Night Clock: Donate
1) Turning your phone's automatic brightness on or off
2) Tap to dim screen, then turn screen off and then on (using the button on your phone)
To find the settings menu on S5, just hold in the multitasking key (left soft key at bottom of phone).
This version turns off button backlights for most, but not all, phones. In particular, some new KitKat (Android 4.4) phones do not allow apps to turn off button backlights. If it doesn't work (with the tips above), just uninstall for a refund. Some phones disable my ability to turn the lights off, and unfortunately there's nothing I can do about that.
If the background is a gradient instead of just black, you need to: turn off "Force GPU rendering" in your phone's "Developer"
settings.

This is a simple, retro-style night clock. It will display the time in big, bold letters (three fonts and any color to choose from), along with having a built-in alarm (or you can use your stock android alarm, it it's supported). Since the screen will stay on while the application is open (unless you manually turn it off), it is highly recommended that you keep your phone plugged in to charge otherwise it will drain the battery.
Some features include:
-Silence notifications
-Tap to dim screen to lowest possible setting
-Launches when put into the multimedia dock (also has flipped mode for use without a dock)
-Font and color settings (when choosing text color, drag your finger away from the center to change transparency)
-Built in alarm (or use stock Android alarm, if your phone supports it)
-Show next alarm on clock screen

It's an ok app, but would be nice to be able to customise text size etc especially after paying for the Donate version. There are free night clock apps which offer that function and more.
Works brilliantly on Samsung Galaxy S8 - no buttons at bottom of screen. I can now find the time in the middle of the night without fighting my Fitbit which is blinding! Tip: I put my phone into Flight mode overnight as i have found at least one app overrides this to display a temporary popup, which disrupts getting to sleep.
I have always loved this clock, which is why I bought the "donate" version. An android update has made the settings menu button disappear and it's made it impossible to use properly. Hence, a reduction from 5 to 3 stars ☹
cannot make full screen to hide white bar at base. that function will not work while the the update is being activated. Without being able to remove the white bar it is just a night light.
Amazing. I have been using this app for years across multiple devices and it has been the best by far (as I have physically tried most of the others). Self orientates, self Sims, always works. Best dollar I ever spent!
I used the free version for a while and liked it so I spent the money on the not-free version hoping there would be some additional bells an whistles like a brightness control. No such luck.
Like others, I've used this app for years and loved it. Has anyone been able to find contact details for the developer to see if we can get an update? And if not, does anyone have a replacement they like? Marking as three stars pending an update.
This app not optimized for Vivo 1803. It doesn't support any functionalities Font color, size etc which the older version used to support. Waste of time n money, sorry to say.
Best to worst after it was abandoned. Doesn't work, unless you count faulty alarm, screen jacking, and taking over memory "working."
Had this a while now and its suddenly started showing the white bar at the bottom. I uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail. Can this please be sorted? It is very annoying.
used to be the best night clock. However, they never updated it to work with the new phones. So it's now usesless.
Sorry, was good but no way to access settings on Huawei Mate 10. I think it's an orphan app (last updated 5 years ago). Pitty, been using app since i bought it many many years ago (galaxy s2!).
Fantastic, I use an old smart phone now instead of the plug in clock in the bedroom, much better. Also great when the hotel has no clock it is worth the little donation company up
Great app have used it every night for a few years now. As others have done I went for donate version as a thank you to the developer.
Doesn't work with Samsung Galaxy S10, can only see the hours and not the minutes with light bar disabled!
Exactly what I need and it's red. So many other clocks are blue which is ridiculous for a clock next to my bed.
Cannot access settings on S10. Buggy on S9. The little twerp does not respond to emails. Google should remove this POS.

don't pay for donate to remove white bar.They did not update for newer phone versions. worked great until then.

I use it every night and it has never failed me.
I have been using this app for years and it is the best. Problem is, when my GS9 updated to Android 10, the settings button on the navigation bar went away. It's useless without that. I've tried holding, the "Back" button and reinstalling. Some folks seem to still be using this fine. Can anyone help???
