Need to be able to pull up accounting info on mobile, have had to resort to taking my pics on my phones camera roll then uploading them because they don't always upload using the app, cost me money on jobs by not being able to prove work performed. Crashes often, can't always add notes, can't always click on address to open GPS, can't always click on phone to call.
If I didn't have to have this app for work, I wouldn't. The worst app on my phone. Glitchy and slow. Have to log in evrytime I open it, which is several time each hour. What a pain in the ... ! Gave it one star because you can't give it 5 negative stars.
Map feature is gone. Why does it only sync up 20 photos at a time?! I have to stay on that photo folder,wait for 20 photos to sync up and click again to upload the remaining photos. Some photos won't sync up at all. I had to uninstall the app and reinstall for the app to "refresh". Just to find out all my photos from previous day and with multiple jobs did not upload and sync up.
I've been using this app for around 3 months nearly on a daily basis, for Android users the app is horrible, address not linked to Google maps, cannot complete compliances and have to rely on the main office to complete them for me, overall it has quite a bit of potential however as it is, it's just another program that is a pain to use for my work. Found the reason I could not use the app to it's proper potential, updating to three stars for now.
Every time I try to log in, using the same password as the desktop version, the software asks me to create a new password!!!! What the heck is going on here. I updated the password today and is still asking me to get a new password!!
This app crashes every min. You have to log in repeatedly. Why is this app so horrible when there is so much potential?
Since the last two updates I no longer have been able to click on the client address for maps on my Andrid phone. Please look into this. It's been a long month without it working. I see others are saying the same thing. I'd truly appreciate an update with a fix sooner than later. Thanks, Daniel
Constant glitches, unessesary UI animations, the zoom feature is un-usable, not to mention sometimes getting locked out and having to restart the app. Fix your app please for the love of god i have to use this for work
This app does contain several useful and time saving features. Unfortunately the Apple centric coders responsible for this app seem to be unable to make it work cross platform. I have used the Next Gear app on 3 different Android devices. Without exception the app failed to perform to the level required to maintain the integrity of job data we need it to record and store. When run on any Android device it either performs poorly or freezes.
Overall glitchy and and unstable not intuitive. With the latest upgrade maps does not work. So while driving to a project i have to remember the address, press it into maps manually. I loath your customer service rarely do I get issues resolved the only thing I get accomplished is frustration level goes up and productivity goes down and the CS says "sorry we were unable to resolve your issue I can have a more experienced team member get touch with you when it's convenient for them"
Rough.. I have to deal with this app for ~45 people in our company and this last couple of days has been about it for me. The new update has destroyed Dry Trac so we couldn't see equipment and finish a visit. Now the new version to fix the old issues is having trouble finding the logins and no one can log in, and only some have the update. Fingers crossed that the second attempt to fix the latest update goes smoother.
If using the photo management and upload feature there are consistent problems. Its total garbage. Our company has been using DASH for sometime now and this has been a constant problem that never gets addressed. It shouldn't be that hard to have photos upload in order without constant errors. It doesn't matter if you're using the mobile app or desktop version. Photo upload and pdf creation have never 100% worked correctly. FIX THESE PROBLEMS ALREADY. QUIT FOCUSING ON THE THINGS THAT DON'T MATTER
I find Dash acceptable, glad you fixed the auto search, and slowed it down. Our company has been utilizing Dash for years. The most annoying thing has to be the moblie app constantly logging you out if you attempt to multi-task. Switching to another app to check on something or taking a phone call, when you come back to Dash you're logged out.
Cannot pull up address on maps, cannot make call from inside app, and when I take a picture inside the app I get kicked out and the picture doesn't save
Wouldn't be such a bad app if it didn't have so many bugs!! Crashes a lot, won't sync photos half the time, and dont even get me started with trying to put in a new drytrack!!!! Kinda feels like they just gave up half way through building this app.
Always freezes and randomly shuts down
This app is ok. It's so slow at times. And when you're uploading photos it only uploads 20 at the time. Sometimes the photos fail to upload, if you tap the sync button more than once it will double upload the pics. It will shut down at times. But overall it's ok
I've always been the defender of dash when other field members complain, now I hate DASH and loathe having to use the app in the field. Since the most recent update, Connectivity issues are constant, have to log in and reset pin nearly every time I open the app. Basically when I need the app it doesn't want to work. No issues until now.
Address links no longer clickable within app. I used to be able to click on address and address would open in my Google maps. This feature no longer works. Latest update took this feature away. Samsung Galaxy s20. Every damn update nextgear comes out with, messes something else up. Must be nice to get paid to make an already horrible app, more horrible. ***EDIT*** Have latest version installed and yet problem persists...
This app blows. It's impossible to navigate and it gave me rectal cancers. 0/10 I would recommend asset panda because it works gooder. Stay black 👍🏿
Another day, another new app to waste your time and clog up your mitigation process. Between constant crashes, a completely ***-backwards interface, an objectively broken search engine, and a reliance on a constant 24/7 internet connection (hope you like drained batteries!), you can fully expect more complicated and frustrating daily mitigation pipeline.
The mobile app has made great strides over the years. Adding photos, notes, job tasks, and calendar entries have been very easy. I like the simplicity of the app. With anything there could be more improvements but I know that will come in time. Uploading photos and putting notes in the job is very easy.
My opinion of the app hasn't changed. Often it goes offline even when I have a strong signal, very annoying. You can only upload 20 pictures at a time and it takes forever for them to load.Dont care for the performance of the app.
Great work on the app, lately it's been behaving a lot better. Sometimes exception reason doesn't come up when I'm completing a task but using the app let's me plug photos and data right into our database. Keep it up!
Terrible program and company! Would give -5 stars if I could. Not user friendly at all. 90% of the features don't work properly and end up making you work more and longer. Has connectivity issues regularly. If you're reading this, you've already wasted too much time on Next Gear.
Worked great on my iPhone but then I got the galaxy s22+ and I have no options to put notes in for a job.
Lol. Can't wait till corporate dumps this and hires another company to create yet another app that doesn't work. Edit: Great! Now with MICCA and ProAssist added into the mix the dumpster fire has grown exponentially. Looking forward to all the new problems and the old tried and true invaluable tech support solution of "have you tried reinstalling"? 👍
This is the most repulsive app setup I have ever seen!! If you want your jobs to be 1000 times longer for things not loading/downloading or crashing for no reason. I mean it even looses data on stuff that you completed. So if your looking to win any lawsuits you might get in dont use this app.
App is thrash I have to use it for work! Back button on my android (apps fault not the phone!) doesn't work on it, it's always crashing and makes me change my password every other week!
If you use an android dont even bother. This app has been crashing my new Note20 Ultra since the day I down loaded this app. My maps glitches out, wont allow me to do anything, and crashes. Theres an entire type of equipment that whenever we try to add it to a job it completely closes out the app and removes any of that days previous moisture readings. You can only move 10 pieces of the same type of equipment at a time or it will misplace some. Theres so much more but I'm out of room.
