It was a pretty good app. Until someone thought it a good idea to make full screen images on the background. Now it looks awful and is hard to read. Is a coder myself, I have to ask this question. Why do you insist on enforcing changes? You do realize you can make it an option, right? Give me the choice. Then turns a a good app into a great app. User choice. [x] simple view, plan background small image at top [0] full screen image view See, easy to do.

The new design is overengineered, IMHO. The previous design was more functional and worked very well, now it takes ages to scroll through the news list and the fade-in of the pictures is quite distracting. In some cases the text is also hard to read if the image is bright. Won't remove any stars of course, your concept is awesome and I'm thankful for your work. But please add a setup option to change back to the old style, I always prefer functionality ahead of fanciness.

It is awesome to be able to view multiple sources to a single media topic. You can paint a better picture of what is going on by reading all sources and attempting to filter out the biases yourself. Newsvoice makes that super easy, by listing all related articles and thier political leanings with every topic. I hope this app takes off, because if everyone checked for accuracy and biases before during and after reading an article (all the time) the world would be a better place, especially in USA

The concept of this app has always been great, but the new design is a huge step backwards, in my opinion. I find it really off-putting to read now. It definitely made the ability to quickly scan for articles of interest a lot more difficult, both due to the distracting visuals and the change in the way it scrolls through stories. It really seems like a pointless flashy update. I probably won't be using this app anymore unless they simplify the design again. Sorry, but I just can't handle it.

I like the app but you've made a recent change to the layout that makes it very difficult to read. I have a brain injury, and trying to make out the letters on a transparent background laid detailed pictures that scroll, actually makes me feel sick. There was no reason to change it from the solid background for text. You've affectively worsened your product for no reason. I loved this app but can no longer use it. It's not worth struggling so hard to simply read the news.

Loving the idea of this app and so far I've been using it to look up the news. It would be nice to see a different section for other sites like blogs, magazines tackling different subjects and categories so I can completely replace Flipboard. I also like the minimalist design. Just seeing good things so far. I've already recommended this app to my friends.

I have had it for about 3 weeks and I am really enjoying it. I get more diverse news from around the world than I do from any other news source. I like the way they identify the bias of each news source. My only suggestion would be to sort the news by most recent. Items that updated 2 days ago are interspersed with news events that happened 1 hour ago, so it makes for scrolling through what you have already seen to find what you haven't.

Excellent application! I love the ability to read an unbiased summary while having the option to read further into often more than one source of the news! I also enjoy the fact that I can submit my own articles to go through a curating process. Overall I haven't experienced any bugs yet and has managed to keep me reading compared to the interface of other news applications. Keep up the good work developers!

I loved this app until they recently changed the main screen with the sliding topics overlaying the images. Now the contrast is so bad with some of the varying images that you can't even read the synopsis. Changing something that works just to make it "cool" is not always a good thing especially if it makes it harder to use.

Many mismatched headines or photos to articles. The one good thing about this app was that you could scan headlines as you scroll, looking for the stories that were missed or obscured by other news sources. The most recent update decided to fix what wasn't broken. Now it looks "slicker" but it just rendered itself completely useless & I'll be deleting it now.

Never get news from only one source. Newsvoice seems based on this. I love direct linking to multiple articles and it displays the political bias for each source. Handy these days when two headlines for the same thing won't be anywhere close to the same or even accurate most of the time. BUG REPORT: notifications. When I click a notification for a story it should take me to that story, but most of the time it takes me to the story I previously read the last time the app was open.

I have tried many news apps and I know what I am looking for in an app. This one is too US politics centered for me. There is no options for other stuff like exclusively sports for example or any custom filters. Seeing the bias in news is one thing, having a comprehensive coverage is another. That being said, it's probably useful for anyone in the US.

Just tried it for a few minutes: Never used the "old" interface, but I can understand all the complaints with the current one. Looked at 3 articles, 2 were ok. Bad 1 was on the F35, couldn't see an article to read & the related articles were on Britney Spears? I suggest News360, not perfect. But it doesn't have translucent white text on (light/white) photos. And 95%+ the Title matches content.

Good attempt, great concept, only decent implementation. Too many crashes. Too many stories with irrelevant links, clear spin, or omission. Comments exemplify the problems in modern discourse. Final straw was when I took the time to type out a LONG essay of a "reply" (which the app doesn't support), tapped to post it and it crashed, wasting almost half an hour of my time because the app couldn't handle posting a comment without crashing.

No longer works... seems to be have just stopped working... like others have said... once it starts working again, I'll happily raise the stars. Here my Previous Review... really like that you can compare news articles from Right & Left leaning news organisations to get a wider perspective of what the options are on both sides! Nice work keep it up!!

The app so far is really good and works fine on my Pixel on Android 11. The crowd sourced headline and summary idea is very interesting. I don't feel qualified to contribute, but with more users that will get easier I'm sure. It's a very good way to get news. Even just reading the headlines is enjoyable. I don't feel like I'm being toyed with. The summaries so far have been very impressive for how they're made. You can tell a lot of thought went into them.

Sent by Bearing. Good interface, kind of a strange idea to have a "levelling system" in a News App, but hey, whatever brings in more traffic, eh? I love the labelling system of "Left", "Right", "Central", "Europe", etc for the different biases that may prevail in the different News Articles, and its all a lot less clunky than having to actively go out to read different articles about the same story. In its current state, I'd totally recommend getting the app.

Absolute trash comment section overrun by trumpkin maniacs. Many of the articles are linked wrong, have an inaccurate description, or are mixed up with an entirely different stories. It identifies essentially all newsgroups into an incorrect category (right, left, center etc). It does function as a news aggregator, that sort of tries to show you stuff you may be interested in, so in that regard it works. It just has so many flaws I can only give it 2 stars.

Personally, I like the idea. I do find it sad that the people commenting alot of the time are really biased themselves and unwilling to change their opinion even on an app that's goal is to remove the bias from news. Besides that id give it a higher rating if it still worked. After the new update, when I open the app, it says that either I have no internet connection or the app crashed. Edit: with the new update, my issue was solved.

i was looking for a news app that allowed me to do some lateral reading. The right, left, center, Europe, etc. icons make it easy to read what I'm more likely to agree with and then quickly find another perspective. I've grown tired of only finding what fits my view, this really helps to break out of that narrow mindset.

I've been looking for the right news app for ages and I love this one. Very little bias. The app lists headlines, clicking a headline brings you to a short unbiased summary with links to articles from different outlets labeled with their political slant. Great way to get a feel for how different outlets are interpreting the headlines of the day.

I like the ability to read several takes on a single news story. It makes it much eaiser to find the truth buried behind biases would be nice though when clicking the alerts for replies on a story if the new comments would show without having to find the story The last few days I can't have the app open for more than a few seconds till it crashes

I like it. It's pretty nice. Only wish there was a dark theme for the app but other than that, it is truly a good source of news. However, whenever I see a news story and click off the app after awhile of reading, a few minutes later I get a notification of the same story I just read not too long ago. Please fix. Pretty nice though.

Excellent source to get a broad and overall perspective on news. It can be a bit behind some sources but they really seem to make a effort to deliver a good balance. The App itself is definitely a still a work in progress but the developers definitely seem to be putting their hearts into it.

I genuinely enjoy looking at the news with this app. All of the stories are quickly summarized for a quick read and all have multiple sources from different perspectives if you want more information and for easy fact checking. You can also customize what kind of news hits your feed. Overall a very enjoyable app.

My biggest issue is the clickbait, instead of notifications with the in app headline, it'll say x makes statement about y. The actual headline gives more context to the story and the notifications seem designed to make you open the app rather than give you the information to decide if you want to open the app to read more. The ui is a bit cluttered being just one feed with ever story there. The search is particularily bad, give more room for images and spacing.
