 12

App keeps crashing. & You can't go full screen on the phone. Also keep getting ny notifications even though I selected nj. Who cares about NJ? It used to be great when it was just NJ news. Another problem is you have to have optimum to use it and watch it where it should be free to everyone to watch the news.

There's been a recent a big oops. I've been loving the app but recently when I click the notifications the story will appear but the writing will be upsidedown and backwards. When I exit the app and reload I then can't find the story that was in the alert.

I love the way this app was before they changed it. It's alright now except when I tap on the story I want to hear and see It's telling something completely different could be a glitch 🤔

News 12 App is Great allows me to stay update with my local news and global news on the Go or anytime of day I do enjoy the app. I like that i can be kept up to date with weather as well.

A good app, simple, direct, the links lead you straight to the articles. Even the streaming is to be commended.

Terrible when I downloaded it doesn't open. It said pick a borough. I did it won't open to page all of a sudden 🤔

I hadn't watched live feed for over a year because it hadn't been displaying properly for a long time and through several updates. I just noticed that that issue has been fixed, but now my screen times out and the video stops after several seconds. The only way to keep it playing is to tap the screen constantly. At least one other comment references this issue. Please fix. Thanks.

When this app works its great to check local weather and traffic. It provides the best information. However, you are forced to watch a 30 second ad, if the content you want doesn't stream and you click the play button, you are forced to watch another 30 second ad. For sone reason, there are times when You can't even get weather & traffic because there is a varsity program on. Please move that off your traffic and weather reports, it doesn't belong on a traffic and weather report channel.

This is good for information when you need it such as on 9/1 with the crazy weather we had... BUT there is no way to control what kind of notifications you get. If you have notifications enabled you get push notifications for EVERYTHING. So, if you just want notifications about the weather and it's impacts during a major storm, turn on notifications. Otherwise keep it off or you'll be bombarded.

I like having local news available on my phone, but the app itself needs work, and the advertising is just ridiculous. If you want to watch a live stream, you have to watch an ad first, on top of all the ads already in the live broadcast. Then to top it off, the full screen option doesnt actually make the stream full screen, the picture is cut off, to make room for yet another advertisement.

For some reason it looks like News 12 stopped traffic reports. I haven't seen them anywhere on TV or on the app. Those used to be invaluable because where I live, surrounded by bigger cities, all the traffic reports are about those cities and not about where us locals need to go. This is great to have all the hyper-local weather and information. Believe it or not this information is very hard to find anywhere else.

Same stories are repeated too many times in different categories. Some old stories are kept way too long. And the audio sound can't be muted. There should be no Newsday stories if you have no Newsday account.

The News 12 app is informative. With up to the minute news stories. News 12 repeats sorties so you're always informed. My only issue with the app is itmwould be great if they made it easier to respond to questionnaires and stories. And when they ask for the public to send in stories how about creating a separate link. Other than that, I love it.

Only shows X amount of news stories. No 'Load More' button like the website has.

This app never lets you see anything when you press the go "LIVE" tab, and it just takes you back to were you have to sign in ever single time you login! OVER, and OVER, and OVER.... Plus, it will not let you see anything in landscape mode on a table, just show in portrait mode!!!!... Please fix. Thanks.

New update no longer has a live feature. Now have to scroll left and right to read an article because the article does not fit in the screen now. I have installed, Uninstalled, and cleared all data and still can't get the article to display correctly. Scrolling left and right trying to read sentences of an article is just a pain.

It's ok. But I can no longer use it. The Ad's play with full volume and no way to mute or pause it. Half the things I click on want me to log into my service provider. There r much better news apps out there that don't have these problems. Good bye news 12.

After recent update, app closes upon tapping any story. Also, app NEVER will link/recognize my fios account and unable to access live stream.

first of all i pay for cable i should not be watching advertisements on this app. secondly the advertisements take up most of the screen so i cant see the videos when they play. this is a very poor example of an app or a very good example of what not to do. the older app ran much better. the video would fill the entire screen. this is a joke we pay extra to have news12 and we also have to watch commercials on top of it.

Please support landscape mode in all sections of the app and not just when playing videos. I have a tablet in a desktop stand, so it's always in the landscape position. But when I open your app, all the news listing are sideways, so I can't read them :(

Had this app for years without an issue. A week or so ago it just stopped, constantly! I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times with no success, problem remained.. i reported it many times. I also went direct to ch 12 and advised them too. Would not let me post without a rating, hit 1 star. A MONTH LATER AND STILL THE SAME?!?!?!?!!!!

I dont like this app. The weather part is not working properly. Its doesn't update. Doesn't show images. I cant find a 7 day or 10 day weather schedule. I cant find anything about Long Island traffic. The news doesn't always update. Please fix this app!!!

I have used this app for local traffic reports and maps and weather - now traffic no longer works - there is just a blank white screen with a spinning icon that never stops and never loads any traffic. Weather often is off by hours and not updated. Total waste if traffic is not fully restored!

Ever since the update a few days ago, the app doesn't update. My weather forecast is from last week 🤦🏼‍♀️ Many bugs and glitches to be worked out. I hate the updated app, it's a complete disaster! I used to rely on News12 for all of my local needs, sadly, I will be deleting this app, it's that useless.

Great way to get news. Non intrusive and does not interfere with your device or what you're doing. News is full and concise. Lets you pick what you want to read and ads are minimal but does not impede the articles.

Wow.. What happened with this app?? This last update ruined it.. Initially it wouldn't let me stay on the weather. When I would swipe up or down, it would send me to top stories.. but then they fixed that.. kind of... Now when I swipe up or down in top stories, it sends me to weather, but wont let me swipe out of weather.. lol.. Oh yea, and as of 9/21 at 10:05pm, my "todays" weather, is still on 9/18... The app was fine the way it was before the update.. smh.. come on news 12.
