Nift - Neighborhood Gift

This app isn't offering gifts. Instead, they offer coupons for expensive subscription products (wine, hair loss, meals, etc.) The business model is referrals. As a customer, you are the product. Additionally, the app keeps crashing and the in app browser is extremely limited (can't open in standard browser, for example). Not recommended because it's so misleading.

I am still trying to figure it out. Like for example it says free gift worth $30, yet it only gives you a $10 credit on an $18 gift. Also the surveys just continue to be asked ,but it doesn't save your answers so you can earn more points. Like I said, it's a little confusing. On the plus side it also seems very interesting and definitely keeps you drawn in. Thank you!

The concept is great & the app is easy to navigate. However it's a bit of false advertising claiming to be a "free gift" when in reality all the "gifts" I've been offered were simply discounts applied through a promo code at checkout, where you actually have to pay the difference. So you select your "gift" & are redirected to that website, select what you want, at checkout apply your promo code & pay difference. Not free. And choices are VERY LIMITED.

I liked Nift until recently. The app is nice and easy to use. But lately all the "gifts" have just been hooks to get you to sign up for a monthly subscription of something. You name it, there's always a triple $$$ string attached. I got a nift for a "free" razor trial kit which I would have actually have liked to try, but the catch was that you had to sign up for monthly delivery before you even tried it! The category system is irritating and a waste of time. It can never find something useful.

Klunky site. Awful gift options. The categories are locked with things inapplicable or uninteresting (not at all personalized) and either require a minimum purchase more expensive than your "gift" (read: coupon) or a subscription. I was unable to refresh and change categories as the website claims. If you accidentally claim gifts, there's no undoing it, and redeeming can be another process entirely. Hard to cancel. Forced, unclear, and misleading...Overall not worth the headache or spam emails.

Getting a giftcard to use is easy. The options they give you though, are awful. Everytime I've received a card the reward options are consistently terrible and they only give you a couple options. Don't bother. This is garbage.

I love how easy the app is to use. My only complaint is the categories option. I would prefer to have a large categories to look at and not the 6 randomly generated ones. The approach that is currently implemented makes it more difficult to find products that I would like or use.

SKIP IT-- This is utter BS- the website says explicitly the "gifts" are completely paid for however they all cost way more than the "gift credit", PLUS they are not even remotely local, bad selections that are trying to lock you into subscriptions that are impossible or even cost to cancel - even these reviews seem like BS except for the 1 stars that are completely correct.

The categories Nift offers: personalized wine subscription, fitness tracking, USA's most popular meal kit, wine club, keto meal delivery. That's it. All of them require you to pay part of the price in order to use your gift card. I do not like any of the categories and I certainly would not like to spend money on an unknown product. Not worth my time.

Clicked anywhere trying to go back. It gives me a certificate code. I would never use the code for that store. So a waste I guess. Very messy. Should have an, Are you sure? ; pop-up window before selecting the final choice. Why is there only two given options, and not a whole list?

The app was great until recently. I went to open it and nothing would load. After several emails with support, nothing was resolved, so i found a solution myself. The linking between my Google account and my nift account is broken. As a result, i cannot log into the app using my linked gmail account. There is no option to type in an email and password on the app, so I went through the nift website to log in. Everything still works without the app. Just Google "nift gift login" to get there.

This app is so easy to use very quick start! A gift of $30.00 All I did was download the app, sign up. I think this is going to be a daily thing for me. I love free gifts. I definitely love trying new places products too! The discounts!!! a double win. I definitely recommend this app makes me happy for checking it out.

They use the word 'gift' a lot but it's more of a scheme to get you locked into monthly expensive subscriptions. The 'gift' options aren't very good either, lots of dog vitamins and weird stuff like that lol. Don't be fooled! You don't need any of this stuff, and they make you feel like you do. #consumerism101

Irritating to use. Not sure how I got the gift card for this app but I have it a shot. Downloaded the app and was given a larger amount gift card. But it is so irritating to find something with the categories that they give you. Then when you do find something you might use, you have to pay shipping or order a specific amount in order to use it. Gift cards are so you don't spend YOUR own money. So nope. I'm good. I'll keep my spending to what I can actually afford.

This is the worse app/promotion ever. You click what you may be interested in and it pops up and gives a code before you have a chance to even browse the sites and deals. Then if you dont want the one you looked at its too bad. The whole thing is confusing and a huge waste of time

*Literally the worst app ever. Can't choose what you want to use the "supposed gift card" on . Think of the gift cards more like free trials. Everything is a subscription service. Worst part, there is no links in the app whatsoever to contact customer support to erase the mistake of signing up.

The choices given were irrelevant to me. One was for wine, but I do not drink. The other was for supplements but I already have two subscriptions to natural nutrients products. I wanted a local restaurant where I could possibly become a regular, since I have not explored enough of my new city. Needless to say, it is a great idea but it was launched prematurely before having a large pool of participating businesses to provide a wider range of choices. As of September 2020, there are no merchants in my city, which has a population of 51,002 plus me.

I love the ease of the app. However, sometimes the nifts are for locations that are extremely far away from the zip codes inputted. That's the only drawback. Other than that, it's a great way to explore businesses that I usually wouldn't visit.

Easy to use and a great way to explore local businesses. It was a but hard to believe it was a true service at first because it sounded too good, but the concept is simple and truly makes sense. Basically give a sample and people will come back. I've definitely enjoyed my gifts and have shared with others.

So far, it's great! The choice brands online and the product has really impressed me. I had no cost, no payment info was requested from me and I was given discount on the item I was interested in just for subscribing to the site that I used my gift card at. Lord Jones is a great company with great product. And NIFT.....such a cool idea! I had absolutely no problem using the card I was gifted. Getting points is easier than expected and I was actually able to gift a Nift!! At no cost to me!

I appreciate the thought of this the app itself isn't great. There's lots of business here but it only came up with about four.I can't look a gift horse in the mouth so I'm not going to complain about that, however it's the app itself I'm critiquing not the gift. And there's also the fact that I filled out the survey several times for extra points.but when I say when I clicked on keep going it just took me to the same ones and the points didn't get added. No matter how many X's I took them.

I was contacted about setting up Nift for my restaurant. I went to check out the app to see it from the customer's end before agreeing to anything. I was told this was supposed to push neighborhood businesses. I was connected with an online wine ordering service. I thought, "Okay. Not what I thought this was going to be. I'll try to use it anyway." I got the code, but it's not working when I go to sign in with my email. It just keeps freezing up. I am not using this for my business.

Useless. No local offers with no option to change the zip to view offers in other towns. Online options suck. Your offered 2 crappy options with no option to view others. This seems like an attempt to get you to hand over info in order to get a "gift card."

Needs work. I like to the concept and I've used a few nifts so far with great success. But there's never any nifts! It's really slim pickings and when there finally is one. and too often I'll put in a zip code only to get a nift that's not at al close by.

Worthless. A 10-20% discount on a product that I would not take home if it were free is not a gift. It's even less of a gift when the product is overpriced by more than the discount offer. The pretense that there is exclusivity associated with receiving this gift is a gross misrepresentation of the value and the business model. Cancelled, uninstalled, blocked.

At first I was kind of skeptical, even after reading reviews, because let's be real not all reviews are legitimately real!! But after downloading and trying it out, it was pretty easy now I'm waiting for a free $32 hair kit to come in the mail.. can't get much better than that!! -Thank You Nift-

App is super glitchy, you'll get all the way to checkout, will send you a sms code, and when you go to see code, the app resets you back to the nifty homepage!!! Extremely frustrating. Almost as irritating as how none of the codes work, nor do they apply themselves at checkout like they say they will.

Glorified referral scheme. They give you a "free gift" then you can only use it at places they choose, then the places you choose always cost more than what you gift covers and you are still paying out money. Meanwhile they are taking a cut for anything you buy from that retailer.

Cute app. You can earn Nift Cards easy, BUT here's the catch. The places that you have an option to use them at, are places I would never use. OR, I've never heard of. Cute concept, but gotta work on the places to use the Nift Cards

I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of Nift every time I use it. I especially like their limited time offer of being able to send someone you know a $30 Nift gift card... That's super awesome! Nift is a GREAT way to discover businesses you may end up loving, that you'd never even known existed before Nift! I highly recommend giving this app a try... And I can almost guarantee that you'll end up enjoying it as much as I do! Thank you Nift team for creating your app... It's so much fun!
