Niagara Launcher

It's really great launcher, well thought through, beautifully designed, with some unique aspects. But if for some reason you need to need to reset your phone and install Niagara again - it's a pain. I did it twice because of problems with my phone. Niagara doesn't support backups (they mention something about automatic Google backup, forget it, doesn't work) which makes it the only launcher I know without backup option. Too bad.

Excellent idea. Just like in the contacts app, favorites first, followed by the rest. So simple yet so effective. Also the notifications appearing at the respective apps is a great touch. Wonder why Apple made it so complicated with icons and all in the first place & all the copy cats followed without a thought. iOS also put in place a similar format now. In App library, if u touch search, it presents a list of all the apps on the left & alphabetical markers on the right. Can't list favourites

I think I've been using this for more than a week now and, so far so good. The app is perfect for time killing when browsing apps in the home screen. It's neat, smooth, easy to use, easy on the eyes, has never lagged and is barely near 100 mb even if you use it for some time! The app on mine is still at 20 mb.. 20! I highly recommend! This is the best launcher I have ever used, and has changed the way I use my phone for the better. My only issue with is is that when using gestures on my S21 Plus, I'm not able to to see all my background apps when I swipe up from the home screen, but I can when I swipe up from inside an app. Otherwise this is an amazing launcher, and I'm really considering getting the premium version!

I tried this before for about a week and felt that it didn't support my workflow, although I did like it. I decided to try it again and now use it as my launcher. The last updates added pop-up folders and some other updates that improved the launcher and made it more powerful. I can start apps very quickly and if I need to search for one that is also usually quite fast. The launcher is expensive but I think it is worth the money. I do wish that searches could include internet searches as part of the sources it searches--a minor point.

Absolutely gorgeous launcher. After getting used to it, I can't go back. So clean, so stylish, and so smoooooooth. I love it! Edit: the recent update has taken everything great about Niagara, and turned it up to 11. Letter snapping and haptic feedback feels fantastic, and I love the smaller changes as well. Keep up the awesome work!! <3

This is my favorite launcher by far. I have only 2 issues. One is with the folders. When put an icon on the home screen and then make it a folder that main app can't be changed. So if I set Google maps as the main app then put other vehicle related apps in the folder I can't change Google maps to Waze without deleting the whole folder. Second, on the weather. There's no high and low on the current day. It shows high and low for all the other days.

Clean look and feel but dev makes you pay if you want weather on your home screen, which is something that's free through other apps. Second mistake is that it puts your home screen icons in the middle of your screen without an option to move them to the bottom or top to get them out of your way. Because of these two reasons, I uninstalled and am now using Nova Launcher.

(Edit) Since the last update the swipe up action of the Niagara Button will randomly reset. Having to edit the swipe up action a few times a day. Also some of my installed apps are not available in the launcher, so I have to open them using the Play Store. Besides these bugs, I love using Niagara launcher. Very clean and easy to use!

Sleek and sick, I have never rated a launcher with high stars like 5, The navigations is so smooth it cuts so much time when it comes to browsing applications. The navigation panel on the right side is so useful for precise searches and the UI design is not so distractive which makes the launcher perfect for keeping you productive when using your phone. The only thing I want to be improved is to be the navigation letters font to become modifiable.The rest of the features are impeccable, Good Job

Update: after using the launcher for a month or so upgrading rating to five. Great concept for a launcher. Provides access to apps on a phone with minimal fuss. A bit like Windows phone /mobile 7.x and 8.x in concept. Keep up good work. Great launcher so far. One thing that is missing and which will not distract from minimalist essence of this launcher is notification badges. They would be better than the existing solution and save screen real estate. Otherwise keep up the good work

I have gotten the launcher to work by restarting my phone. I am changing my rating to 5 stars. See my original review below. I have been using Niagara for quite a while now and have really liked it. However, this morning when I checked my phone, there was a notification that Niagara had updated and it showed a link to check out what changed. The link didn't work. Instead, when I touched it, all of the icons disappeared. Further when I turned my phone off and on to get the icons back, when I touched any icon on the home screen, they all disappeared and no apps opened. I had to go to settings and turn off Niagara to get my home screen and apps working. My phone has One UI 3.1 and Android V 11

Niagara launcher is just amazing. I switched to it about a year ago and I'm not looking back. It will take some getting use to but when you do, you can access any app in a small fraction of a second. The free version has no ads and you'd get absolutely everything you want. The pro version is very reasonably priced too and I encourage anyone to go for it.

Cannot use the buy once, own forever feature. I don't like subscriptiobs so I just want to buy it. But I've been trying for weeks and it won't let me buy it. It comes up with payment choices and allows me to pick a credit card, but when I hit buy it just goes back to the menu without purchasing anything or throwing any errors Edit: The response from the developer was not helpful. I use Google payment services often and they work for everything except this.

The Laucher is really simple to use and super helpful to those who want a more productive and less unconscious use of their device but could you make it so that when we receive a notification on one of the favorite apps or when we are listening to music, the list of favorite apps instead of staying in the same place causing the apps to disappear to the bottom, the list go up so that the remains fully visible?

I must admit, I was kind of skeptical. I've had experiences with minimalist launchers before that have never really worked out for me but Niagara has really helped. I don't mindlessly open apps as much because I have to deliberately find it in the app drawer and it has me opening my phone less. The fact that I can hide as many apps as I want on the free version puts this launcher significantly above the others I've tried. Thanks for making such a great app!

This is one of the best free launchers in the market. It changes the accent color according to your wallpaper. The animations are extremely smooth. All these little things make the overall experience very superior than other free launchers in the market.

Best launcher I know. Just one issue though. The swipe up action can not be changed to other actions. No matter what I do, it seems to remain on search, and I don't really need search, I will like to set it to news feed. Other than that, everything is perfect. 👍🏽

So simple and straightforward! Probably the fastest launcher I tried. Now that I think about it, it really reminds me of the Windows Phone. Sure no tiles here, but the idea of main screen with few important apps and then the alphabetical list of all apps. Instead of tiles, it is all a list here. I like it!

the best minimalist launcher there is!!!! with every penny i surend on buying this!!! add the launcher says, it takes time to get used to it... been using it for around 2 years now and my phone still feels fresh and easy! i don't know about you guys but seeing my friends picking my phone and not knowing how to navigate through niagra launcher is very cute and funny to watch. and the amazement that follows when i explain and show that this can do is priceless!

If you are looking for an organized, lighting fast launcher for your phone, this is it. You can get to any app, not just the ones on the main screen, in two to three taps of the screen (four if you make a mistake). That is faster than any other launcher out there. The developers of this launcher are also constantly looking for ways to improve it.

I really like this launcher. Takes a little getting the hang of it but fairly easy to learn and works quick and smooth. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try something different and awesome for a launcher. Would have been nice if it came with some icon and wallpaper options of its own to choose from but those can easily be gotten from the store. Really nice app

Been Pro member for two years now and I must say this is the best launcher I've ever had. There's been many subtle updates over the years that's just made the launcher even better but without straying away from the simple design. I recommend this launcher to everyone who wish for a simple, clean and easy experience. Thanks to the developer for this experience.

I've tried many launchers however I could not find the one which I need. Niagara launcher is the most minimal and smooth launcher and really different from the rest. I feel lucky to have found this launcher. The only small issue is that when i open the recents it lags a bit, otherwise it's a great option.

If you can add a grid view for the home screen instead of a list, that would be great. I have a lot of apps that I use on the daily, and scrolling through them gets a little tedious. Great app, and great updates! Worth the price for pro.

So to rename an app you hold the app icon, when the app menu appears you hold on the icon at the top. Not great UX but I understand now. The thing keeping me from using this though is no quick way to hide apps already in folders from the main list without manually hiding each indivually. In other launchers there's been folder options where I can quickly toggle whether to hide all the contained apps from the main list. I'm trying to declutter but I do still have a lot of specialized apps I need.

This is such a great launcher replacement. It is so different then most of the launchers on the market, I have tried a lot of them. Not only is it different but it is butter smooth. It creates a very clean and new look to the home screen. Tons of great features and very intuitive. The ability to create actions with the favorites on the home screen is sweet. It took me a few days to get really comfortable with the changes but it did exactly what I wanted it to do, which is to give me a more clean and organized look on my home screen with less distractions and more of what I want. Upgrading to the PRO features is a must. Also, their customer service is great. I was having a google sync issue and they not only replied to my issue quickly they followed up again to see if everything was fixed and working properly. Even suggesting trying a few additional troubleshooting steps that were really helpful in figuring out the issue. Highly Recommend

Most interesting launcher to hit Android in ages. My experience has been flawless so far. One suggestion, it'd be awesome if we could have different favorites based on time of day. For example, between 8 and 5 I can set some work related apps to be my favorites then have it revert back after five. I don't need Teams to be a favorite all the time, but during the work day it'd be awesome to have it at the top. Keep up the amazing work, can't wait to see where this launcher goes.
