Nights Keeper (do not disturb)

The white list works (calls go through during DND timeframe), but the app did not turn off in the morning as it was supposed to. Some of the settings were unintuitively named, so I'm not sure if there was just a checkbox that needed to be selected that wasn't. I ended up uninstalling it, which is too bad because it seemed like a great concept.

UPDATE: The app has since been updated, and is back to working as it should. Thank you very much for the quick response, and fix It is very difficult to contact on the website though. Would like to be able to communicate through the website. Since the latest update I get a notification that the profile has started. I do have the notifications shut off in settings. please help me fix this.

Whitelisted or allowed calls are no longer coming through. I have the PRO license and was kind of was relying on this app to give me my rest while still be able to have certain people call me when in need, that unfortunately turned out not to be true. It works to turn off sound at certain times but that's about it. I could use my phone's built-in system for that :(

Great app! Like to see one improvement: an app whitelist that let's you specify particular apps that will still make sounds. For instance, a wake up alarm. As it is, I have to change my profile if I need to get up earlier than normal one day so I don't miss my alarm. That could be a big problem if I forget. Thanks!

After 6th March it does not work. It does not mute any sounds which is very embarrassing, and I have a busy schedule. For the last 7 years that I have been using the Pro version, it was perfect and all my friends were impressed by Nights Keeper. However now it does not mute anything, nor send an SMS. Please fix and restore it at least back to pre-6th March. Alternatively can we deal directly with Nick and bypass Google?

There are 3 different settings, weekday, weekend, and a misc setting. All weekdays must be aet for the same time, there is no flexibility. The app does not stop email notifications and allows text message notifications from white list members. Text messages are not urgent and need to be silenced like all other text. If these issues were corrected I would give it 5 stars.

Used to love this! I used this app for years and loved it. Then I got a New phone and installed it again. I also rebought the paid edition. Set it up and can't get it to work right. It used to silently notify me about calls and texts. If I woke up early I could see at a glance who called or texted without being bothered with sounds. Now it has to wait until the time set to end and then it loads them all on my phone at once. I'm missing important texts and calls. Don't know how to fix this!!

I started having issues with the app not having audible alarm sounds recently. It's been working, but I think a recent phone update broke it. I was able to fix the issue by changing the "Sound Mode Control" type to "Filtration Mode" instead of auto. I did try "Ringer Mode" but that did not work. I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S9+.

App no longer works properly since Android update 9. White-listed contacts can no longer ring through (which is a big problem for me since I work on-call). I can't fault the developer on this as much as I blame Google. The app worked perfectly until a month ago when I upgraded my phone and, subsequently, upgraded to the latest Android (9) update. So sad, really. I've always loved this app. I hope the writer of this app can fix this. I'll upgrade my rating once this vital feature is fixed.

I have two profiles configured, but only one comes on at the set time. The other one I first have to open the app for it to activate. Very strange and a bit annoying. When I answer a call the phone keeps on ringing, not sure if it's a phone issue, but it only happens when the nights keeper profile is active.

I've had the pro version for 3 months and still can't get the White List feature to work as advertised. When the app activates at night it blocks everyone whether they're on the whitelist or not. I have experimented with it and gone through all the documentation that I can find. I sent a note to the developer but still can't seem to get any information on how to work it.

This app used to be great but since getting a phone (LG V60) with Android 10, the White List option no longer works. With elderly family and a job where I have on-call every few weeks, this is a must-have feature for me, Now that it's not working, and no way to contact the developer other than leaving a review.... it's become a "must-have-a replacement-app-for-this-broken-one".... I did get a few good years use from it, but am sorely disappointed development has not kept it a viable option.

Before the changes to the app and the recent systems update, I very much enjoyed this app, but now it doesn't perform as it did. My 'Whitelist' and 'Favorites' callers don't come through any more. Now all calls go directly to voicemail and my phone doesn't ring at all. If these corrections were made I would give it 5 stars.

seems to be a good app for me. I was losing good chunk of battery on my galaxy s7 phone because of apps running on background, but with the Nights Keeper pro version and auto sync turned off schedule it helps me save battery life by almost 50 to 60% more now. I can't figure out why it doesnt block unknown numbers even though I have it set to accept calls from white list only. I receive calls from unknown numbers still. anyone else had similar issue?

This was once a great app. The white list feature is what made it stand out from the rest. Now the white list is automatically erased despite efforts to re-save it. So emergency calls in the middle of the night from your white list are blocked. The only thing this app can now do is block calls.

Favorite app that I've used for years that no longer works correctly. White list calls don't come through anymore. SMS works for white list but volume is very low, can barely hear it. No reply from developers. Please fix! I want to love this app again! Update4/1/2019 - still nothing from developers and now all sms are silent even after profile ends. Can someone recommend an alternative?

White list calls not coming through. Will not let certain people on my white list to ring through (they come up on my screen as a call but no sound no matter which options I have set). If I set the decline blocked call option it sends my wife straight to voicemail (which she is not a unknown or blocked caller). I have a Samsung S8+ with the latest version of Android. Worked fine for a long time now it is pretty much worthless. If you cant fix this please refund all the money you have charged. UPDATE: 5 months now and no response from the developer on this problem. I guess they don't care if the app works correctly once they have your money!!! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP

No longer works. This app used to be great, I paid for it years ago and its been such a good app, but after the update to android 9, it no longer lets any whitelist calls through when a profile is activated. There seems to be some issue with the apps permissions to call log access as now when ever a call is recived the app only sees it as an unknown caller hence it blocks the notification. I wish this could be fixed but it seems the developer is no longer maintaining the app or responding.

Very nice app. I have used it for long time. Allows me to use my phone as my alarm clock while it charges overnight. I have noticed a bug or two over time, the most recent being that I cannot use the Do Not Disturb widget on my new phone. This was a very convenient function, and I hope it gets fixed soon. Overall, the app works very well for my purposes.

I have used this app for years and loved the flexibility for setting up controls for specific numbers. I travel internationally and call blocking is the only way sleep in a different time zone. Unfortunately now the app no longer lets white list calls come through which was the big selling point for me.

I was using this app (Pro Version) everyday to prevent notifications and calls while sleeping odd hours. It did work great for years. Since update it does not work at all. Would be a five star if fixed in a reasonable amount of time. edited review: now the whitelist contacts don't ring either. buggy. Does not appear that the developer is going to fix anything. App simply does not work anymore

Very good app to enable quickly do not disturb mode. The only thing I would like is a widget that doesn't have the title under the widget, but should let the user have the option to show the title or not. With so many different launchers at the market, some of us may not want names on the applications and widgets. Please provide this option and I will give 5 stars.

CONSTANTLY prompts for access to phone when it already has it. And as a result, it doesn't work until you disable/re-enable its access. Forces you to rate the app with constant prompts, which you only realise are there when you go into the app to see why it's stopped working. Not cool.

Instead of just saying "some features only available on pro" it would have been nice to know that I couldn't have more than one active profile without a or account before I set them a up. Setting up the profiles is actually a bit frustrating and not user friendly. Will not be purchasing the pro version because of this. Be more up front with people about what they will need to pay for.

It was working perfectly on my htc u11 w/android 9 up until a few months ago but since then only occasionally silences non-prio calls. If anything it almost seems as everything has been inverted as the prio calls often are silenced but non-whitelisted callers often are let through. Unfortunate because the app when it works as it should is perfect, but is useless as it currently stands.. Also have reinstalled app w/deletion of all data, to no avail.

Since your last update I no longer can receive phone calls or messages when the night app is on. I've checked all settings and my settings on my phone as well I've had this app for years and this is the first time since the update that I cannot get any phone calls or messages in my whitelist. It literally doesn't ring or anyting.

Within these last few days, as soon as my silent mode kicks in I start getting the screen trying to dismiss it. Hitting cancel doesn't stop it from happening so then I have to dismiss it altogether, and resort to muting the old fashioned way.

This app was amazing for years. Now, thanks to Google's policies, the app is completely broken and useless... So disappointed, I loved this app. Update 3/15: Apparently the uodate caused problems for samsung phones, which the developer discovered and quickly fixed. Redownloaded the app directly from developer's website to have SMS support Google doesn't allow, and it is working great again!

Don't waste your time with this anymore. It used to be the best app if its kind, I referred this to MANY people; but now it's rendered completely useless with their changes, I'll have to find a replacement and have everyone change to that too. All services that you'll ever need are now only in pro which you must pay for so there is nothing left working that will actually do what you would get this for. Don't waste your time, find a better app.
