Niche: Colleges, K-12, Companies & Neighborhoods

It's been a helpful site in the past, but I can't open the filter option to change the search parameters. Every time I try, the page refreshes and closes the filter menu.

Overall, it's good information. I feel it's biased towards bigger cities. Also, the search bar is super frustrating. I will try to type the name of a city and it will try to auto finish it for me. In the end I just have a jumbled mess. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It has been really helpful in my search for colleges, considering I didn't know where to go before installing this app. However, it has some issues. 1. It refreshes when you change to other apps, so you lose the progress you have made. 2. When looking colleges by majors, it doesn't show the Classics major! Please fix this, since it is offered almost everywhere. If you show History, you should also show Classics.

The content in the app is great and very insightful. My problem, however, is that the app keeps refreshing when I leave it to go to another app. When I return, either the app is blank or it refreshes to the home page and I lose previous progress. I then have to rerun my queries, which is extremely annoying!

Doesn't load too check out homes near the schools I'm looking at. Completely worthless. I keep getting an error. Frustrating. Deleting app.

This app was extremely helpful in finding the right college for my 3 oldest kids! It was easy to compare campuses, tuition, important dates, etc. However, I was interested in finding a private school for my daughter in high-school and I was only aware of 2, neither of which shows up in the app. Maybe they are too small?? It was however useful for info on the local public school.

this app is super annoying to use! I wanted up explore potential neighborhoods and it's so dam clunky that it's impossible to find things like how to get back to the map once you put a neighborhood on your list and how to get a neighborhood off your list and how to FIND your list once you've made one! no thanks I'll just go back to walk score, its a decent concept but the developers really need to think about ui interface and all the back and forth required before releasing an app.

Want to use the app but keep getting an Error when checking nearby homes, where it can't load the url. Super frustrating. It was working at some point before I chose to always open in a specific browser

It was nice to see my chances of getting into colleges and things of that nature, but when I try to do some of the college quizzes to see where I fit in, it logs me out and tells me "Open in the App" even though I'm already in the map. Not sure if its my phone or the app, but I have trouble navigating it.

I wrote a review before and will update now. Still very impressed with everything and very thankfull to the people who made they app, they must be very smart and hard working! 😉 I love to look about different cities and towns for fun to see what there grade is. There are absolutely no ads within the app which is awesome 👏

This app is very organized. It was very easy to find the kind of schools I was looking for. Niche has lots of filtration options and categories you can look into when looking for schools. I would definitely recommend getting this app.

Very handy app with tons of info on colleges, neighborhoods, occupation outlook, etc. Essential making for educatedeveryday life choices. Thanks dev for making an app that has the ability to make huge impacts on not only our youth who are coming to adulthood soon...but those already in adulthood who just need a little bit of guidance in the right direction. Id give it 10 stars if i could

The Niche service itself is great, but the app is slower than the actual website and is way more inconvenient to use. Personally, I think it's not even worth it to download it, just use the site.

Useful tool, garbage UIX. For the love of God hire a UIX designer... This is just one of many examples, but when I leave the app, and return I'm prompted to login again and top of that my previous search is gone... This is an easy fix. That's just one of my many grievances.

Just checking it out to compare colleges. Seems helpful however, I'm concerned everything I'm reading is outdated. All the reviews I've read are from 2016 ... thats over 4yrs old? Am I really getting the best information to make an informed decision? And the app constantly force signs out immediately if I leave, say to go to another app for reference/other. Continual sign in is very annoying! Also the UI isn't very intelligently designed.

It's freaking awesome, you have to try it if you're looking for a school, a place to work, or a place to live. It's basically Yelp for your life

this app is my best friend as someone who is going into their senior year of high school who is looking and applying for colleges. 6/5 stars! it is useful, easy to use, and overall a good app to manage your colleges.

This app is SO useful for researching colleges. They have acceptance rates, application fees, reviews from students, and even an admissions calculator to see your odds of getting accepted. They also offer scholarships but I haven't tried signing up for those since I'm only in 10th grade. It's a really useful app, and I totally recommend.

Extremely useful for searching places to live, schools, and colleges. It even has a feature that can calculate your probability of being accepted into a college! Would highly recommend.

I used this for college, and felt that although I didn't get into the most popular schools, I got into a very safe (enviroment) and pleasant school and I knew because Niche said so. I went and yeah, it's a super loving enviroment. Currently trying to concieve and am excitedly looking for quality daycares and preschools. :D

filter doesn't really work which makes this app mostly useless for me

It is a very good app. It's great for comparison between 2 or more colleges and universities around the world 🌎. The app also helps to calculate our acceptance rate in different colleges. Great app👏👏👏

Very helpful. Especially since college board doesn't have an app. Niche is also a lot better than college board in terms of searching for scholarships.

It is quite helpful for high school students who are choosing colleges in the U.S. But, I would suggest to filter the college reviews to be more authentic.

good data. Please revert the search function back. since the last update, searching for a city is not intuitive and looks confusing

Hey,I loved the app and been using for a long time.However,I've issues with the search bar,the keyboard works automatically and I have problems in typing.I tried the app in another phone but anyhow the problem continues there too.

I can search just fine, but every time I try to log in I get an instant error message that something went wrong. I've contacted niche already but they still haven't gotten back to me

I would rate it a 5 if it would get off the main screen when i download it. I use niche all the time online because im going to be moving next year but the app doesnt work at all for me.
