It's very useful and functional for those very familiar with technology, however many of the functions are behind a paywall. Also it can work in conjunction with a second app Tasker but that also costs too much money. Both combined are $6 and that's a bit much for NFC chip functions. Overall this app lives up to it's description; It's very useful for someone looking to make their life easier with the (advanced) use of technology.
This app is great! It's UI looks great, it's easy to use, and is compatible with the random NFC stickers that were all over Amazon. There are tons of things you can do with this (you don't need to know any code), and the Pro version is even better! The developer is super nice and responded to my emails with questions. It enables the bridge between the digital and physical worlds effortlessly. Sometimes you just need a button instead of pushing a thousand things do just one task.
App works really well for writing tags, I wish it could toggle things like mobile data, but I did some research and found that Android has patched any app's ability to do that, which is way a root is now required for that type of function. The interface takes a bit of poking around in order to learn where the different pieces are categorized, but it's a great tool for creating NFC tags!
Brilliant app, and most functions and tasks actually work pretty well. Oh, and it's fairly simple to use if you're patient enough. Bluetooth doesn't always come on, but it's forgivable. Suggestion though: How about a task where one can use the NFC Tag to Unlock the phone? I reckon that would be brilliant. Assuming that is there isn't one already...
Great first experience! I had some stickers I had never used and I wanted to program them. it was really easy with this app to program a URL into one of them and even put a password protection on it instead of locking it forever. Interface was easy to use for someone that didn't read any instructions.
Unable to load NFC content from a file. This seems like the most basic use case for an app like this, downloading data from the internet and writing it to an NFC tag. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem possible, even with the pro version. It's a shame that such a simple feature is not present in an otherwise very nice app.
I love this app for reading and writing NFC tags. This app is very easy to use. So far the free version has done everything I needed, but I am considering paying for the pro version just to support the developer. I use this in my dog rescue. we have a catalog display with many of our senior dogs or other dogs that can't make it to events. Instead of having to tell people to manually enter a dog's web address in their phone's web browser, they just have to tap on an NFC tag.
While I am not that tech savvy, I found the instructions clear, and the app intuitive. Furthermore, the developer responded quickly and professionally to a question, indicative of my "beginner" level of NFC. They even took the time to offer some suggestions. Thank you.
Update: can read Nintendo amiibo, but cannot clone them or write to them. Can also read but not duplicate hotel keys. Fair enough. Those are both pretty proprietary (keys for safety, amiibo because Nintendo is, well, itself) I did get my little ring working. There's a discolored line on the edge that I thought was a flaw, but it's actually pointing right at the antenna. I use it to store my business card, so I can tap someone's phone and my business card pops up. 👍
Absolutely awesome! I saw an advert on instagram for business cards that provide an NFC contact, but I thought rather than waste my money I'd try overwriting an old gym pass. Now, I've got a card that - in one tap - relays my phone, email, website, instagram, linkedin and github all at once... and doesn't need a battery to power it! Works like a charm! Edit: I've experimented with cross compatibility, and it seems my card won't work with iPhones. Is this addressable on a software level?
This app - allong with my rings, and NFC Tasks, has made so many things so much easier, faster, less stressful. With banking info, computer access, phone pins, house keys, and things I wont mention kept on different pieces of jewelry, I can breaze through most of life with an inconspicuos wave of the hand. It's simple, straight forward and easy to use. Just wish "Tools" and "Tasks" were combined.
A bit complicated at first glance but tutorials online are helping me get to grips with the programming of these gizmos. My first useful use of the app was to create a navigate home 'button' for the car, Easy-peasy!
Of all the NFC management tools out there, this one is the only one that works without infuriating you. No ads, clear and simple interface, read, write and assess all of your tags. If you are looking for a free NFC tool, grab this one. If you want more, get the premium version, it's worth it.
Super simple and easy! Makes you feel like a coder without any knowledge necessary. Super easy to set up and configure. Very user friendly and explains through each step. :)
This app is amazing! So many features right out of the box I didn't expect. While needing two apps is a little annoying at first, they work well together and you stop noticing it pretty quickly
I love this app so much. So I recently discovered that keycards use nfc and also that my phone has an NFC chip. I had some keycards laying around, and I tried it. I don't have a real reason to use this but its so fun to just play around with. This app is so beautiful that anyone should use it. There are no ads and options beyond my need. Perfect.
Excellent software, very easy and convenient, does everything you need to do. The only thing I would add is to save the info to program or edit future cards. Thank you
Still learning but not sure how to use this one problem I've learned is I think even though my case is really not thin I have a magnetic piece that covers right in the center area of my phone on my case. I have two apps for it to do task and every time I use them and add a task it disappears. It doesn't make any sense if I've got to take the case off all the time to use it.
Amazing nfc tools for all your needs. It had all the function plus all the task you can find in the other apps. Plus, it's so intuitive that you can duplicate, copy, etc with ease. Even more, you can customize your variables. Complete yet very easy to use
Im not that much of a tech, but from what ive seen, this app is pretty informative. Using it for loading a smart ring..this app tells me what tech my bus card has, for ex., and it shows its tech above my free apps paygrade..its interesting to use, cuz i know my particular smart ring does more than bring up webpages like i programmed mine to do.
Only needs the NFC permission, which is a big plus compared to other NFC readers. Thank you for that 👌 My only complaint WAS that after reading an NFC tag, I couldn't find a way to read another one, however, dev responded & they're right. It's always probing for a new NFC signal even when the "Read" section has a previous scan result. This let me confirm that my PayPal card does actually have a tap-to-pay NFC feature - it's just extraordinarily weak compared to Discover or Capital One cards.
The reasonable balance between functionality and feature purchases. A great free starter for those who just want the basics. Fairly understandable from the get-go.
Now Covid has increased the adoption of contactless interactions, the product needs to be more accessible to the lay person. I point NFC Tools to other people but they often struggle with the concept initially. Also, I would LOVE to write tags from QR codes on the Android version (iOS has had the facility for some time), Pro version would be fine.
This is, IMO, the best NFC tag reader/writer for Android! It is always among the first apps I install on new/reset phones. It does everything the description says and much more - limited only by your imagination and the current limits of NFC tag technology! I rarely write reviews - only when an app is truly fantastic or a total stinker. In this case,: fantastic! To the complainers, I would suggest that you first consider if your problems lie in your device's (not all NFC phones are created equal), or in a knowledge deficit on your part (which is easily fixed with a little trial and error fun). I sometimes use this app in conjunction with the NXP app to assist NDEF formatting the trickier tag types or when I'm using a device that doesn't have great NFC support. But in general, this app on its own does a great job - thank you for the work! (A Pro App user - the pro app is worth the pennies it costs!)
It took a while to figure things out, I learned that after after uninstalling tools and tasks, I had to power off/restart the mobile and and then install tools and tasks again to make 'read' recognize the ring again. That was the only way to get rid of previous writers and records.
Pretty good app, a lot of features and everything works fine, sometimes I have to write 2 times but that's fine. I would like to see the option to add a telegram, wickr, signal direct chat link so people can scan the nfc tag and it will open the telegram chat window. But not sure if this is easy to implement.
I bit buggy. Maybe it could be my device, but inconsistent with the results. I can do a read memory and see that data there, but if I just do a read from the main screen, the record will only show up 1 out of 5 trys. Same with the write functionality. Says it it has written but do a read memory and data has not changed.
Effortless task automation. I used to use If This Then That to turn off WiFi on my phone when leaving home and back on again when returning, but there was too much of a delay. With this app, and some inexpensive NFC stickers, I just tap when leaving, and tap when returning, and the app does what I want. I've added some more tasks as well. Turn up the volume, and even launch Google Maps to direct me to the office--but only on weekdays in the morning. Yes it allows conditions as well! Very impressive. I'd pay money for this.
