I have had system for a 4 years. Worked well for the 2years i had them up. Recently moved and reinstalled after a year in storage for a year. New cables and everything working except remote viewing. It does internet test. It's good. Phone scan good and nothing works for remote viewing. I would recommend other options to this.
Unable to view Cameras from Mobil application anymore. Have owned and used this system for 5years. I've spent a lot of money with installation of camera's. Not to mention moving twice and having to pay for reinstalling camera's. The main reason I chose this system is to be able to check my home periodically through out my day. Know I'm told the server no longer supports this system! What the heck does that mean. Just because it's Five years old, I should throw it away? That's horrible!
Doesn't work. Shows loading icon when trying to connect to security system, which has been correctly set up and correctly configured in the app multiple times. Night Owl has basically been confirmed as a scam by the Better Business Bureau.
I dont know whats worse? Customer support that blames everyone else about why the app isn't working, or the numerous trouble confirmation emails after a hour or 2 on the phone explaining they were working fine up until beginning of december, now only local wifi works. No corrections no more follow ups and no away from home viewing. I was thinking maybe the equipment is to old and buy a newer one from them, well no it hasn't been maybe 4-5 years and it works good at the house, with comcast cable wifi modem.. besides that who wants to deal with this kinda service.... All port forwards done and dvr online and identifies as having a connection the the internet. but these people don't care or would have someone working the phones in tech support that knew what was going on. even had comcast call them on a 3 way conversation and explain to them there are no blocks and everything looks good on their end. result 2 weeks ago sent another trouble confirmation number through email. That makes at least 4 now, but no result. decided to upgrade to a poe system from another company. It was 1k but they have been around for a long time and not a fly by night company
My WAN / LAN numbers are missing when I click Device on the Nightowl app and I am unable to view the cameras on the app. I know the numbers so is there a way I can manually input the numbers? I tried rescanning the QR code to reset the numbers and that didn't work neither.
Can't connect to my cameras again, app works once in a while but mostly not in the 5 or so years I have had it. If I knew I would have this many problems with night owl I would of bought a different system.
Does not work. I hit SCAN on the device add page to scan the code on my DVR, and the app restarts every time. Total waste. I'm considering returning the entire security system as is.
Luckily I didn't pay for these cameras, they came with our house. Most of the time I can't view them, I'm always having to unplug then plug them back in. Gonna change them out for the Wyze cams that are much cheaper and more reliable!
I have had this downloaded and have had nothing but trouble with it. Will not record I cant use on my phone to watch it just spins I wasted 400.00 on this system. I have called once before and they fixed it and it worked for two days
I have tested all 7 of night owls app and found not one that works this one won't connect i tested all the others and all have problems frome not scanning cods to not connecting to not accepting passwords hope to save others time don't bother with any of night owls apps none of them work
The app is crashing again on my Note10. This is horrible! Unbelievable, intermittent at best! I was off my home network and the app went crazy!
love the app. but it keeps closing after I've opened it after about 10 seconds.. could use an update.. I'm gonna try to uninstall and re-install.. otherwise great app!
I bought the night owl camera 7 years ago and still have yet to get any functioning and the apps are all tetrible! Do not buy
No updates and it does not work well after Galaxy 8. Note 20 and up are no good. Is a shame a system that is working is not supported on later Bluetooth systems.
Only allows you to see cameras if you're on the same network now. That's messed up of y'all to close down the network so you can't see it away from business or home. Just to push out the new 4k cameras on people with perfectly working DVRs. Shame on you.
Stop working first week of December after 4 years. I had a professional installer checke the system. Apparently the app need updates, its not compatible with new android systems. Please help
App is horrible. Regret buying your ccv system. Your app crashed all the time... Freezes, can't find connection. Do you guys give support to it? How about an update?
Oops never mind it worked for a few minutes then disconnected . .now I can't get it back up . .I've read all Legacy type DVRs are no longer supported . . Which is sad .
I can not get it to connect with my device. When it seems like its connected i cant get any picture. Have had nothing but trouble with this stupid system

It's being horrible experience!! First my computer stopped to connect on the cameras and now the app doesn't work. Customers service never answered ; [
Can't connect on line for about two months, WAN connection tested good on the house, modem see the dvr, they should be honest and tell the truth, the server doesn't support legacy applications anymore
The app keeps closing or crashes or stops. I can't even finish the set up on it. Worst app and camera ever 😠😠😠ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Developers, where are you? Got major issues with folks that made you rich. Pull your head out of your axx and fix this issue of "old" system dvr not being supported. Was a great system till that happened. Now the app is usless. You got our money and we are left with a POS. SHOW SOME INTEGRITY AND FIX THIS.
I have always had a issues connecting toy camera from time to time, but it seems like within the last month they will not connect at all. Anyone else have this problem?
Connection issues all the time! Haven't been able to connect for almost 3 months now and I sent multiple emails for help with absolutely no response from them!! I dont understand why they haven't updated this software! Definitely don't recommend and we will be switching to something that actually works properly.
