News On 6 Weather

This app has been redesigned and doesn't function properly. It hangs up on the main screen and takes you back to that screen when you click on one of the functions. It also used to verbally warn you when one of the warnings you selected were issued for your area. Now it doesn't make any sound. I relied on this app to alert me and now I'm looking for a more reliable app.

Very disappointed in this app. When I first downloaded it, it worked great! Then when I had to update the app for future updates it changed. I had trouble getting some of the words in the news reports. They were tiny and all jumbled up and couldn't read them, and sometimes the screen was black. Weather reports were great! But ended up taking the app off since I couldn't get it to work right. Sorry, hope you can continue to revamp the app and make it easier to use.

this app was great before the redesign. its glitchy. most of the time it keeps reloading the home screen. if it let into the radar, it won't load half the time. the app works decently when the weather is good. when its bad! its useless! please fix this!! lives depend on this app, when the cable is out, the powers is out, or on the road!!!

I used to love this app. The 7 day forecast was easily visible as soon as I opened it. I could take a screenshot and send it to a friend. IF I wanted more information, it was still available. I opened it this morning and was overwhelmed with how busy it is. In a day when people expect instant results, I'm surprised Channel 6 has made the app less user friendly. I don't have time to scroll down through morning/evening temperatures to see a simple 7 day forecast. It's no longer convenient.

App takes way too long to load. Tonight I was under several tornado warnings and the app took several minutes to open. When it finally did, the radar screen wouldn't load. I had to close out of it numerous times. When working this app is great but if it won't work during an emergency it is putting my life in danger as I was depending on it. I have a galaxy 9+ and I was operating off of AT&T data.

It was installed so I could fix the alerts for all the types of weather we get here. But once you get those alerts installed there's no way to go in and update them. Had to completely uninstall the app and start all over again just to fix the alerts I wanted to see. And the radar map moves so fast you can't tell what the weather has been or will be especially on a cell phone screen.

The previous version of this app was great. I used it almost daily and I would gave given it 5 stars, but the new and current version is clunky and hard to use. Also, after the update, it hung on the splash screen and would not open. I had to manual uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. Based off the other bad reviews, I hope there is another release coming soon. If not, I'll find another app. Too bad, because I think the Tulsa channel 6 weather team is the best in NE Oklahoma!

Was a fantastic app until the latest update 5/19/2020. Now my phone vibrates every few minutes to tell me that the temperature has changed by one degree. Please fix this annoying problem! I will have to change to another weather app if it stays like this and I really don't want to because I like this weather team. At least give us the option to turn that off, and keep other alerts on.

As someone who is visually impaired in the Tulsa area, This is a really need feature to have and I have been using this for years now. The app is easy to navigate with and you can easily tell what is going on. One thing I would wish for is a dark mode for the standard background theme and a velocity radar

currently under tornado warning. live in skiatook. I didn't receive a warning, watch, lightening, severe thunderstorm, rain alert. nothing. I was loving this app until now. I was wishing for allergen alerts and a widget but now more concerned with the alerts not working. well except for the rip current one I have set for fort morgan. I'm sure this is a fluke, but please fix.

The app seems to work ok (not great, that's for sure). My big issue is with the notifications. I get between 3 and 5 blank weather "alerts", PER hour, on days that inclement weather is expected. Fix this issue and you might get up to 4 stars.

Lost ability to play videos - uninstalled and reinstalled to fix. Video timestamps still don't reflect when they were added, but description helps. All-in-all though: I like it. I use it. I'd miss it if I didn't have it.

Great content...if you can get to it. I don't review often but I really wanted to share my frustration with this app in hopes it can be better. If you give me a weather notification and I click on it...don't take me to the app homepage. If I click on a news article notification, don't link me to a live feed that doesn't work!

I was avoiding the updated till my new phone automatically updated it. the new format is awful! it's too busy and confusing. I loved the old version so much I used it daily not I'm uninstalling it because its useless to me it takes 10 minutes scrolling through filler to figure out what the forecast is.

Huge disappointment! Expected the 6 weather app to be as good & reliable as the weather team. App is terrible! Video forecasts are not updated daily. Radar is not accurate more often than not. Current radar in app shows no rain. Reality for the past 3 hours: absolute gulleywasher! Radar only allows one "layer" option. Have been using this app & another national app since moving back to OK & the national & even other state's station apps are far superior. Deleting this app, sadly.

This used to be my favorite and only weather app for several years across my different phones, and other life changes. New update will not even load and I am left with the unfortunate fact that I cannot even comment on the changes. I just have to uninstall and go for a different app. I am very disappointed. I especially used to enjoy the simplicity of the layout and easy to find information like school closings and live stream options. Travis is still the BEST, sorry I have to uninstall 😢

Always liked the app until recently. The humidity is always 100% and the heat index temp displayed is crazy--at the moment it's a warm 150°. I have rebooted the phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, it's still humid beyond reason and the heat index is, well, beyond belief. You folks are my go to weather folk but this app needs to go.

Terrible! The old version of this app was great. This version is absolutely ridiculous. It is constantly crashing, not loading, and overly complicated. So much of it is just unnecessary, I just want the stinking forecast!

This app used to be amazing and so helpful. Now, it's annoying and useless! First, videos take over 10 minutes to load. Second, most times like today, videos are hours late. Uninstalling immediately!

Recently completely broken - won't get past loading screen. They made their website and radar worse too. Sprinting backwards as fast as possible when it comes to IT. Make a change, 6.
