When I have the option to pay for an app, I'm expecting it to work flawlessly on the latest devices, no hiccups, no stutters whatsoever. This app is jittery/stuttery when scrolling up and down everywhere. It's driving me insane. It's miles away from working as smoothly as it should. I've got a OnePlus 6 so on a SD845 things generally are buttery smooth, BUT NOT on this app. How am I supposed to pay a monthly fee for this? I am literally waiting for it to be worked on properly and to see it run smoothly THEN pay, but you're doing such a poor job, that I'm just not motivated to do so. I'm disappointed.
As a visual person, I like the usability, layout, and display options! It's definitely one of the best rss readers out there. However, I wish there were more features for customizing sections: rearranging section order (which you can only do by +'ing and -'ing sections—it's not even alphabetical) and editing color and thumbnails. The stock "Business" or "Science" panels look weird beside custom "Home" and "Cuisine" panels (which should be pre-loaded too if "Sports" is considered standard...).
there doesn't seem to be a way to change performance. in 15 minutes of foreground and background activity, the app used 3% battery. For reference, the old RSS reader i was using would use less than 0.5% over 30 minutes. options to control how and when the app refreshes would be good. only had the app for about an hour, though. might update this in the future. Also, having the app preloaded with a bunch of feeds that you can only delete one at a time is rather annoying.
GUI is perfect and so intuitive but... It is not updating feeds "All" tab of sections showing nothing. Notifications not working, I guess because it's not updating You should be able to choose updating frequency Please get this working because if it worked it would be the best rss reader out there. What a beautiful interface and I love being able to add my own news sources. I would like to see better integration with reddit feeds and I wasn't able to get the widget to function but otherwise fantastic. Thanks so much.
It's kinda annoying when you're searching for an RSS feed and you end up seeing an option for publisher and another one for the site itself, only one actually works so why show two? Plus there isn't anything really appealing to me so uninstalling. I prefer Feedly anyway
The idea that I have to select a region for a start makes it unsuitable. The fact that news are displayed as they are makes it very tiring to use, and not practical to see news at a glance.
Not updated since 2019. Doesnt work without account. Guest mode crashes as soon as you open it. Not worthy like newpipe app where you use service without account access. Plus it never works always crashes. Avoid it or dev improve it. I think dev has abandoned this app.
Yeah ... it's pretty good. It could be better. The font is a bit small and the articles don't seem to include author's name. It seems to pander a lot too. But, at least I can get the news that I want and not the typical mind numbing msm news.
Need the following features: 1. Add option to download more than 20 stories for offline reading. 2. All users to sort by old stories, read only stories and unread only stories. 3. Option to add tags/custom favorite. But at the moment this has tons of promise for dethroning Inoreader or Feedly.
The app and the news loads very slowly. Also the option to manage section is not working, as the app closes on its own.
Crashes whenever I try to signin. Worst experience which is never before & never after. Outta courtesy for the users kindly fix the bug. Thanks!
Unsubscribing and uninstalling. Feeds now take days to update even though there is new content available. Would be a great app if it actually updated feeds properly. What a shame. I left a previous comment and got no reply or solution so I'm out :(
Very good RSS reader. Elegant format. Easy to catch-up with news quickly. Will add one more star if a widget with scrollable list is provided...
Cookies?! I get a notification when I try to share an article that newstab needs me to disable cookies. I've been an rss feed user for 10+ years. I've tried dozens of rss feed apps and have never seen a cookie nag from any of them. Shame on you!
It's not updating the feeds anymore. It's just showing 4 day old news articles. Would be a great app if the feeds actually updated.
It seems fast but i want a simple 3 x N Grid display of article graphics, not a massive magazine style graphic per article or a scrollable list which is only 1 x N.
Tha widget never seems to update properly, only having stories from 5-9 days ago. Apart from that, i quite like this app.
Great but can read some articles partly and have to go to browser to read the full version. Please fix this!
Exceptional effort... Everything is top notch except for empty feeds. Root this out, and you are the best in business.
An impressive n very intuitive app but it seems to be draining battery juice just as fast. Hope the developer can check on that. Thank you.
Good app for most of the sites I wanted to follow, but not all. It takes to many stamps to imput new feed and some are not recognized. Uninstalled
Great App: Get all your local news in your area. Also News that's important to you...pic, videos, get complete story.
App has stopped working completely it seems. Contacted the publisher, who has not replied.

Visually appealing app with jus the right functionality for a casual power user. It would be great if everything would work, but at present it is plagued by problems. First, Newstab frequently crashes or fails to start. More importantly, the news aggregator generating the 'All' tab for each section had serious issues. For any language but English, it does not work at all or extremely erratically. Still waiting for a good news aggregator that has discovered other languages besides English exist.
