We believe that being a mobile app developer its our responsibility to address this issue. We believe that our smart devices shouldn't be something which has health hazards associated with it and so we have built "Nightly", to comfort your eyes when it needs it most.
Nightly lets you control the brightness of your screen during those late hours and make it automated.
Just click on the Nightly app icon and it dims your screen. To remove the dimming, click on the Nightly app icon or (X) on the ongoing notification.
Enable automatic dimming at specified time. For example set the nightly dimming time at 10:00 PM and the app will automatically dim the brightness. If you don't want to dim just click on the app icon or (X) button on the notification the dimming stops
You can customize the brightness value in the Nightly settings. To open settings just click on the ongoing notification.

I got this because I wanted to make it automatic but it doesn't work. Too bad.
This application works as intended but when active I can't press confirmation buttons while installing apk files and confirmation window for SuperSu root permissions.
I wan to donate this app but i don't have paypal but I can use Google wallet or play store to donate. Thank you nightly
Setting the level at 80 helps get rid of image retention problem in v10. I'm glad I found this app.
Lol i found that smart app by smart developer cuz it's showing clear text on 20% reducing, it's not blur like other apps almost i found best screen dimmer app in app store
Fails to automatically dim on Nexus 9. Otherwise it works
Good and useful app, better than most but there's still room for improvement.using the s9 plus, a small portion of the screen is retains the normal lighting even with the app switched on.
I always love to use those apps which are simple and work perfectly. Nightly is one of them. The icon works as a switch. Loved it. Thank you.
I have sensitive vision and this app saved my sight. Using my tablet with the brightness turned all the way down was still too bright but with this I can better dim the brightness, thank you so much for this app!
Does exactly what I was looking for, without ads and without a problem. Dims the screen. Excellent App that I still recommend.
Very Good Nightly is just what I need for my light sensitive eyes. I would have rated higher but sometimes it switches itself off blasting my eyes with the excessive brightness of my screen on minimum illumination.
Good but timer not working on S6 - only wanted it for the auto mode!
I find it very convenient that I don't even have to open the app to trigger the night mode. Silently does its job, uses little to no RAM, it's a good app.
Fixed my image persistence problem on my LG V10. I just wish there was a way to hide the icon on the notification bar.
One complain - It doesn't dim the navigation bar. If that's fixed it's an awesome app.
The automatic dimming isn't working the way it should be. I set the time that I wanted to apply the dimming filter and my phone screen dimmed like 2 hours earlier. And I have to add, for some reason when I activate the filter, my phone screen flickers like crazy.

Plzz add an option to hide the notification of this app. It's always coming in notification bar when i use it... Otherwise it's awesome
Nice app! It's great for reducing the brightness of your phone or whatever gadget you have. The brightness of my phone doesn't hurt my eyes anymore and it's a great help so that when it's night, my sis that's sleeping beside me won't be disturbed. It's easy to use! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!! 😘😙

I have used this app for some time now. Easy to use and does what it's supposed to do. EXCEPT.... ever since the last system update, which I believe is Oreo, the notification bar at the top, does not dim. Major eye opener in the middle of the night... And not in a good WAY! 🙈🙈🙈 PLLLLEASSSSE FIX!!!!!!

Silently does its work. Just tap on the icon, which behaves like an widget, your screen is deemed ! But a crashing problem with some apps. And what I must say, the timer is not working on My SM-G316HU.
