These news are written in plain japanese, allowing beginners to practice reading and learn kanjis, since shown vocab is quite basic and symbols are shown in most cases with corresponding furigana (plus, this feature can be controlled through settings).

The app only shows the news for 1 day and it's not the same day but before yesterday, also the smallest font size is very big for my phone screen and can't hear the playback, access the webpage through the browser is 10 times better.
For anyone wanting use this app to seriously study Japanese, the ability to copy text will be sorely missed. Otherwise not bad. Feature request:please add ability to copy text!
Looks better than the other nhk easy news app and searches jisho, but can't copy and paste kanji into my dictionary for study later so kinda useless.
i'm happy knowing there is an app to read NHK News Web Easy, but font was too big on my 4" phone, i think you can add font size menu in settings, it seems bothering reading news with big font.
Actually, wants something offline .But, its also good, can get little bit confidence to read kanji.
I love this app, coz I can know about Japane in easy way.
...but it crashes every time you tap on settings. Also could adapt to tablet screens a bit better....
Thanks for this app. Having the audio and vidéo too would make it even better!

First thing to surprise me was no furigana is applied to the list of headings, despite furigana being on and showing up in the body text. Its an oversight and shortcoming because we would want to read and understand the headings to know what we want to open. Shame, but hope that's corrected soon.
