NFC Writer by Trigger

Trigger Writer allows you to simply and quickly program multiple NFC tags.
You can program:

- web addresses
- foursquare venues
- address book contacts
- phone numbers
- emails
- text

We will add different data types based on feedback.

This application supports NFC Forum Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 and Type 4 Tags as well as third party NFC Enabled tags like the MIFARE Classic, DESFire, Ultralight and Ultralight C.

The app is configured to allow you to write multiple tags without leaving the write screen.

Programmed tags will work with *any
* device that has NFC. Everyone who scans the tag will see the same content.

You can buy tags from within the app.

The last 25 recently written tags are displayed on the homepage for easy access.

What happened to the original Trigger app? It's appeared to be gone off the play store, and only the plugins and adjacent apps (such as this nfc writer) are left. What's really strange is I have had Trigger installed on my phone, but it's gone also. My experience in the past, when an app is removed from the store, it doesn't necessarily disappear from a device also, just no updates, etc, and if I were to uninstall it, I wouldn't be able to install it again through normal methods... What's up?

I've had the original trigger for many years, and I love it! But recently it stopped functioning. Is there a new app from trigger that replaced the original one?

It's just useless. The only thing You can write with it is just "hi". Some URLs works too, but it's still not what I was hoping to see. NFC Tools can do much more stuff than this one. If only I could give it zero stars...

For what my needs are, for my hobby, in electronics, this app is excellent.

I wrote a text tag but now when I try to write a tag to call a number I just get 'unfortunately tagstand has stopped'. Unintelligible now

Unfortunately, the one task I need this software to do it doesn't. I'm loading 20 or so NFC tags with contact information. After I select a contact from my contact list, I get the error "Attempt to invoke virtual method 'int java.lang.Integer.intValue()' on a null object references." It looks like this app is assuming that some numeric field is populated and they missed to check for null. I won't give it a one star as it appears to do the other things it claims (though untested by me...those aren't the reasons why I wanted this.)

Could write URL tags, but crashed on selecting email...

I was surprised to find that this was the most useless writer of several I tried in Play for vCard writing. Claims that a NTAG216 (888 bytes) is "too small" when writing 192-byte vCard. Selecting Phone number and Email writing simply crashes.

I couldn't find a way to write an empty tag. Failed writing a contact on first try.

Just realised i can't use the tag to turn the bluetooth on for example when i get in the car. Or to put it on silent when i go to bed. Pretty useless

Using the latest NTAG216 chip with 888 bytes bytes avilable to write , trying to write a contact card with just over 200 bytes and the app comes back with not enough room on the chip.

I have had this app and it was simple and easy to use. The developer removed even the simplest tag writing features like being able to open an app with a tag. Very frustrating and now it is worthless...

I wish it would read a tags info also. Can you add that feature or make another app that does. The other readers interfere with trigger.

Tried Additional Tags > Emails on both Note 3 and S3, app crashes.

What a stupid thing to do to us, Google. Android v5 has not been very kind to my NFC tags. I can't use them at ALL now.

Crashed on selecting additional tag types, and then phone number and / or email buttons. Please fix. Thank you

Cannot write your own contact info to a tag unless you add yourself as a contact. Everything else works as expected.

Jef. N. Aug 28, 2015

Not every tag type works. It crashes when trying to write a tag to call, text, or email. I've seen other user reviews with the same issues. If this were fixed, I would give a better review.

Some write tags for their own programs. Tested it via uninstalling. Perfect. Now I can get those vip gaming cards going hehe

Not much you can do. Only allows for URL, foursquare, and contacts. Can't do phone configuration tasks. Uninstalled.

Unfortunately the Tag Writer App crashes when I just tap on the Phone Number menu option inside the Additional Tag Types option to write a tag. I tried re-installing the app, cache clearing on my Moto X. Hoping to get a fix soon.

Excellent app - I agree with Rick Wheeler - can we have a read option.

Dav. P. Nov 6, 2014

I wanted to write my own contact info to a tag. But when this app opened my address book, I saw every contact except myself.

Can't write tags to launch apps or other phone actions.

On LG G3 after moving to Lollipop - mobile data on/off doesn't work. Didn't have this issue with Kit Kat. Please fix this and you'll get 5 stars ;-)

Col. L. Mar 26, 2015

Despite other apps being able to write to tags, this is one that actually makes tags that work.
