A torch app is essential on a mobile phone. There are countless torch apps out there, but this is the best because it works well and requires no dangerous permissions. Responsive widget and status bar notification if you forget to switch off. I like the widget better than the one Samsung supplies for the Note.

Once upon a time this app did everything I wanted it to do. Now, however, if the phone display turns off so does the light - yet the app keeps from phone from sleeping, consuming copious amounts of battery. Also, High Brightness doesn't work even though I am rooted. Other than that, lightweight torch app =)

It worked at first on my rooted Photon but for some reason the super brightness isn't working now. Won't recognize root. Please fix. Otherwise it's the best FL application on the market if you just need a great light. (Photon not supported yet so I really can't complain, at least it works).

This app got me and the Mrs home on Rapa Nui the other night (gets v. dark there, not many street lights etc), and also helped explore some caves and stuff - love it! My Galaxy S2 kept going to sleep and turning the light off, but a touch on an unused bit of the screen from time to time prevented that. Great stuff!

This app works as it states it does on Nexus 4 and it requires camera permissions. At first, camera permissions seem logical, but if other flashlight apps don't need it, why does this? The description for camera permissions clearly states that the app can take pictures and control your camera without your confirmation. Really? All a flashlight app should need is access to the LED flash, no other permissions. Three stars for usefulness and requiring less permissions than other flashlight apps.

I had an HTC Incredible and loved the torch app that came with Cyanogenmod Rom, now I upgraded to the Rezound and there are no CM roms as aosp will not work at the moment. This app sort of works on the Rezound but the screen and the leds will flicker at a slow rate even with strobe is deactivated. Please fix! I'll pay for the app if you fix it! This is the ONLY APP that truly makes the LEDs as bright as possible.

Quasi works on g2x - turns on and off light but the ui lags behind the status of the led a bit. Thankfully has no stupid ads.

But UI doesn't look good in 480x640 screen resolution, hence 4 stars instead of 5

App is not stable on the LG Optimus G (LS970). Standard light works, high power light causes the phone to reboot. Strobe causes the app to stop working after a few seconds.

Confirmed to work on HTC hd2 with android (including high brightness) and also desire hd (no high brightness). Does not work in Samsung galaxy tab

I keep getting warnings that my Nexus 4 may not be compatible but I have never had any problems whatsoever.

This was one of my favorite apps on my Nexus S 4g, but ever since I got the Ice Cream Sandwich ota update the torch doesn't work. Please update as soon as possible so I can give it the 5 stars this app deserves.

Great lil app, love the strobe, min permissions. But had to uninstall when Nexus S updated to ICS, just stopped working

I have a Nexus 4 running Android 5.1 Lollipop (not rooted), and this app works perfectly. However, its torch is already quite bright. Please send a request to Ben Buxton (whoever that is) to update the app so that there is no high brightness on the Nexus 4.

Works fine apparently on the Nexus 4, though it says it won't on launch. I haven't pushed the light up to the highest setting though as I don't need to.

Works just fine on Nexus 4. Phone rebooted on me when trying the "high brightness" mode but that's fine, I imagine that is a very device specific specialized option.

Light is really bright on my Nexus S... However should have the SOS feature to glow and dim alternatively to save power

I even allowed root access, app says no root, LED never turned on while other apps have.

No Android 4 support, yet is listed in Market as compatible. Set the Max sdk version of this appropriately please.

It was my favourite torch app, but it doesn't work on ICS, so I can't use it now. Nexus S on Ice cream sandwich.

Used to work great. Every time I open the app, my phone reboots. Using a Samsung Galaxy S4. Will be looking for a replacement.

Does what its supposed to do. Some phones don't have a low or high led flash and some phones don't support this app. Don't give 1 star because your phone is not comparable! Droid X2, verizon

Galaxy S2. Works ok, Loses a star because it's not pretty and it misbehaves when the screen times out. extra stars for no unnecessary permissions or adverts :)

It says "your mt11i is not probably supported. Sorry". But it works. If dev feels the necessity, please add SE MT11i to compatibility list.

Rooted CM9/ics caused torch to stopped working due to changes in camera drivers. Not torches fault though

Works even though it says it might not when starting up. Didn't try extra bright setting. It still asks for root privs even tho using Jelly Bean.

I've wanted this ever since I saw it on the CM ROMs. Thrilled that it now works on my Atrix. It DID NOT work until I upgraded to Gingerbread.

Does what it says. It is super bright; no need for a boost. I am glad to have an effective flashlight app again.
