niconico - Japan's biggest UGM

The app is nice but it pretty hard to navigate I've been on the app for 3 years and it still kinda hard to understand what is what. It be nice to have a choice to change languages like English, German, Spanish etc.

Where is the English language settings? (Switch languages) there is Official website blogs listed on there saying is as such. Really ain't there. Unfortunately don't won't to give low rating becasue of no english translations. Is it because fear of cyber bullying from different language speakers is why reverting there changes? if so oh well it is what it is. How about updating on no longer having different languages i highly might not give 1*, including others people discovering this app.

Although this app is missing some features from the web version, this mobile version of nicovideo (or nico nico douga) is still great. This app also have some new features that the web version (currently) doesn't have. The UI is very intuitive for me despite having used to other mobile video sharing apps. Plus it have some sort of "tutorials" or hints to describe some of its features in case i didn't know about it. For the UX, the app feels very light because it loads contents really quick. Also the ads are not too obnoxious and are usually related to what i am watching. All in all, definitely a 5/5 from me. I look forward for the future updates.

I paid for premium membership but i can't use any premium benefits in this app. In my profile, the premium membership button still exist and when i tap on it, and tap to register again, it says error because i was already a premium membership. I need help for this problem.

Uuh, seriously, some people are giving low rating just because it's not in the language they understand smh. The world is not revolving around you. Japanese is not even that hard if you actually try. Ah, sorry, I forgot that native English speakers generally are monolingual and not very good at tuning into language variation🤭

NicoNicoDouga is pretty much like YouTube, but in Japanese. It's an amazing app, but one thing I would improve is translations and language options (not everybody can understand Japanese). I myself can barely understand Japanese.

Alright, updating my review. For all the new people: niconico USED to have an English mobile version, but one day they got rid of it, which upset some people. Now as to the current revamp: on the plus side, we FINALLY got a like button we've been wanting for years; especially since mylists have limits for free members. Now, my big sticking point about the revamp is turning the Quicklist into the inaccurate Watch Later, which feels like nico is trying too hard to be like YouTube instead of itself

But okay, to the people complaining...from a Half to you: On one hand, I get it; YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc. ALL have multiple language options. On the other hand, those are AMERICAN sites where many different cultures live. NicoDouga is JAPANESE & isn't super popular outside of Japan, so the app stays in Japanese. Period. Not being mean but America, Europe & any other English speaking country isn't always gonna be catered to❤️The browser site has English, go there. このアプリを使いたいなら勉強してください😊😊

Nice video sharing app. It's basically Japanese YouTube. Lots of people complaining about it being in Japanese only. If you want Nico Nico to be in English, then why not go to the website? You can change the language on the website version. But anyways, great app!

THIS APP IS AMAZING! Everyone if giving it 1 star because it's a JAPANESE app, written in JAPANESE. Not everybody on the planet is gonna redo all of their work in a different language just to cater to you, because you don't want to take some time to study Japanese. Japanese is actually quite simple and easy to learn, if you took even just 5 minutes studying every day, you'd see how easy it is. As for how good this app is.. DOWNLOAD IT!!! IT'S GREAT!!!

I love this app since niconico is a japanese app naturally it'll be in japanese. I got used to it even tho I don't speak Japanese so I don't think it's that big of a problem. although an english option would be great since they just need to translate stuff.

I am learning japanese at the moment and this is very useful. I don't understand why the rating is so low - my guess is just people who are too ignorant to learn another language and expect it all to be translated for them. Great app, easy to use, helped a lot.

Ads won't stop playing audio over and over again even when another video is playing, navigation is obtuse. Reasons like this are why I'm having to switch to third party apps.

Hey! I'm used to the controls and I'm able to get around the app just fine. It is a bit hard to understand some things though, searching through the settings I was unable to find a language option.

Every other people outside Japan other than the Japanese is like "WHY IS THERE NO ENGLISH?" this application is made for the Japanese and it will stay like that. It is only open for other countries because some Japanese people are also not in Japan. Be more polite and stop cursing this app, foreigners! The app is great, keep it up!

I loved it at first even without translation but the videos won't play even at lowest quality or auto :( could use a tiny bit of translation just for things like profile changes.

Niconico’s desktop is available in Traditional Chinese and English. If you have difficulty reading Japanese, please visit the desktop website. In addition, Chrome Translator can help you a lot.

UI is a bit clumsy to navigate through. Feels like I'd get the same experience in a web browser. The service itself is fine.

The ap itself is great! I don't know why people are mad it's Japanese...its a Japanese app?? But that's whatever.. Although there is no English interface it's easy to find out what things do especially if you've used the website before.

Amazing app, but oftentimes crashes upon entering, and hard to navigate after removal of the English version.

Y'all, it's a japanese app. You can still manage the app even without it being in English if you try hard enough, it's not difficult.

good youtube-like functionality but it really needs language options. i want to keep my system in english but be able to see the japan side of the site

Cannot start the app at all. An error code was shown and that was it. Not sure what happened but I could use the app before last month.

Whenever I try playing a video, it won't play. It always has this error pop-up sign and leads me back to the homepage.

Good app, lack of language changing hurts the usability and, by the looks of the reviews, it seems it was done intentionally to close out foreign audiences, therefore making no sense for this application to be available in the USA Playstore

aap is great and i am not saying that change the language but when they send notification or message to me , i have to take screenshot and then translate it . Atleast give optin of transulation on notifications etc😅😅

The app in itself is fine. Unfortunately (I'm not sure if it was because of an update or what), I'm unable to use English or see English comments.
