Works perfect! After looking at several, this is the most polished/developed app for NFC tag writing. Sometimes you just need a physical button instead of pushing a thousand things do only one task. The app's Ul looks great, it's easy to use, and is compatible with the random NFC stickers that are all over Amazon. Also works with the NFC rings. There are tons of things you can do with this (you don't need to know any code). Also, the developer is super nice, and responded to my emails with questions.
This tool is easy to use, and allows you to program NFC tags quickly with almost the entire range of programmable features. It even has a section for experts who want to get right down to the micro level. But for all the rest of us, this app (used with its affiliated apps OR on its own) is a one stop shop for almost all NFC uses. I know some users have troubles with NFC apps - usually it is your device's limitations. Try this app on a range of devices for tag compatibility issues.
Sep 3, 2021 So happy that I found the Wi-fi function to toggle it on/off making this app more useful. The only thing missing is setting bluetooth volume level. Dec 9, 2018 I have been using this for a while now, with 3 NFC tags hanging from my keychain it is useful for me every day. Can't wait to see what other useful functions are built into this. Fantastic App!
I love messing around with NFC tags and this app made it very easy for me. I don't recall if the Wake on Lan was available in the free version or not, but thats my favorite command so far. I'm able to turn on my computer from any of the Tags I write the command on and I think it's super cool. I'll never hit the power button to turn it on again!
The app is fantastic. It's easy to use, and very reliable with its quality consistency. I concern info have, however, is the lack of forum support: there aren't many forums I've been able to find to help new users try and set up more advanced tools. All in all, I would definitely say it is worth upgrading to pro.
Great app, Works perfectly. If you ever think new ideas, I hope you will add some kind of scan logger. Example, when I come home and scan my NFC‐sticker/tag/etc, this app will log time and date and short info about that tag. I don't think you need a complex system, you can use even your old stickers/tags/etc and only think is that app will show and keep records of time and date when scanned. I hope you understand my broken English.
Issue resolved, appears to be the chip. support was very forthcoming and helpful in the troubleshooting. Sadly, this device does not appear to be compatible with this mobile. Would be most helpful to indicate if the device has detected a chip, since the antennas are not clearly marked on all mobile devices and the user has no idea if there is a connection...
The app is pretty easy to use, but im knocking off a star because when you try to add a network configuration as a task an extra record directing to nfc tools gets added which can't be removed. So what happens is instead of being prompted to connect to the network you are instead sent to nfc tools in the playstore. I ended up having to install a second tag writing app, formatting the tag and adding the network with the other app. Now it works as intended.
The continuous popup asking me to rate the app is annoying & disruptive. App is very easy to use for things that work, and would be an easy way to get started with nfc tags... But a lot of things don't work. I got this wanting to use it to toggle wifi hotspot functionality - which is listed in the app description on the Play Store - but that feature has been broken since Android Oreo. It's normal for updates to break things sometimes, but frustrating that the description wasn't updated.
I was able to save info to my ring (ty you tube guy) that I got off wish. It took a minute to find the sweet spot on my phone (s10+ is a little up from bottom right). The interface is a lot easier to figure out than the one recommended in the paper that came with it, and asks for way less permission on my phone. Only suggestion I have is to make medical thing take a little less data off the top. I couldn't even fill out the fields at a minimum of call 5 letter hospital and have it go under 200.
My IT dept showed me to how use this and set up digital business cards for my employees. It's simple to use, pretty intuitive. I would love to be able to enter data using a website. Perhaps create profiles and then use the app/phone to update the cards.
App is pretty good, but struggling to have it load a wifi network for guests without forcing them to download an app. Should allow someone to simply tap and join if they have any NFC reader on their device. Hoped that getting the Pro version would help, but it didn't
App works well. You could do about anything you need to do with the free version but it's nice to buy pro and support the devs. If you just wanted to play around with NFC's a little though keep that in mind and try free first. Wish they would work on the mimic NFC that is currently in beta. That would be pretty cool. And wish they would make some type of log that was easy or make the profiles easier to stack up. have 100 tags I want to log, as of now to do so have to make a profile for each.
Just what the Doctor ordered. Easy, clean and with a surprising amount of depth to what you can do. The app scans, reads and writes pretty much perfectly. No issues. Pro version recommended, lots of nice little extras compared to the free version.
Everytime I launch the app it requires me to go to Google play to upgrade. EVERY SINGLE TIME. and when you rotate the device you lose everything you've worked on. As a matter of fact, any aberration from the workspace and everything is gone I got this app YEARS ago and it's disappointing that issues like this have yet to be addressed.
Overall it's a good app I just have one problem with it. It does not seem to support Skylander NFCs which I find slightly disappointing but it is still a great app.
Awesome NFC app! Pair it with NFC Tasks and Droid Automation Pro, and you've got an amazing solution for automation, right in your pocket. Grab a few compatible tags, and within minutes, you can have many common tasks fully automated and ready to go. By adding the free NFC Tasks app, more detailed automations like network commands and app shortcuts are available. My only request is for an easy way to transfer variables between NFC Tools and Droid Aumation, but everything else has been great!
Bought the pro version for media control, but it doesn't actually control any media that ive tried. E.g. Spotify, YouTube, Various Music players. The only thing that did work was the Google Play Music controls, but that is being discontinued, so this wont be able to control media whatsoever.
I am absolutely loving this!!! The pro version is totally worth the money. I just discovered NFC tags are a thing a few days ago, and that my phone can use them. I'm a beginner hobbyist programmer, and with this app it's so simple to write nfc tags, that I could do it even without any programming skills. There is even an option to test the task before you write it to the tag! <3 the app doesn't glitch, either. I found my new favorite obsession. Thank you, devs!!
Awesome application for NFC. Too bad the concept never went mainstream much like qr codes. If it had, this app would lead the pack. Perhaps the technology is just looking for the right mind to make it happen. If yours is that mind, this app is a great sandbox to design your castle.
Nice app, with a lot of functionality. For our use case, we thought that emulating a card would be a perfect option, but we have a need to emulate UID as well as data - unfortunately, this feature generates a random UID instead of allowing us to specify one, or copy from existing tag. This would be a really useful feature - we'd gladly purchase the app, and give it 5 stars if this capability is added.
-UPDATE: there is an NFC Tools Plugin that remains on the phone after uninstalling the app - it is the most annoying f******* thing I've ever known. If anyone is having similar problems, you have to uninstall it through Google Play as the apk files were nowhere. Keeps reading NFC even when the app has been deleted. Must be a recent update, but phone keeps vibrating everytime my contact less card goes near it. Very annoying when the card is stored in the phone case and no way to disable it.
I work with RFID products as my job. This app is great for reading and programming NFC tags for many functions. I can tell the tags to give off small messags, functions, program phone settings, hyperlinks and open apps as long as your phone is NFC (tap and pay) capable. I even programmed some tags to automatically Rick Roll through spotify for people who scan them!
Great features, no ads in free version. Only asks for new permissions as needed. Clear UI. I don't usually pay for apps, but I bought this one within a day of trying the free version.
The app is really good however, it will be even better if you also allow users to manage vibrate for notification. Like on my Note 9, even phone is in Sound profile, I still have to manually turn off the vibration for notification.
Adds some decent feature, however, needs to be able to write to a tag in order for some (all?) actions to be performed. not very useful with things like credit cards. Admitedly, that may be a little out of scope for this but since Google removed lock/unlock toggling NFC seems a thing of the past on Android.
While useful, the NFC emulator is not true to its name. It does not act like a nfc tag, its more of just sharing information to another device that also has this app. If you are going to buy it for that reason, don't. Save your time and money and just but some tags to copy and paste.
Emulation doesn't work at all and neither does the copy tag option. Completely useless without those 2 functions. Don't waste you money if you need to do either of those functions. I tried to refund my purchase however the option is nowhere to be found
Solid App, does as advertised. I went for the pro version...it was around $3...I could afford the loss if it was useless but it's definitely worth paying for the pro version. It has a plethora of tools, simple to use. It's not overcomplicated so you understand what most functions do and there's visual queues for most functions so you know what you're adding/deleting/writing/etc. In short, it's probably the only NFC read/write app you'll need.
