Newswav - Latest Malaysia News

I'm not an avid news reader but this app makes it convenient to keep myself up to date with latest happening. Now I don't missed out from the hot news, thanks to Newswav app.

28th Apr 22 - Improved a lot. 20th Jan 21 - Too bad I've to uninstall this app because I'm force to "read" the Muted Publishers though I'm fine with the advertisements. 19th Jan 21 - The news articles still appear in front of me though I've unfollowed

Actually a great app except the advertisements block a lot of the written article. And you cannot delete or remove the advertisement. Changing font size may allow you to reveal some of the text. Your layout allows the advertisement to be on top of the article. You have a problem here.

The app is terrible. For some reason by default it went through my do not disturb mode and there is no setting to silence the notification except from my system setting where i need to disable it one by one. The design itself feels like a knockoff instagram and sluggish in term of performance. Too many unimportant news inside the app imo. Edit 1: thx dev for replying. understood about the android 9 requirement. about the notification, the only option i see is not getting all the news notification. there is no setting to make the notification silent (not ringing or vibrating). i think you need to tweak the code to follow system profile setting since all apps notification in my phone silence or not based on my DnD mode. i just want to get the notification silently, not disable it.

Whenever I clicked on the breaking news notification and open app, it will shows "connectivity issue" and ask try again, reload and it's still the same. Click back button and show the same issue. Only when click back to main page of app, then things are showing but I missed the articles I wanted to see. Need to find back manually.

I like the app as I can get news from different sources, but it can be improved upon by adding more features to optimise the more important news rather than some publishers getting more exposure than others. One such publisher is Newstrack live of which the articles I have no interest in. Basically it would be better to have a feature to blacklist or remove publishers from view.

Overall the app is good but i wish if your team can enhance the news notification the way it notified the user, preferably if newswav can display just one notifiaction icon on the handphone top part and if more than one notification, it will be in pulled fown method, if not all your notifications will b flooded the phone's notification bar....please look into it. Thank you.

I like this app, but sometimes when i tap the news that pop up in my notification to read. The page appeared the word error. I don't know if this things only happened to me or happen to any other user too.

1) while news source is fast, tend to have connectivity errors when try load from notification. May be due to internet connection or app itself. Some other users reported same problem. 2) share function is good, but only user with this app can view the news, which kinda defeat the purpose. Not everyone wish to install new app. If we can share the news, they open it in say browser/ news provided app or page , that's be great. Understand it may be a way your side promoting your app but seriously

Decent app. Would give four stars if the news flashes showed the full text of the headline, like the BBC or Bloomberg apps. Currently the news flash headlines are cut off, so I don't know whether it's worth clicking on the story. Would give five stars if that were fixed and business coverage were better (more of the Edge, Malaysian Reserve, Focus Malaysia).

First , it was working fine . But as time go on, the ads are getting intrusive and full screen ads! It's very disturbing when you are reading and browsing news . Very sorry , Devs. You will have to do something about this or everyone will uninstall just like what I'm doing now...until then.....I will consider installing it again.

Give u very quick view of news from several sources. However, the latest version has a glitch. It failed to download!

Best news app out there! You will never stay out of date with news as long as you have this app. Easy to use and navigate, and you can interact with the polls too! Definitely worth the stars. Goodjob dev

I do understand that your app is at no cost and that ads are needed to sustain your existances. Senior citizens like me who do not have incomes, are pleased that at least we get some good reliable full news updates, not like some other apps. Thank you again..but please look into ways that may help above 60's folk like me continue in our little reading pleasures. God bless you guys for the early response. Thank you.

Lately experiencing issue when want read any news article. Keep prompt out notifications that there connectivity issue. I have uninstall the apps as it not working.

This app works efficiently. But whoever writes the daily Covid-19 updates should stop using exclamation marks in every frigging headline. It started month ago and every headline has had !!!! Stop with the exclamation marks, it's poor headline writing. Be objective and let your readers react by themselves.

Overall not bad. I'm not really a newsreader until I found out newswav from my friend, that I could get notification for covid num daily, finally no need to wait until someone forward message to me 😅 I like the feature where I can see live election result on the app 👍 I should've known about this app earlier lol

Great news apps but please include a widget feature, it will be much more convenient for the readers.

It used to be one of my favorites but the screen is jammed and gives the same screen even after several uninstallation and reinstallation. Uninstalled it now.

I like all publishers of the Newswav app. It's really happy that I just need to download 1 app then I can stay informed on current affairs from dif news publishers. This app focuses mostly on local news and speedy covid update. 👍👍👍

App is good and function well, but in Malaysia we have major 4 ethnics, there have Bahasa Malaysia, English and Chinese language in this app, but don't have Bahasa Tamil, suppose to have these 4 languages.

Love that it always keep me updated and the feature to save a particular news which you might want to read it again in the future.

Articles from some portals such as Bernama, IBtimes and MalaysiaNow doesn't open...always displaying a connectivity issue notification. And it's got nothing to do with blocked ip...I can access those sites using Google Chrome.

It always show connectivity issue, no matter how many times I tried. It was workin awhile but then completely not loading at all...

Variety in news clear and distinct

Is all about ads. They continue this behavior like never end. Forget about this app except u enjoy every few news there is one ad for u. Delete is the way.
