Next Lock Screen

I like using this since my Xiaomi doesn't have unfolded/on screen notifications when locked (you have to pull down the tray from the top) Some things I don't like and that would be very easy to add to the app : 1 - there's no option to change the way you unlock your phone (pull down only. I was used to pull up) 2 - there's a clock but it doesn't let you access to the app (for instance to turn on your alarm clock without unlocking) 3 - you have to swipe the notification tag to the right to open the app. I was used to tapping it... Further, to dismiss it, you have to swipe it to the left side. Can't modify these settings. 4 - can't really modify the settings for the tray showing oft-used apps and contacts. I'd like to change the shortcuts like replace Wifi with Hotspot....

The app is very good and it's easy to use. It also contains no ads. However, I've noticed two bugs: 1. The screen unlocks itself when three consecutive messages are received from the same app, whoever the contact is. 2. The Music Control sometimes does not appear on the lock screen even if music player is on. Fix these bugs and the app will be just perfect.

I've been using the app for years on various phones, including my current one, and I love it. However recently my phone got an upgrade to Android 9 and ever since I'm having problems. After unlocking the screen it's not responding. The only thing that works is tapping an app icon. Once I have started an app everything works normal again, until it is locked again. Removing and reinstalling unfortunately didn't solve the problem.

Shame this app was discontinued, it was easily the BEST lock screen replacement app out there. And with the Microsoft Launcher also installed, it allowed for a seamless transition and worked perfectly with the Launcher/home screen. Never ran into any bugs, flaws, slowdowns, etc while using Next. It was just a really well-designed, well-put-together lock screen replacement app. I loved the extra features and customization options not available in the stock Android lock screen. Bring back Next!!

The smart lock constantly disappears and reappears all on it's own or possibly with updates I guess, not sure which. However, when it disappears from the Next Screen Lock setting, this is a major inconvenience. I could use the system smart lock, but that defeats the purpose since I am using Next for its features and look and using the system lock instead makes the phone bypass Next almost 100%. I loved this app until that began happening again here recently, I am thinking of getting rid of now.

Very nice app. Works as expected. Only one thing needs to be modified. I want to set to display who has whatsapp me, but no need to display the message, but it shows the message alongwith the contact name. And also it is not showing any control for music player, i m currently using MX Player as default music player. Kindly check it out.

This could be a great app if the lock screen didn't change all the time. Shortcuts constantly dissappear. Camera and phone shortcuts are rarely there. It's a beautiful app that can be great if you didn't have to fix it all the time. I may be looking for a new app that works but I'd rather not.

I like the lock screen. It looks great and when the lock screen works, it is very useful. However, the lock screen does not work on my phone. It worked great the first day, but now it will not function at all unless I go and click on the app before I manually lock my phone. And then it won't work if my phone is locked for longer than an hour.

Doesn't work well with Oreo. (Android 8+) Hopefully they fix it. I had to disable the stock lock screen in Developer options for it to work. However it still has some major problems with showing notifications. Other locks screen apps show notifications fine e.g. for 3 notifications from the app shows 3 notifications in the lock screen. Next loses all the previous notifications only showing the latest in condensed form and doesn't even give you the option to cycle through them

I don't really like this app at all. There is alot of ads that just pop up in the middle of my reading something, playing a game or just going through my phone. Also if I put my phone in my pocket the phone would unlock and dial numbers, go into other apps. I mean the app is just ridiculous , don't bother trying it out.

Constantly allowing me to select certain options, then disappearing the next. Ability to stay unlocked at home is constantly riddled with bugs, switching between work, home, and neither. This was last updated in May of 2018 and hasn't seen any improvements since. Don't download

Made useless by Android. You know where this would be useful on Windows 10. Looks nice for the 1/10 of a second you can see it. where it would be nice to have quick shortcuts and your notifications right on the lockscreen is on my surface pro. it would be nice if Microsoft paid as much attention to Windows as they do to Android and iOS

It's too bad Microsoft stopped supporting this app. It used to be great, but as time goes by it has more issues with newer Android version. The deal breaker for me is pack of Intune integration. I cannot receive notifications from company store apps, which makes Next useless.

Was good but needs to be updated for Android Pie. Causes lockups on the Essential Phone. Also locks scrolling ability of your app home screen to the right. You have to view all apps then go back to home screen for it to go to the next screen. When phone is locked and reopened same error every-time.

Hi, Developers. The app is very good. but there is a problem in wallpaper selection. I can not select wallpaper of my choice from app. every time it shows the network error. I always turn on Mobile network & wifi but the problem persists. kindly update this.

I like the look of it and I think it works great, but there's one problem with it the lock screen will sometimes open multiple times even after I have entered the right combination. Also, sometimes it will just pop up randomly for example in the middle of a game.

I really like the app. My only problem is with the app launcher. It keeps lossing the apps. Functionality should be deleted since it cannot be fixed. Why waste peoples time. Thanks for write the program. I enjoy the bing images.

Does not work on s9+. If I want fingerprint then the stock lockscreen shows and when I unlock that, this shows for a millisecond and my phone is unlocked. Trying to check the FAQ or report an issue only resulted in pages that didn't load. Didn't expect this from a company like Microsoft!

Great when it works but the lockscreen dissapears constantly as said by others. If that is fixed and it would work together with the system lock I would use it instantly. However atm it's either turn off system lock and the security measures that comes with it like remote lock etc or needing to unlock twice. Once for this app and once for the system lock

Too buggy. Had Smart Lock set and was working fine. Out of the blue the Smart Lock feature was removed. I've uninstalled and reinstall app but Smart Lock is still missing. This app hasn't been updated in over a year. Probably why it's malfunctioning. I'll have to find another smart lock app

Recent days the app locked out my phone of sudden and the locksceen wallpaper spontaneously changed to previous ones (although I have deleted the photos!) it spent 200 mb on storage and keep increasing. Not smooth and lightweight app, disappointing ! I preferred old version.

Using it as a basic lockscreen everytime I got a notification it auto opened to that app, I don't like that and I'd like to turn it off, but I can't find it in the settings, and I'm not even sure you can. Microsoft, please fix

I think I found an error.. everyday by the morning of after about 12h have passed, my lockscreen wallpaper changes automatically, even though I haven't checked "Bing daily wallpaper". I also have a custom wallpaper, which I pretty much love, so, switching to those Bing wallpapers without my permission is kind of annoying.

This is a nice lock screen but it needs alot more settings like color font and size also would like the unlock slide to say what I would like.. Needs way more setting and it would be really good. Will be checking back see if it gets more settings..

Sometimes when I would skip a song on the lock screen it song would skip then it would unlock my phone without a password or finger print. It's a really good app just not as reliable. If you guys were to fix this some how the would be amazing.

Still can't work out how to get this as the default lock screen, and retain use of the fingerprint scanner...tried on my previous Nokia 8 and still no joy on my Nokia 9. No fingerprint unlock options within Next, the whole process of setting it up is not intuitive so off it came again...

Honestly Next Locksreen and Outlook is the best microsoft apps on playstore. Both apps are free and reliable for me. Another microsoft apps eg office you need to subscription for maximal feature. For honourable apps is onedrive. Once more next lockscreen is the best lockscreen ever! Free and no ads. I hope all microsoft apps can be free without subscriptions to get maximum features.

This is getting very stupid now. 1) the lockscreen barges in when you're on an important call to get all up in your face before you use any of your call functions. 2) the app for the lockscreen doesn't let you report the dysfunctionality because it thinks you have no network connection when you know full well from being able to write this review you do. Otherwise Google will tell you. The rule is: you do until Google says you don't.

Nice lock screen. Very customizable, lots of functions. The huge problem is, sometimes it doesn't work. When I turn on my phone, the lock screen doesn't activate.

Very convenient to use. I feel i need there an option to configure the last line of apps (the one with the wireless and blue tooth), for example i need there an icon for ring /vibrate /silence
